She nodded.

"Sounds good..."

She wondered, idly, how long it would take. Maybe she'd have enough time to take a nap or something. Travelling was so tiresome, and what was the point of doing anything before it started?

As Jason slashed the chair out from under Genji, the cat easily made it to his feet, one of his large paws coming down on top of the blade and halting it's progress.

From where Keldorn and Elena stood, they could easily see the four other members of their party, now waiting by the exit. If what Aniximander had told them was true, it would probably be best to get moving soon.

Angel butt in between the two and pushed jason aside, then stared down, or rather up, the Nephlim.

"Look, no fighting." Angel said as he looked both of them over. "and you," Angel said looking back at the nephlim, "settle down alittle, ok?" Angel looked back to Jason, "And you too."

Backing odwn he found his spot on the wall again.

"I suggest we get everyone together and leave now, while we have time." Angel said crosing his arms over his chest, quickly feeling if the amulet was still there, and it was.

"We're here," said Keldorn, notifying the four of their arrival. "And we've got about five days worth of food, should we get delayed anywhere. Let's try to keep the fighting amongst each other to a minimum, alright?"

Keldorn, being somewhat larger than the other human members of the party, didn't have to look up quite so much to study the Nephilim.

"Now that we're all together in one place, should we get going? The sooner, the better, as it could cost us two thousand crests if we wait too long..."

Genji snickered in Angel's direction. "Ya know, boy, Genji would have no problem eating yer face."

His right hand fell upon Angel's shoulder and stayed there. The Nephillim's eyes burned with a violent ember that signaled his bloody urge to fight. His hand flew back to his side. After a moment of quiet reflection, he spun on his heels and strode across the room, nearer to Elena than anybody else.

"If't hadn't been for dis fool over here," he noted, pointing at Jason, "Genji would 'ave nothing ta do with dis. Dat fellow thinks dat because he has his big sword he can jus' go about makin' orders. Genji won't stand for dat. Twas only trying to find a place to sit, dat's all Genji wanted."

He glared at Elena. "If yer looking for a trouble-maker, dat's your man over der."

Personality scrapes aside, the group lost no time in getting moving, now that Genji had arrived. Once everyone had gathered their gear back together, they departed the Fort and headed onto the surface. Finding the mountain pass was not difficult, as it started not more than a thousand feet outside of the massive stone tunnel that led out of Fort Emergence. While rocky, and difficult to travel for the less physically inclined members of the party, it proved not to be to difficult going.

The party pressed on, and anyone who bothered to consult the map would see that a good portion of the day in front of them would be spent travelling over the mountains. The sounds of creatures moving in the rocks over head could be heard, but nothing more dangerous than the distant grey form of a lone unicorn could be seen. The sun shone down brightly on them, the time being about an hour before noon. Those that had never been to the surface found the sun disturbing, and spent an inordinately large amount of time looking at the ground. But otherwise, the trip so far was uneventful.

((AND THUS OUR BRAVE HEROS SET OUT! You are now free to CI for a bit. I'll give you a warning before the next plot element comes, by way of letting you know you've gotten out of the mountains.))

"damn sun." Angel said pulling a cloth down from his hood to block the unfavorable rays of heat. "who the hell would have invented such a thing."

Angel looked around to the other members as they continued to walk down the winding path through the forrest, Genji seemed ready to continue, but the rest were obviously winded.

Angel pulled out the jewel in his cloak and hung it from his hand, he stared at the twirling object as it hung suspended by a gold chain. He couldn't take his eyes off the well crafted peice of jewelry.

some movement in the woods ahead of him caught his eye and he quickly put the amulet back, not knowing exactly what moved, he still put his hand on his sword for caution.

Angel heard quick pounding footsteps from the woods, he drew his sword and kept his eyes focused on the woods, the others stared at him in confusion.

A small jack rabbit came out from under the tree and Angel gave a humiliating grunt as he put his sword back, a few chuckled lightly at such entertainment.

"I'm getting jumpy." Angel said as he looked at the rabbit finishing it's way across the path and into the woods again.

Angel continued to walk with the party, pulling out the necklace again, and looked at it as he walked...

Keldorn, having never been above ground before, found the light of the sun to be nearly unbearable. If he hadn't spent most of his life working over a hot forge, the heat would have been a problem too. As it was, it was just the light that caused him the most trouble. He stayed near the back , keeping his eyes on the ground and offering help to anyone who had trouble crossing through the mountains.

"We should stop after we get outta this forrest, being surronded by trees and being off your guard is a bad thing, we should find i field with tall grass." Angel said towards Keldorn's comment about food.

Angel finally looked up from the ground to see what was ahead, but it was nothing but endless trees.

"maybe we should stop." Angel said looking back at the ground. If we get ambushed, it's best we're well rested..."

"Feh. Thieves are the least of your problems. Not while you've got a skilled wizardess like me in your group" Elena said smugly, and put one elbow on the other arm's palm, and extended the finger of the arm being rested, which burned with a small flame.

"They'll regret even thinking about it." she said, grinning sadistically.

Angel watched intentlly on Genji as he has yet not put his two gil in wheather we should rest or not.

Genji stopped dead in his tracks and smirked devilishly. "Mmm... now dat Genji gets to thinking, mebbe it'ould be ah good idea to take a rest... afta all."

The towering barbarian planted himself against a tree and gazed in question at the others. "Ah small, silent place, away from prying eyes... if you ken find a clearing to build ah fire o' such. But if none o' you want to rest, den by all means, we'd best be movin'."

And that settled Genji's side of the argument.

Angel searched for an open area near where Genji sat against the tree.

"hmm..." Angel pondered, "This looks good," Angel said looking down at an area already cleared of brush, probably a resting place for a stag.

Angel quickly assembled some kindling and in no time at all, started a well mantained fire.

"where's that food?" angel said pulling out a small bronze square plate to cook some food on, if needed.

As Angel gathered up the wood for a fire, Keldorn unloaded a bit of food from his pack. After putting some over the fire to heat it up, he sat down and leaned against a rock to eat.

Angel smilied at the peice of unidentifable food on the plate in front of him, it smelled so good. He felt a shiver of panic over him as he remembered the jewel, he grabbed for where it should be in the robe, and sure enough it was there.

Angel calmed down and pulled the food off the iron plate and began to chew into it...

Meanwhile, Elena was just sitting on the base of a tree (After careful checking so nothing disgusting would be sat on), with a book in her hands. Whatever they decided, she'd be fine, but by that time, it would not hurt that she rests her legs a bit, since they were hurting from the travelling. She looked up from the book, as she thought of something...

"You know, I don't know all of your names. If we're going to be in this together, then better we know each other's names at least. I'm not inventing nicknames mid-battle." she said, looking down at the book, and not even looking back up as she waited for the reply.

Genji cracked his knuckles. "Genji es my name."

The Nephillim looked back down at his two spears. He had decided midway through their march that his spears had not been sharpened in a long time. He ached to play with something sharp, and so he was sliding this dagger back and forth along the spear's tip, delighting in his childish amusement. He cared nothing for what the others were doing. They were little more than tiny dots to him.

Her stomach grumbled, contradicting her.

"Can someone pass me something to eat as well? I'm kinda hungry myself." she said, closing the book with a poof and a puff of dust and looking at the one nearest the food.
