I think I'm lost..

Postby Endesu » Thu Aug 15, 2002 11:11 pm

End coughed, scratching his fuzzy little head. The map he was holding in front of him had clearly directed him to where the Jade Dragon Inn SHOULD be.

SHOULD be.. but, instead, he found himself standing in front of a swirling vortex, from which a 'zup' noise could continually be heard.

"I think I'm lost." End remarked, shaking the map slightly as he stepped back from the foreboding gate. "I don't remember this part of Doma.. then again, I don't remember those Manticores, either. Maybe I should have made a left instead of a right..

...

... oh, wait! ^_^ I had the map upside down the entire time. Well, then! It seems I walked clear out of Doma itself.. I guess I'll have to head back.. >_>;

.. I'll probably be the last one there. Ah well! I hope there'll still be cake left.."

"Oh my! Someone's at the door! Don't you move at all Kyra, I'll get it, don't want that lovely dress ruined!" she skittered out of the room and over to the door, pulling it open enthusiastically.

"Oh! Hello! Are you Miss Dia? Our bridesmaid? Kyra has told me about you, come in come in!" without awaiting an answer from the nervous dragonhalf, Kyra's mom yanked Dia into the house, "So have you put on your dress yet? What did Kyra pick out? Oh do let me see!" ^_^

Shortcut

Postby NamagomiMk0 » Thu Aug 15, 2002 11:30 pm

Kamos was definitely not going to put up with the way the people on the ground were today. Too tightly packed, and knowing Daniel, he probably invited practically EVERYONE he knew, including that "second-rate rentahero", Ash.

Of course...where there was a will, there was a way...and Kamos had THE way...

He halted, and crouched over...concentrating on the chimeric form. Almost as if on cue, the ruby on his armlet flashed a blinding red light, and Kamos radiated a ruby aura...Wings and a tail burst out through his back, and while they would normally rip the back out of any shirt or pair of pants, the special modifications given to the clothing prevented such from happening this time; a lifesaver when one is dealing with a 1200 VC suit. After all, money IS an object. Horns burst from his head, and his fingernails elongated and thickened into claws.

The transformation complete, he stood in his chimera form, for all to see....of course...you've got people running away in terror...some screaming "DEMON!" or running off for the guards....and then you've got the people who you'd SWEAR were from New York, walking by as if it were an everyday thing. Yup...it takes all kinds to make a real city, no matter what country you're in. He crouched again, and then leapt into the air, spreading and flapping his wings, making for the church in a pattern of flying and gliding.

"Now I'm thinkin' like Ash wit' this'n," Pervy says, Leaning back in his seat. "Last thing a married man needs t' get be tools o' imprisonin' folks. Dunno if he'd see th' humor in that. Nor is Ky would, aye? Last thing I need tis fer Kyra t' try an' melt me like she did them undead we fought up north.

He takes a sip from the rum that Molo brought him a moment ago; nothing like a drink before lunch!; the ponders aloud. "Right, tis best we get 'im somethin' 'e can use, eh? Sword might work there, but who want t' get a tool fer killin' on their weddin' day? Maybe a book 'r somethin'?"

"A book?" Molo scratched his head. "Why would we want one of those things? I thought only wizards used them. . ."

He looked around the kitchen. "I have some nice codfish I caught last weekend. . .I think he likes fish. . .er. . ."

Choark

Well that's new. . .

Postby Choark » Fri Aug 16, 2002 12:15 am

Choark blinked a few times as he watched a huge black mass of machinary get in the way of his sunlight and start to decend. It was perhaps thankful that Choark could reconsise that it wasn't some giant creature of some sort because the days trek had already made him hungry.

Watching it land nearby he stood up and wondered nearby.

"Well, Pig's going to need a little longer to rest, so it can't hurt to have a look... "

This was the first time Choark could remember seeing airship and the young man was very curious about a few things.

1) As he stood beside it, he hit one of the walls. The weight of his punch dented the finely made metal hull and Choark sighed a little.

"Not that strong it seems... "

2) He looked round the bottom of the hull. He had expected to see lots of mages strapped to the sides all ready to cast some flying magic, or some big magic wand or something but was very surprised when he didn't.

"What does keep it up then?"

3) Choark stood before the entrance into the airship. Being careful was never high on his piroity list and he was incredibly bored and needed something to do.

Grinning to himself, he drew out his Warhammer and stood before the machine.

"You! I challenge you to a Fighting Match!"

Choark waited. He as curious if they had anyone decent to fight in this thing...

And thusly Dia was unceremoniously yanked into the house by Kyra's mother. The force of being pulled into the room made her hood fall off her head, revealing two strange lumps in her hair. Out of the sight of the woman, at the back of her head, Dia had two long, rabbit-like ears pulled down and pinned to her hair in an uncomfortable-looking fashion.

She stood awkwardly by the doorway, pale blue eyes darting about the room nervously. "Pleased...to meet you, Missus Ryuujin," she mumbled. "The...um...dress...yes...I put it on." Still, she made no move to take off her cape, but rather just kind of...stood there, looking quite nervous and skittish.

Better Late Than Never

Postby KingOfDoma » Fri Aug 16, 2002 1:35 am

Daenj'r was a fully confused guy.

"I'm... the usher... at the wedding... of a PALADIN?" >.< It nearly hurt the poor guy's head.

When he was asked to do this, naturally, he did the nice thing and agreed. After a large bit of hemming and hawing, maybe, but he still agreed. And now that he was searching his home for his freakin' good suit, he was having doubts.

It was true that the mere mention of the P word made him grit his teeth in anger. At times it even raised bile in his throat. But Daniel... he seemed like a genuinely good guy. And to have him help out at his wedding was a very nice gesture... though with all the animosity that sometimes came between them, he was surprised someone else didn't have his job.

Then he remembered. He was an USHER. The very lowest you can get on the wedding party totem pole. Not a fun place to be. All he did was ask people if they were with the bride or groom, and then send them to a good spot in the church. Whatever. Someone had to do it.

The mage then sighed. The suit was nowhere to be found. "Hey baby?" he called to his wife. "You seen my good black suit?"

DUn dun doodly doo! tis jinx

Postby Vampire Jester Jinx » Fri Aug 16, 2002 1:46 am

The vampire slinked towards her husbands voice, quietly stalking him, hoping to give him a bit of a good scare. She had his best black suit in a ball, ready to launch at his head......should he turn around.

Jazz didn't know what to think about today. Hard to imagine Daniel tying the knot........marrying the shy shy Kyra girl......maybe even having kids. This thought alone was humorous to her, after seeign how her own child had turned out. But she would be at the wedding today, because as hard as these things were to imagine, Daniel was a good man, and a decent friend. The amount of times her daughter and her had caused him grief meant that showing up was the least she could do.

With a smirk, the woman also known as Jinx launched herself in a leap at her husbands back.

She laughed nervously. "This is really hard, isn't it?"

The hair picked up on the back of Daenj'r's neck. Something was wrong.

"Baby?" He turned, and got a faceful of vampire as he fell backwards, laughing.

She promptly dumped the wadded ball of clothing on Dae's face.

It didn't surprise Jenna much what she caught her parents doing when she walked in her home, she was only thankful she didn't walk in on it a bit later. She didn't want to see whatever made those noises when they got 'playful', which had a habit of being every other hour.

Deciding to have some fun of her own, it all being in good spirites and all, Jenna tossed a posionous scorpian at her father's chest and waited to see the resulting scampering about.

What better way to say "I'm home" is there?

By Isthar's name, how embarrassing -_-;; Shelia thought, as she made her way toward the ship's exit. The other passengers had insisted that she be the first one off, given all that the elderly mage had done for them. She had tried to insist on going last, but two rather heavily built men wouldn't take no for an answer, picking her up and carrying her toward the hallway leading to the exit.

My word... if I were younger... tehehe... she giggled to herself, thinking things about the two young men that would likely cause her two sons to pass out in shock. About halfway down the hallway, though, she felt a small shudder go through the airship.

>.o? Strange... I suppose we landed on unsettled ground... Shelia though, assuming the airship was merely settling into the dirt. She reached the exit, but found that no one was there. The entire rear cabin appeared to be abandoned, a few personal items lying on the floor, as if the people there had left in a hurry.

Well, that's... odd? the elderly mage pondered, glancing around the rear cargo area, Hmm.. Perhaps they heard about her little 'discussion' up front and went to help the passengers off? Yes, that must be it...

Nodding, she reached for the level by the rear gangplank, pulling it down and releasing the latch on the door. The gears started to turn, slowly allowing the door to come down until it impacted with the ground with a mild thud. Satisfied that everything was in order, she lifted her robes slightly and made her way down the gangplank...

Dress up Dia!

Postby LadyDragonClawsEDW » Fri Aug 16, 2002 11:35 am

"Well then! Let me see let me see!" had Mrs. Ryujin been younger, she would have been bouncing up and down in excitement.

"Moooom! Who is it!" Kyra called from the other room.

"It's Dia! Your bridesmaid!" she regarded Dia for a moment, then frowned, "Please don't tell me you're going with your hair looking like that! I may not be a beautician dear, but I do know some of the dos and don'ts of fashion.." she waggled a finger at Dia, "We'll have to fix your hair up nice..."

Jenna nearly gasped in shock and surprise, but maniged to remain somewhat calm.

"I thought the King had finally put a law against mamma cooking... " She said, giving her mother a sideways glance. The last dinner they had Jenna had saved and used as building material for her fortess. The walls ended up being stronger then Doma's castles.

One should never let a Vampire choose and taste the ingredients to a home cooked meal...

"Err...about my hair..." Dia mumbled, her voice almost inaudible. She knew Kyra knew...but she doubted she'd had a chance to brief her mother. She wanted to put off the discovery, but she'd have to find out sooner or later. "I had a, um...run-in with a...wizard of sorts..."

Carefully, Dia reached back and pulled a clasp out of her hair. With annoying bounciness, her rabbit ears popped up, sticking erect off her head with a perkiness that contrasted with the chagrined expression on Dia's face.

"So...um...yeah..." she muttered. carefully positioning herself so she could catch Mrs. Ryuujin if she decided to faint.

It might be a family trait, after all.

The woman certainly looked surprised, but much to Dia's astonishment, she did not faint. "Oh my! Well then, those will make hairstyling a bit more challenging now won't it?" she smiled brightly and tugged on Dia's arm. "Now off with that robe so I can see you in that lovely dress dear."

Meanwhile, in the castle barraks, a young man with long beautiful blond hair was perparing himself.

"Must look nice of Kyra's wedding no..?" a twinge of sadness could be heard in his voice as he stared into the mirror, straightening the bowtie to his white tuxedo. "Kiki getting married...to a fake paladin nonetheless..." he grumbled slightly under his breath, flipping his hair. "It's not like I could change her decision now though..." he gazed at his reflection. The man appeared to be in his mid twenties and of average build, standing at a tall 6 feet, and decidedly bish.

"As long as Kyra is happy..." Frederick, the white knight, smiled and turned away from the mirror, picked up a small wrapped package on the nightstand, and left his room in the barracks of castle Doma.

Since EzBoard ate my post:

Ash basically overhears the commotion made by Kamos, and thinks it's Rico since the people told him it's a demon that they saw, since the Valth Merc is in his Chimera Form.

So Ash is basically headed towards the church thinking he's going to fight Rico, but doesn't know who it really is.

With a half-relieved, half-anxious sigh at Mrs. Ryuujin's reaction, Dia shrugged off her old, grey traveling cloak, revealing the dress beneath.

She stood awkwardly, unnerved by the lightness of her dress; she was used to wearing simple, heavy, comfortably concealing robes. Sure, her dress reached to the floor, and the dress's sleeves were long enough...and the dress wasn't tight by any means...but it was tailored to fit her figure, and that was something Dia wasn't used to.

Granted, the dress was mostly simple in design. However, there was some extremely fancy lacing around the cuffs and hem that made moving in the dress a nervous exercise -- Dia was constantly worried she was somehow going to rip the delicate lace. Stupid fragile clothing, she thought, brushing down the front of her dress nervously.

The material shifted under her hands, shimmering pinkly.

That was another thing. Her dress was pink.

Pink! If Dia had known she was getting herself into this, she probably wouldn't have agreed to be a bridesmaid in the first place!

Dia pushed that thought to the side, biting her lip to help her concentrate on her current surroundings and her duty at hand. She smiled nervously at Mrs. Ryuujin. "Well...there you go...say, where's Kyra?"

A challenge!

Postby Choark » Sat Aug 17, 2002 6:40 am

Choark watched as the gangplank was lowered in anwer to him. He gripped the handle of his warhammer tight and he beamed a smile in antisipation.

He imagined what sort of person would come out, a 7ft giant muscle man maybe? Some all powerful mage? Maybe a pirate like his new mate, Pervy? Or maybe even some sort of creature they kept on baord!?

Choark laughed to himself in excitement when the gangplank was finally lowered. "All Ri~~iight!!" He screamed as he lifted himself into the air, towards the oppenent coming out of the airship.

It was in mid air when he finally saw who his oppenent was, which was a rather elderly old lady. This didn't knock Choark track of thought off however, as Pig was the eldest person he knew and also the strongest.

What did make him rethink his action was that he reonised the old lady somehow. Unfortantly he was in mid air, and the only way to stop his attack resulted in something very painful.

Twisting his body to change his movement in the air, using the weight of the warhammer to help it, Choark crashed head first next to her. His right leg twitched a little as he laid there...

.. mm, musty.

Postby Endesu » Sun Aug 18, 2002 12:35 am

End was standing on something oddly squishy now. He had attempted to follow the map to the letter, but, for some reason, he was not in the middle of Doma anymore.

No, oddly, the area he was in smelled faintly of roasted meat, mixed with the acid-y smell of acid and peaches. He was surrounded in complete darkness, only the smell alerting him to his environment. He gathered a burst of flame into one of his hands.

While he couldn't inspect the detail on the 'walls' around him, he noticed that they were dark red and very smooth. Odd, broken shapes shifted past him obliviously, and as he turned towards them..

They looked something like half-decomposed corpses. Bones were sticking out of rather painful places, having been partially shattered already, and blood splatter decorated all of them.

It was shortly after that End found his way to the 'tail end' of today's dragon subject.

He soon after took a shower to dispose of the musty smell of dragon funk and saliva.

And after that, he set out again, attempting to follow the map correctly this time...

On the opposite end of the bar at Kotoki's, one of the patrons let out a small chuckle, alerting the chatting trio to his presence. The man was sitting alone at his stool, sipping on a small cup full of tea. Finishing his drink, he looked up at the three with his bright orange eyes, giving them a friendly smile. The man was wearing a bright red vest lined with numerous pockets, which seemed to contrast greatly with his dark purple undershirt and dark skin. Baggy, slightly worn green pants covered his legs, a simple pair of leather boots serving as his footwear. His long dark hair was tied back into twin braids, resting behind both shoulders, a simple red hat adornin his head.

"Hehehe... I apologise... I mean no disrespect to any of you..." the man told them, nodding his head down to emphasize, "However, you all seem to have lost sight of your goal."

He set his tea back down, resting one arm on the bar, placing his other hand on his chin and closing his eyes.

-.- "A gift should not only be something 'useful'. It serves as a message, a constant reminder to the recipients that you, their friends, wanted to show that you care."

He let out another small chuckle, opening his eyes and winking at Pervy and Kotoki.

-.^ "Even something as... 'odd'... as 'fuzzy manacles', would remind them of this day, and of all of you. Remember this, and you will find choosing a gift to be much easier."

He brought the teacup up again, smiling at the corners of his mouth as he took another sip of his beverage. If Kotoki or Molokidan happened to notice, a lot of the plants both inside and outside of the inn appeared healthier than before, some coming into full bloom. In fact, a few flowers had started to grow from small cracks in an area by the door...

At that moment, Shelia said a small thanks to the gods for blessing her with a strong heart. Otherwise, she probably would of had a heart attack on the spot from the unknown warrior's "attack". She cautiously approached the faceplanted man, crouching down near his face to speak with him.

ó.ò "My goodness... are you alright, young man?" Shelia asked the blue haired stranger.

*A Good Friend and an Annoyed Flower Girl*

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

>.<++ "...but I don't WANNA wear an icky dress!!" a small girl pouted, getting an exasperated sigh from the man crouched in front of her. The little girl was wearing a light blue dress, with white frills along the collar, skirt and puffy sleaves. Her brown hair, normally tied back into a ponytail, was now down around her shoulders, two small bows clipped into place on both sides of her head. She half-glared at her father with her dark green eyes, who sighed and pleaded back with his own matching green eyes. He was wearing a Dark Blue tuxedo with a tiny white trim along the front, with white shoes and undershirt, a matching blue bowtie tied around his neck. His normally ragged looking blond hair had been slicked back to make it seem less wild.

ó.ò "Come on sweetness... don't you wanna look pretty for Mr. Daniel and Ms. Kyra's wedding?" her father, Jonas Kilmett, asked her.

>.< "NO."

She crossed her arms, staring out her bedroom window annoyed, adding: "Why can't I just wear my pants and shirt? v.v"

>.> "Well, this is a wedding Gina, it's a very special day for Mr. Daniel and Ms. Kyra." Jonas tried to explain to his daughter, "It's part of showing how important this is... we dress special because it is a special day."

"But if we already know it's special... why do we have to do it?" Gina asked, her father rubbing at his forehead in mild irritation. Unable to think of a logical explanation that would satisfy Gina's curiousity, he decided to resort to his backup plan, one he seemed to rely on quite frequently.

-_-;; "...why don't you ask mommy about it later, Ok?" Jonas asked, his daughter letting out a tiny sigh as she nodded in response. He finished adjusting the dress, shifting back a bit and smiling at his daughter.

^-^ "Awww... if it isn't the prettiest flower girl in all of Doma." he said smiling, as Gina started to blush through her pout. At the mentioning of the words 'flower girl' though, her eyes lit up a bit, a tiny smile forming on her face again.

"Oh yeah! That's when Ayra and I get to throw stuff at people, right?! ^_^" Gina asked with enthusiasm, as her father's face faltered a bit.

"Uh... no sweetness, you don't throw flowers AT people, you drop their petals on the ground for the ceremony." he explained to her.

o.o? "Huh? But you and mommy always say it's bad to make a mess, though?" she asked, as her father tried his best not to sigh at his precious little girl.

"Well... uh... you see... you're not really making a mess, sweetness." He started to tell her, getting an idea, "You're decorating the floor with pretty flower pettles. That way, it'll look nice when Ms. Kyra walks down it."

"Oh... Ok! I'll make sure it's REALLY pretty for her, then! ^_^" Gina smiled enthusiastically.

^_^ "I'm sure you will, sweetness." Jonas smiled, giving his daughter a big hug. He stood up and started for the door, turning back to smile at her again.

"I'm gonna go see if mommy's done making the food, Ok?" he said to her, "I'll be back in a few minutes to get you."

As he walked out the door, Gina smiled mischievously. She reached up for the two bows in her hair, pulling them out and grabbing at her long hair. Pulling it back into a pony tail, she used the two bows to hold her hair together, on at the top and one in the middle of said tail.

6.6 "Now to just get out of this icky dress..." she thought aloud, starting to pull at the sleaves.

"...and don't even THINK of getting out of that dress, Gina Elizabeth, or you'll be in BIG trouble." Jonas' voice suddenly called out from behind the door, causing Gina to yelp a bit in surprise.

-_-;;; "...yes daddy..." Gina sighed.

RebelKitsune

Before and after.

Postby RebelKitsune » Sun Aug 18, 2002 4:32 pm

(I got permission from Dave to put this up, showing what happened to my characters a few days before the marriage)

Janice was floating above Daniel Hyral as he was giving out the invites. seeing as she didn't have an address, and she knew that she was invited, she flew off to her favorite spot in a nearby forest. "Whee! Another wedding!" ^___^ "I wonder what I'll wear this time..." 6.6 "tulips...? foxgloves... nah... dandelions? o.o ... roses~! no..." <_>;;; "mother, can you pleeease help me choose???" A beautiful woman with long, autumn colored hair, dressed in an elegant green gown appeared beside her, floating a few inches above the ground. "Come now, dear... let me show you what you can do with your blessing..."

-----------------------------------------------------------

RedFox was lying in his hammock in the middle of the landfill that was supposed to be his room, reading the invite. 6.6 "Ah, Daniel's finally getting married i see." With those words, RedFox hid the invitation under a randomly chosen pile of junk lying beside the hammock, when he suddenly recieved a telepathis message from his mentor, Warlock. (OOC: Italics means that Warlock's 'pathing)
"Redfox... ¬.¬ don't you cheat on our bet now..."
o.o;;; "Oh come on!!! That's not fair! you knew how and when they would react by their mental patterns!"
"But you wanted to bet, didn't you?"
"No i didn't! 'D suggested it!"
"fine, fine... but you still lost. *chuckles*"
"geez..." =e.e= "Fine, help yourself... I'm going to get some rest..."

(OOC: and next is what's happening now.)

Janice was happier now, since she had gotten some assistance in picking the right combination of flowers to wear for the wedding. ^_^ "I can't wait to see them get married! It'll be so beautiful!!" She was dressed in a rather plain gown made out of grasses and leaves entwined around each other, and her hair was lined with several tiny pink, lilac and powder blue blossoms that sprouted out at the end of her hairs, bunched together as the stem of each flower. She wasn't dressed in the gown she was going to wear for the actual ceremony, since she didn't want to risk ruining it from the start. ^.^ "I've got everything set, including my gift!" She giggled very happily to herself. "This time i won't forget...! Are you coming, mother?" she looked upwards to her side, into thin air, where the same, green haired woman then faded into existence.

"Yes of course, Janice... just make sure you take your staff, dear." She smiled at her 'daughter' and patted her on the head. Janice smiled and giggled into her palms. gesturing quickly in the air, her long, thin staff formed, sprouting out from her wrists. a single red rose sprouted out of the end, and Janice nodded.

"There. all set" ^_^ Mother Nature smiled again, and promptly faded out of existence. "Shall we?" ^.^

"Of course, dear. Don't want to be late now do we?" Janice nodded, then bent over slightly, clasping her fists momentarily. Two pairs of white feathered wings grew out of her back, flapping slightly to loosen the joints. ^_^ "let's go then..." She took two steps forward and her wings flapped strongly, lifting her up into the air, towards the church.

-----------------------------------------------------------

A slim, wine Red kitsunejin lay on his wide hammock, the sheets and pillow placed in the oddest of positions around his body with which one would think that he was all knotted up. He lacked any sort of clothing, he didn't think it was appropriate for bed, especially since he was part animal... He whined with contentment, his hammock cradling him gently in the wind. =-.-= "hmm... Give me back my sugar, Warlock... come on, It can't happen again, can it...? ..."

A shady figure appeared at the door, stepping carefully around the piles of junk that lay on the floor of what was supposed to be Red's room. He walked up to the hammock and nudged the fuzzy kitsunejin. "RedFox! Why aren't you ready yet?" RedFox groaned. "... come on Warlock... It's too early to meditate... What is it...? Something like 2 PM...?" He was obviously talking in his sleep.

Warlock's eye twitched. "REDFOX!" He gave him a mental shock to wake him up.

"YELP!" =O_o=; RedFox jumped up with a start, his tail bushed up to twice its size with the fright. "OKOKOKI'MUPI'MUP!!!" =o_O;;;= Warlock sighed again.

"It's Daniel Hyral's wedding today, and you haven't even woken up yet?!" Warlock was even more serious about it than RedFox was. He knew how important it was in one's life to find that one special person in the whole world... Regardless of him being an introvertial person. Scanning the mental planes fills your heart with every single emotion that exists out on the land, in the hearts and minds of people, and he had paid extra attention to Daniel since RedFox first met him.

"Calm down man, gimme a break! How long will it take me to get ready, 3, maybe 4 minutes?" Warlock was not pleased at this attitude.

"RedFox, have you no respect?" RedFox gazed at him, surprised.

"huh? what do you mean?" "I mean that you should at least consider Daniel in this. I know you, and you'll probably be late anyway. Think for a while. How many friends do you have on Gaera, save for the people staying in this shrine?" RedFox stared, and after a moment he drooped his ears.

"Daniel's my one true friend... He was the first person i met, and I don't know anyone else around here... I see your point."
Warlock nodded. "see? Do you remember what you two went through together? remember just recently, what you put me through to help him?" Warlock crossed his arms and looked at RedFox accusingly, but not without a little smile. RedFox looked up at Warlock, and raised a paw to rub the deep scars that lay buried in his neck and shoulders.
"... Stephan... I was really worried about that guy... Daniel and Midoku cared about him and i wanted to help them all so much..."
Warlock chuckled. "then why stop now? Come on, I bet you don't even have a suit for the wedding..." RedFox facefaulted. "GAH! Damn! Now what am i gonna do?!" =;_;=

Warlock laughed. "I knew this would happen. and i have one ready in my room..." He looked down. "Get some underwear on before you set foot in my room though..." =o.o= "wha?" RedFox looked down and saw his bare crotch. =o_O=;;; "YEEK!" He pulled the sheets quickly over his body and looked at Warlock, blushing.

As Warlock walked out of the room, he mumbled to himself; "Sometimes i wonder how that kid ever got to be a Sage..."

Kotoki stared at the stange man, and nodded. "Erm... thanks..." she started, grinning somewhat sheepishly. "We'll keep that in mind..."

She turned back to Molo. "A pet, hm? I guess that wouldn't be a bad idea. But... what kind of pet would they want?"

Thanks for the kick in the pants ^^

Pervy's eyes narrow as he looked at mysterious speaker. The Pirate knew a merchant when he smelt one, and he didn't care for them. Merchants were responsible to many of the evils in Gaera; this the nekojin knew from his twenty years of preying on them at sea.

Still, he knew that all merchants weren't bad, just most of them. For a moment, he recalls the general store merchant across the street, the one who tried to seehim shoddy goods when he needed to treat Taiar's glass wounds. The thought of that merchant makes the pirate grit his teeth for a moment.

"Right then, matey!" Pervy says, looking the speaker in the eye, "What d'ye suggest, eh? Ye make a point, but a good gift's gotta be worthwhile, right? Gotta be something worth havin'. Gotta fit th' one yer givin' it to, aye? So... why dun ye pitch in an idea 'r two, eh?"

In the back of his mind, Pervy makes a decision, as he quietly scoops the manacles back into his pocket.

Sounds more like a barkeep than a merchant, don't he? ^.^;;

The dark stranger stood up from his seat, deciding that it would far easier to converse if he was in closer proximity to the others. Carrying the teacup and saucer with him, he found a seat nearby the Captain and sat, with Kotoki, Molokidan, and the bar at his right.

"I must confess, I have very little idea what your friend may like, as he and I are strangers to one another." the man told them, taking another sip of his tea. About halfway through the sip, his eyes opened suddenly. Placing the cup down, he turned so he was facing the trio.

"Speaking of strangers, I should introduce myself to all of you, I apologise for not doing so sooner." the man told them, placing his hands together and bowing his head slightly to them, "I am known as Idama Koshinka. I run a small shop down the road, largely for travelling supplies, so I doubt it would have anything you need for your friend."

He returned to drinking his tea, taking a quick sip before speaking again.

"Perhaps if each of you told me something about this 'Daniel' individual, it may help you in your search for a gift?" Idama suggested to the trio.

I knew I smelt a mechant!

"Aye, Danny eh?" mutters the pirate, stroking his beard, "Well, he's a timid one, from what I've seen. Jumped damn near every time I shouted. And 'e's got one 'o them Mazoku things in 'em. And th' boy can't hold rum worth beans."

Ash rounded the corner, and found nothing. He looked around, he couldn't see Rico anywhere. Then it hit him.

IM: The bastard has wings!

He looked up towards the sky to look for his hated foe.

Choark

Postby Choark » Mon Aug 19, 2002 3:52 am

Choark twitched a little on the floor, then back flipped up to a standing postion and beamed a smile at the old lady. His head had taken more punishment then that before, and probably take a lot more in the future.

"Oh I'm fine!"

It was then Choark began to think, or try to to the best of his ability.

He reconized the lady and images of a nearly boiled cat and that "crumbs-mass" thing, or whatever it was called, came to his head but he couldn't quite place it quite yet.

But what was more on his mind was that this old lady was probably dissapointed in him. After all, she had come out for a fight and here he was just standing around.

Well, he wasn't about to dissapoint another fellow warrior. Besides something told Choark that this old lady was really powerful.

Grabbing his Warhammer again and getting into an attack postion he grinned at the his "opponent".

"Sorry bout that, ya looked familar. So then! Shall we fight?" ^_^

*shuffle*mutter*complain*

Postby Jak Snide » Mon Aug 19, 2002 6:52 am

Jak walked slowly down the street, hunched over somewhat and cursing the day. That imbecile paladin was getting married, and of course he and Kotoki had been invited. And his darling had accepted before he could get off a "f*ck off you holy bastard!"

Needless to say, he'd skipped on the festivities of the previous night. He didn't care much for the company of others, especially when said company an assortment of idiot warriors and other insufferable people.

And now it was the wedding day. He'd excused himself the previous night by going out "bounty hunting." Truthfully, he was thinking of finding a South bound caravan and hiding in Inustan for a week or two until the entire "wedding" thing blew over. However, his time alone had given him the opportunity to think about this. He guessed that Kotoki would probably go without him, and act if nothing was wrong when he returned. She wasn't one to complain and berate. He didn't want to exploit this aspect of her, nor any other. Which is why he was shuffling back towards the inn, with the intent of dragging himself to the wedding, despite the fact that he knew he'd hate it.

This train of thought stopped as he walked in the inn door, and quickly caught sight of the gathered people. Kotoki, and her attire, caught his eye.

He walked silently up to her, standing up to his full height as he walked, then bending down slightly to give her a peck on the cheek, doing his best to look happy.

"How are you?" he asked, his eyes flickering down her body quickly, taking a closer look at her dress, before darting back up to rest upon her face again.
