Here comes the Bride...

Unread postby NebulaQueen » Fri Sep 17, 2004 3:12 pm

Anyways, yeah. I've been trying my hand at this whole "brush inking" thing lately, using a Sumi-E kit I picked up in unconventional manners!

I've also been toying round with an idea of mine-a parody of Kill Bill.

Combine these two, and you get...a teaser! (thanks to FD for the hosting)

Parts of it loook kinda dumb (particularly the sword hand and the attempt at hair twigs-what's up with that?), but since it was mostly me trying stuff out, I'm not too worried.

Comments and criticisms are appreciated.

Raging Ryuuzoku >>> Bloody Bride =[

...or at the very least Raging Ryuuzoku = Bloody Bride, cause that movie did kick butt.

Looks nice Neb, apologies that I don't have something much more constructive to say ^_^;

Now, the question on my mind is:

Who'll be the Boondock Saints?

Also, the producer's name is a nice touch.

As I mentioned in IM, Neb has already succeeded in surpassing the source material.

Excellent work, Love. I really like the face, myself.

Now someone will likely have to make this into a fanfiction.
-----

(Not me.)

I like it, especially the face, and the concept is XDworthy.

Though if you're looking for critique as well... I'd say that the hand looks kind of odd. Facing an uncomfortable angle, I'd say.

Overall, though, a nice job.

Zem: Already ahead of you. A comic is in the works, after I get a few things worked out (such as details on the script, practice regarding poses, various stuff to help out the comicing process)

Raishilliah: The comment on the hand is noted; it bugged me, too. I'll probably be practicing different poses for the hands in the future to make them look less awkward.
