Ok, before I start this RP, I'd like to say Hello. This is my first post on the forum. I have done a freestyle forum RP before with one other person who had a lot of fun. I hope I can generate the same kind of fun on a forum that's very active and has tons of members. One look at this forum (and the Rant about RP's) made me know that this is the place for me. At least, I hope. But now is not the time for me to be boring you to death. I"m going to TRY starting my own RP. Here are the basic things.

I don't know anything about those preset stuff, I hope to just let me and the rest of you sort of make things up along the way that aren't too cheap.

This will basically be one person adds on after another, so that it's not just all depending on one person (and especially not me). You can be the world AND your character at the same time.

You can bring in any character at pretty much any time as long as it makes sense to SOME extent (I suppose someone could come in by accidentally making a mistake with a teleport or a warp...hehe..that'd actually be kinda funny. But I'm trailing off. Darn parentheses.).

I hope that we will not have to do things like "experience points!!! wheee!!! level up!!! battle!! 30 hp!!!." I think we should use our common sense more and know when our character has taken some heavy stuff from getting whipped by something.

NOTE: It'd be cool if we could use portraits when talking. So it would be for dialog, something like:
(Picture) Player Name: blah blahbahl bhalabhl
And if you're talking to an NPC that you happen to be controlling at the moment, you can use multiple pictures. That'd be cool :).

The night was silent, the moon was full, and the town of Artitac was silent.

Kai, a 17 year old Mage Knight, was sleeping soundly in his small but cozy house. But in the middle of the night, something woke him up. He peered outside the window and saw a vast shadow covering the land. People were screaming and running, but their attempts were futile. Many were being engulfed by it. Kai looked closer and realized it wasn't just a looming shadow. It was the Black Legion. The one army that sought to destroy every last human in this world. People were trying to fight them off, but they were outnumbered and stuck down.

Before he knew it, Kai's small house was being plowed down. He heard a voice coming from outside.

"Kai! Run!!! They've got the- AAAAAUUUGHHHhhh!!!"

The screaming was interrupted by a hideous stabbing noise and the sound of a person falling down. Kai screamed as the walls of his house were coming down. He drew his sword, as it was the only thing he could do. The walls fell down, and then everything went black.

Kai later woke up in a small forest. He was covered in dry blood. He looked around, when he noticed a figure approaching (this is a time for a character to join). Kai tried standing up, but one of his legs was badly wounded. He tried talking (more like yelling), but his voice was weak as a whisper. He didn't know what to do. This could be the end for him. Kai closed his eyes and lied down.

EDIT: >_< I forgot to describe Kai.
Kai's hair is sort of light-dark brown, and he wears a sort of dark-purple armor. He has a sword and a buckler. He knows how to wield dual swords, but he usually settles for just one. More descriptions will be added when they are needed (and they will be needed unless no one continues this but me).

Unfortunately, it seems that the server where a lot of our information is kept is having difficulty (Note the broken images?), and thusly I am unable to link you to some of our more informative stuff.

But I can tell you that becoming acquainted with some of the community will help a great amount. For starters, I suggest getting AOL Instant Messenger (http://www.aim.com, I believe.) if you don't already. Once you're set up with that, scoot on over to RPGWW CHAT (People > Send Chat Invitation > Send to your own Screen Name and type in RPGWW CHAT as the chat name.) The chat hasn't been particularly active lately, but lurking about in it and observing for a while helps with the community side of things.

As for roleplaying (And most everything else) it'd be recommended to read through some of the current threads in the Main Gaeran (Gaera being the most defined and most often used RP setting) and Other sections. Those will give you a pretty good idea of what goes on here.

So really, acquaint yourself with the workings of our community, before working into RPing here.

(Also, if this comes off as me being an elitist prick, it isn't meant to. We just have a terrible loathe for those who disrespect spelling and grammar, common sense, canon with RPs, and general manners.)

I actually found this forum when google searching for "qrrbrbirlbel" and it caught one of the topics that apparently was entitled, "Qrrbrbirlbel." But the letters R and P made together as one word drew my mouse uncontrollably to this webpage.

I wasn't well informed about much (I basically read the rant about RP's, but I don't think it told me that rp's have to have SPECIFIC rules that you have to follow. :( I thought it didn't have to be like that, I thought it could all be improvised.

oh well, Hopefully I'll be able to slide into this new and incredible world of "RPGWW" and do the one thing that I love most.

(a little history:)
I used to play this great medieval-set RPG called Nox. The multiplayer function was supposed to be a deathmatch/capture the flag, but a few group of friends and I (now known as the legendary Advocates of Peace) turned that all around and we played RP's until the ends of Nox's world. The best RP we ever had I made into a book that I keep on my old computer.
