Fairy Tale time then:
In this tale an elderly couple live in a small wooden cabin. The wife, doing her daily chores, bakes a cookie, however a fancy takes her so she takes the gingerbread dough and turns it into the shape of a man before baking it. She gives the small man eyes, shirt buttons, a mouth and other small icing accessories.
When the small gingerbread man was done cooking the couple went to eat him, as one would. The two gasp however as he stands up and looks at them. Oh my, he has come to life! They gasp together. The gingerbread man takes one look at them and runs away yelling "Run, run, run as fast you can! You can't catch me I'm The Gingerbread Man!" After coming out of there shock they were quite miffed there food had decided to sprint off and so they run after him.
Coming to the woods the small, very well made, gingerbread man meets a pig, who talks to him about life in the mud, how, pigs can, in fact, swim, despite visious rumours to he contary and so happened to come upon the sunject of wanting to eat the rather tasty looking Gingerbread man. The Gingerbread Man, not caring that he was far more delious then slop, runs from the pig yelling "Run, run, run as fast you can! You can't catch me I'm The Gingerbread Man!"
Now the gingerbread man is being chased by the pig and his makers, he runs and runs and runs, laughing and shouting as he goes until he runs into a cow because he wasn't looking where he was going. This cow, quite tired of green grass saw the Gingerbread man and decided that perhaps a change of pace was in order. He was getting to be a wide load afer all. Please note children this story is set quite before people relised sweets and treats made you fat and rotted your mouth away. Seeing the look in the cows eyes the Gingerbread man once again yells his his song and keeps on running, after picking up one of his belly buttons that had fallen off.
"Run, run, run as fast you can! You can't catch me I'm The Gingerbread Man!" He says as he runs, faster then the blowing wind, catching the attention of a nearby horse, who was quite surprised to see a Cow, a Pig and two humans running after a small man. Being the horse he was he galloped after them all. After all, a race is a race, though he had no clue as to the end line.
Even with the couple, the pig, a cow, and a race horse all chasing him he still manages to stays ahead of them all, that is until he comes to a river. He can't cross it as it would make him soggy and fall apart. With all the hungry animals chasing him he thinjks hard to try to figure out a way to get across the river. A fox who had been enjoying a nice sleep in the grass until some small gingerbread man ran across his tail, came up to the him and offered to help him across.
Thinking this fox was the kindest person he ever met, he agreed, admiting he had little choice anyway. The fox tells him to get on his back and then then fox then swims across the river. As the water is getting deeper the fox tells the gingerbread man that he'll have to get up onto his head, which the gingerbread man does quickly as the water slowly rises up. The top of the head is rather round though and the poor gingerbread man keeps on rocking and nearly falling off as he was not made with fingers to grib with. The fox suggest that he climb onto his nose where it is steadier.
The gingerman climbs onto the nose and as soon as he does so a small Ha comes from the fox, who then tosses his head up and he stands up, the water not nearly all that deep. The Gingerbread man twists and turns into the air until he lands in the foxes mouth. With one last yelp, the gingerbread man is eaten.
The moral of this poor, sorry tale? Sometimes children, there are people made to betormented, eaten, or for some other sorry purpose that no matter how kind the circumstances may seem, you cannot escape it, for its what you are.
Aren't Fairy Tales fun?
Next is Beauty and the Beast which teaches young girls to accept the beast nature of mens sexual desires or just to accept being married to a older beastly (in appearence and attitude) man because maybe he's actually a charming prince underneath.
