As the group ran into the next room, the chains fell from the ceiling and were laying in small piles. All around the dream chacers the Temple shook.

Outside, she sat waiting.

"Hmm," She said looking at the temple. "Wonder what is going on in there."

"So, I see you got those fools to do your work huh?" said the man in black as he stood behind her. Delila's eyes narrowed and she tossed her hair.

"Its simple, when you know how to work your audience. besides, who cares who dose it as long as it gets done."

"He won't be happy that you brought in those fools. But, I suppose this is a way to relay find out if they have it."

She frowned.

"If you hadn't been scared off by them," she started.

"Watch it woman." He said shortly. "Unlike you I never run from anyone. The boss called me, I had to go. But I think they may know something."

"Well you best go," she said standing. "When they come out they'll have my little present. I'll meet you back in town. And if all goes well, we'll find out what we need to know. And if those five have it."

"fine, don't screw this up Delia."

She smiled as he disappeared behind a rock.

"Hmph," she said jumping to her feet. She crossed her arms and then put her hands on her hips.

"I know how to get them to do what I want." She smiled again.

Ryo jumped over the various chains lying on the ground, being careful not to trip. "Damnit! Keep moving people!" He continued his run and headed through the next door,..

Gean ran after the others, her feet pounding onto the ground. She let out a shout as she triped over some of the chains. She quickly stood. Sudenly she let out a scream.

The chains had tangled around her legs and were retracting back into the cealing.

"Ahh," gean said being pulled up.

Shek stopped running and ran over to Gean's side, trying to get her legs loose from the chains.

"Just relax!" He said, grabbing hold of the chain, getting her foot unstuck. "And run!"

Gean stood, and ran. She would thank him latter.

They reached the out side, just as the large heavy door slammed down behind them.

Gean stood staring up at the temple. She turned to Shek, looking half embarrassed.

"Thank you," She said. "I suppose, I have alot more to learn huh?" She said half embarrassed.

"Oh is she hurt?" Delila asked running up to them, a look of surprise on her face. "Poor little thing." She said with a sigh. "These little country bumpkin tomboys really don't have a clue do they?"

Gean glared at Delila, who ignored her and turned to Ryo, Rydar, Shek, and Kalin.

"Well now you strong men did it," She said with a smile. "Now the disk if you please?" She said holding out her hand. "And you'll get payed as soon as we get to town."

Gean frowned.

"I don't think so Grandma." She said putting her hands on her hips. "You pay us first or nothing at all."

Delila shot Gean an angry look and then laughed as she walked up to Ryo and Rydar. She hooked her arms threw theirs and laughed.

"Why of course." She said with a smile. "In that case lets head back to town, we can do business in the saloon. And have a bit of a celebration. That is if you have the disk."

Gean turned to Shek and Kalin as Delila dragged Ryo and Rydar along with Her.

"Do you think that she's up to something?" She asked. "Something about Her just. .rubs me The wrong way." She said looking angry.

Shek shruged. "Not sure," he said with a yawn. "Man... escaping from a collapsing ruin of ancient technology really tires you out..."

Of COURSE she's up to something!
~Yeah, I know.~
Then why didn't you say anything?
~Because she might still be in earshot?~

Shek's counter voice scowled at him Still, you could assert your opinion to the group. He countered silently, ~Why?~

Maybe elevate yourself to a higher level of influence in the group?
~Nah.~

While this raging internal struggle was going on inside, Shek began to whistle.

He slung his ARM over his shoulder and sheathed the sabre. He started walking after Delia, Rydar, and Ryo.

"Back across this thrice accursed sand again I see. We'll see what her angle is when the time comes."

Rydar didn't trust the woman, he pulled his arm off of hers and said. "We don't have the disk, the building was booby trapped, as soon as we touched your Computer, it set off an alarm, we didn't have enough time."

Rydar was watching the woman, something on her face told him what he needed to know, she was much more than what she was saying, and therefore he would never let this woman touch that disk. He would die before letting her.

"Let's get out of here Ryo." He looked to Ryo, who had the disk and nodded to get out of here, they needed to get the disk away from this woman. He only hoped that Ryo saw in that look what he had seen.

Delila eyes narrowed at Rydar as she got closer to Ryo.

"Oh, well that is fine." She said shortly as she hugged Ryo's arm. "But I do owe you some gella." She said with a smile. "And I always pay, what is owed."

Gean stopped and stared a Delila. Delila tugged Ryo along.

"You know. You seem to be the only one worth talking to." She said smoothly as they walked off.

(Delila speaks to Ryo alone)

"You know," Delila said to Ryo as she pulled him along. "I wanted to talk to you, alone. You seem to understand the importance of the Temple. And I can tell you were impressed, the look on your face. That's how I looked when I experienced something amazing." She said with a sly smile.

"I want to speak to you alone, tonight after I pay you all for your work. I think that it would be in your best interest to meet me. Lets say at dusk. Just outside of the saloon. Come alone."

With that Delila kissed him on the cheek and walked off.

"Remember," She said as she walked off. "At Dusk. I'll meet you all there. I have some things to do."

(End speak with Ryo.)

(Others speak)

Gean stared at Rydar with a serious expression.

"I take it you don't trust her either." Gean said as she stared at Ryo, her yellow eyes intent, as if she were reading him.

She sighed and then laughed.

"Hay at least its nice and warm out hear. Huh Kalin? Say Shek what's with the whistling?" Gean said with a smile. "Hay. . ." She said staring at Shek. "Um. . .I wanted . .. to say. . thankyou for helping me." She blushed and then laughed nervously.

"Some Dream chaser I'm turning out to be huh? But you know I'm gona stick with it. And we make a good team." She said. "Uh. . .so how about we stick together for a while. I mean we make a good team. . .and I think I can learn some stuff from you old guys." Gean said with a laugh.

Ryo watched as Delila walked off. He slowly raised a hand to his cheek where she just kissed him. "Hmmm...."

Ryo looked back at the group and raised a eyebrow, just catching the end of their conversation. "I don't see any reason not to trust her. She seems like a nice woman to me."

Ryo shrugged and then smiled slowly. "Well the town awaits and all that, as for teaming up......." Ryo glanced back at them. "I don't know. I'm used to working alone." He then turned back and continued walking towards the town.

~She wants to meet me alone eh.... I wonder what she wants to talk to me about...~

(Some Bad guy time)

The man in black looked up as Delila walked towards him a grin on her face.

"So, they'd get it?" He asked.

"Not sure," she said with a sigh. "But I'll find out."

"You better not play around to much Delila." He said standing. The wind blew around him as he stared down the mountain. "The boss will be hear soon, and you know how he can be."

"I'll handel him. Besides I think I found someone to help us. But I have to convince him first."

She yawned.

"Thats good. While your doing that. I'll do some questioning of my own." He said with a laugh. "That Brat."

"You mean that yellow eyed freak?" Delia said shortly. "What could she know?"

"She was there in the town, Crestwood. I saw her in that town the day I layed the tracker."

"That is just idiotic. HOw could she survive. . .unsless she had the."

"Yeah, so why your dealing with your new bo. The boss and I will have a chat with her."

Delaia smiled.

"Have fun," she said walking off.

Shek found that he didn't like Delila. He found that his new companions were not, well, the type of people he would choose to associate with.

He decided, after the "issues" they had in the ruins, that all this Dream Chaser-ing just wasn't for him. He was a simple farmboy, even if he did have an ARM and a long pointy pole.

Delila had to be up to something, the way she carried herself around with Ryo and Rydar either meant she was plotting something, or just a rich 'professional' woman, who had a taste for old technology. Shek didn't like either of those possibilities

"What, whistling? I just do it when I feel like I want to whistle." He said in response to Gean. Which was the total truth about that matter.

"Hey, I'm game for a little R&R." With that, Rydar ran after her laughing, passed her and continued laughing. "Come on you slowpokes, last one there pays for the rooms!"

He was in a good mood they had just finished making a lot of money, and they had kept that thing away from that woman, so far, things were going good. But he still didn't trust Delia, he was going to talk to Ryo about her that night, he had the feeling that Ryo was a little too trusting of her.

*Whoosh* and with that, Gean ran right by Rydar. 'Holy Crap she's fast' he thought. "All right!" He then kicked it into overgear, speeding down the hill through the trees barely avioding the fallen tree trunks and speeding down the mountain, just barely behind Gean with a big smile on his face "YEHAH!!" The wind whipping past his face, he could feel the wind blowing through his hair as he sprinted to finally catch up with Gean, neck and neck they ran towards the town.

"Um so you ready to realy kick it up." She said. "Cuz I'm kinda tired with this littel warm up!" She said and sped on. She Ran top seed down towards the town.

She skiddided to a halt right befor the town.

"What the hell am I doing?" Gean said angirly to herself. She shook her head and then turned to see Rydar pass by her.

"Hay you won." She said walking past him with her eyes closed. As she reached into her coat poket and took out a pair of dark Glasses.

Ryo walked up to the town a few seconds after the two came racing to the town's entrance. "Hmmp.... I don't see what the rush is..." Ryo shrugged as he walked into town past them.

Kalin placed his hands behind his head and walked sedately into town after Ryo.

He eyed the taller man warily.

Fine then. He wants a secret meeting with Delia, he can have it. But not without me knowing whats going on as well.

He would attempt to trail Ryo to his meeting. Shouldn't be too hard, at dusk.

Ryo headed to the inn slowly. He knew that this was going to get just more and more interesting.

Shek took his time in getting back to town, he had just come barrelling out of a huge ruin which had in fact, tried to cause him irrepairable damage to his person, so he felt no need to exhuast himself twice over in getting back to town.

However the antics of the racing finally broke his will, and in a childlike way he shouted, "Wait for me!" and broke into a long-strided run.

When he arrived, the group was already parting, Gean was in one place, and Ryo and Kalin were leaving to somewhere else.

"Where are they going?" He asked Gean quietly.

"haha" Rydar was still laughing when he hit the town " That was fun, we should do that again."he yelled out. Then, he turned to Gean and Shek. Kalin was walking the other way, following Ryo "Hey guys where are you going? I thought we were going to hang out at the tavern, come on, Gean said her treat."

He didn't want Kalin to leave just yet, he didn't mind where the hell Ryo went, but Kalin was a good guy "Hey Kalin, what do you want to drink buddy?"

Ryo still was walking away, ignoring him, "Fine, whatever Ryo. Have fun on your own, but if you still need us we'll be eating and celebrating our newfound money!" Rydar was in too good of a mood now to deal with Ryo and his melodrama.

Gean grabbed a table near the piano. Witch was not in the direct flow of traffic for the inn.

"Hay Tony, one round of your best." She said with a smile. "Steaks, and botsa cakes." She said as she flopped down in a chair.

"Well you guys look like your having a good time." Tony said.

"Its on me Tony." She said handing him her gella.

Tony laughed and pushed it back at her.

"Gean you know I won't take money from you. Now you forget about paying." Gean sighed.

"Thanks Tony." She said.

Tony turned to the others.

"Your friends can have a freebie tonight to. But thats just because they're with you. I owe you a lot after what you did for me a while back."

Gean blushed.

"Ahh, I was just in the way. So I decided to help."

"Yeah well I'll go get it ready."

Gean put her hands behind her head and again pushed her dark glasses up onto her nose.

"He he, Uh. I saved his hound dog a while back. He really liked it."

(The meeting.)

The sun was starting to head down, its red rays fading into yellow and purple. The cold chill of night was already starting to come to the small town.

She smiled as she leaned on the side of the Saloon.

"How long you been there boss?" She asked.

"A while," said a deep voice. He stepped from the Shadows. He was tall, his hair short and green. His eyes were deep brown and his face was marred with a large scar.

"So I suppose he told ya?" She said losing her charm.

"Yes," he said crossing his arms. "You know I am interested in meeting this . .person. If he dose know about technology. If he is a techmind. Then he could be useful. But where dose his convictions lie?"

"I don't know." She said. "But I think it is in our best interest to at least find out."

"Yes, perhaps. I need to go meet Black," he said walking past her. "He told me about that girl."

"The little freak?"

"Yes," he said shortly. "And how she survived the Raymetorite. If she has the source then we will need to get it back." He smiled to himself. "This time we live in, it is a wonderful one. You make your own law Delila. One that others must live by. Soon we will have all that we need. The ultimate information, the link to the very history of our planet. Even the creation of life."

Delila smiled.

"Yes, and everlasting beutey."

"Your vanity is foolish." He said shortly. "Filigria, our planet is dying. And only those who live in the waters are surviving. With this information, we can rebuild it all."

"Yes well. He should be hear soon. So. . ."

"Yes, I'll leave you to Your date." He said with a laugh and walked off down the back alley. (No one sees him. Or hears the conversation.)

"That was really nice of him, this place sure is good." Rydar sat down and started in on his drink, there would be several more to come. He looked around at his newfound friends and thought to himself 'well, it couldn't get any better than this'.

As he looked at Kalin, he noticed something seemed to be bothering him, which made Rydar wonder because he should be in a good mood, hell they just got paid a truckload of money. "Hey, Kalin, something on your mind? You seem edgy buddy."

Ryo realized what time it was and decided that sleep could wait. He turned around and ran a hand through his hair. He walked towards the Saloon. He arrived at it in little time, and he spotted Delila. He walked over to her smiling.

"There you are. Now what is it you wanted to speak to me about?"

Delila smiled.

"Yes. I wish to make you an offer." She said seriously. "And I think that you will like it." She said with a smile.

"I know that you have seen the Computer. An old relic, but none the less a powerful key that is capable of unlocking the secrets of this world." She smiled again.

"I know that you are a techmind. Someone who knows about computers. A rarity in this backward place. So My offer to you is to invite you on my mission. Come with me, and my comrads. ALl you need to do is join us, and every aspect of the old technology will be at your finger tips."

(Gean part)

Gean yawned after downing her food and stood up.

"Gee Kalin." She said with a smile. "You look all serious. And Sheck you've been kinda quite. I suppose you and I are the only ones in a good mood Rydar." She said stretching.

"I think I'm gonna take a quick walk. I'll see you guys latter."

She walked out of the saloon and down the street.

It had been a long time since she had been in the town, and seh still remembered her old haunts. She walked past them, thinking, about what had happened that day.

It had been fun, scary, and interesting. Gean sighed as she walked down an alleyway. She slowly removed her coat and stared at her arms.

"Who knows, maybe if I join up with a team. I'll find out about these." She ran her hand over the scars that adorned her arms. She put her coat back on and took off her glasses. Her eyes had stopped burning, since the sun was setting she saw no need to protect them again.

She turned down another alley.

"Nice to see you again."

Gean spun around to see the man in black standing behind her.
She turned to run, but bumped into another man.

"Going somewhere?" He asked as he grabbed her wrist.

"Let me go you. . ." He clamped his hand over her mouth and laughed.

"Hmm, you do have funny looking eyes." He said. "Now how about you give us the devise." Geans eyes narrowed as she bite down on his hand. The man screamed and threw her against the wall. Gean fell to the ground in pain.

"Little brat," he said raising his ARM to her.

"What devise are you talking about?" She said. The man frowned at her and then grabbed her by the coat collar. Lifting her up he glared at her.

"A devise that goes beyond your comprehension." He said.

Gean quickly slipped out of her coat and stood with her sword drawn.

The man stared at her arms and then frowned.

"I see," he said shortly. "You want to do it the hard way."

"Fine by us."

Ryo's eyes grew wide at this offer. He had seen computers and various technology in other ruins. But never had he seen some in such perfect condition. He couldn't pass up such a chance. He smiled and nodded.

"Sure! To learn the secret's of ancient technology! That is a dream come true! I will do it!" He smiled enthusiastically, not really caring if she has other motives. "So when do I meet these others?"

Delila smiled and pointed behind him.

"Hear they come." She said.

The man in black stepped forward followed by the green haired man. Who was dragging something behind him.

"This must be him." The green haired man said. "My name is Deacon. I am the leader of this little team. We are seekers of knowledge my friend. We seek it out no matter the cost. We do this for the greater good." He tossed what he was dragging forward.

Gean landed with a heavy thud at Ryo's feet. Her eyes closed. She was out cold.

"She didn't have the devise. Just an out of date ARM." He smiled evilly. "She may have survived our attack in Crestwood. But I am sure she won't survive the next one." He said with a smile. "I decided to give it a try again." Deacon said with a smile.

Black laughed.

"Yes, these fools will be surprised at the falling stars."

Gean groaned in pain as Deacon laughed.

Ryo stared at Gean, he had just met the girl. But still.... She didn't deserve that....

He just claimed to be doing this for the greater good... Yet Gean.....

~I can't just abandon her completely....... She is my friend.... But I want to seek out this knowledge with the rest of them....

Ryo continued to look at Gean's unconscious body, looking like he was deep in thought.

"Well," Delila said as she hooked her arm around Ryo's. "Lets get going." She said as she stared at Deacon.

"But not to far," Deacon said. "If she survives this time, then it might be in our best interest to find out why. So we can either use it or put a stop to it."

"You," he said looking at Ryo. "Don't tell me your having second thoughts. She's just a fool, like all the others. We are offering you great things."

Rydar had followed Gean, he wanted to talk to her. Things with Shek and Kalin were getting annoying, they were too serious all the time. Gean was fun. He was walking towards her when he saw the man grab her and beat her up, dragging her down the alley "What the...." He quietly followed them down, and hiding in the alley, heard the entire story. "Ryo, you traitor." he said to himself quietly, so they were going to attack this town too. These were the people that had killed all those people, and his family. He was boiling with an almost uncontrollable rage. He could see them smiling and talking calmly about murdering everyone in the town. He could stand no more, but he could do nothing, and he knew it. But the memory of the man with the scar would NEVER leave his memory. If he lived to see 100 he would make sure to hunt this man down and kill him. For now, it was time to save the people. He could do nothing for Gean. He ran for the tavern, he bursted in "Shek! Kalin! They've kidnapped Gean. Delia and Ryo have kidnapped Gean, Delia helped destroy Twindel! We have to evacuate this town. What happened to Twindel is going to happen here!" With that, people began screaming and poured out of the tavern around him.

(sok. As long as its in character. But since Rydar only herd the second part. NOt the one where Ryo and Delia were talking. And he ran off befor Ryo had a chance to respond. So hes going on what he sees. Witch is good. I think any char in rydars situation would do the same thing. )

Tony grabbed Rydar.

"You gota help that girl." He said shaking Rydar. "She's a good kid. A rare one. I'll get the town evacuated." Tony said and quickly snapped on a shinny sheriffs badge.

(geans part)

Geans eyes opened part way. Her hole body ached. She looked up.

"R. ..r . .Ryo?" She said. "Run. . do. .nt let them hurt you to." She said trying to push herself up. Her eyes closed she lifted her head.

"Blasted brats tuffer than I thought." Deacon said and kicked her. Gean fell back gasping for air. She opened her eyes slowly.

"What the?" Delia said as her grip on Ryo tightened. "Her eyes!" She said with a disgusted voice.

Gean closed them quick as Deacon grabbed her hair and lifted her up.

"Open them!" He snapped.

Gean opened them slightly to look at Ryo. Why wouldn't he help her.

"They're glowing?" Deacon said in a confused voice. He tossed her back to the ground and laughed.

"Thats some trick kid." He said. He looked at Ryo. "Your first mission is to take her to the bell tower and leave her there. Black will go with you, to make sure you do what I have said."

Gean pushed herself up and stared at Ryo. Her yellow eyes glowing softly.

Shek was already out the door by the time Tony had begun shaking Rydar. And he was out on the streets looking for signs of commotion, his hand was over his polearm (which was currently strapped to his back.) And in his hot hands was a freshly loaded ARM.

"Gean!" He shouted, "Ryo! Where are you?"

Geans head lifted quickly.

"Damn," Deacon said as Gean opened her mouth to shout. He quickly grabed her around the neck and laughed. "You be quiet, or I'll kill who ever that is."

Geans eyes narrowed as Deacon spoke.

"And if you bite me again," He said angrily. "I'll make sure you never walk again."

Geans galre tighened as her eyes began to glow even brighter.

Ryo grimaced at gean, but the offer they were makign was to great to pass up. He unslung his ARM from his shoudler.

"Sorry Gean, It's nothing personal."

Ryo raised the back up his ARM upand striked the back of her head to knock her out.
