Duile gave Bunny a confused look as he walked up to her, placing his hand on hers, stopping her in mid-play "What's going on here Bunny? You don't trust me anymore? We've gotten this far and now you don't trust me all of a sudden? Are you ok Bunny?" he asked, as he looked right into her eyes.

-Elsewhere, within the darkness of Belvoken-

Labored breathing escaped Duile's lips as the vines constricted more around him. Tileesha giggled like a young child, watching her "toy" try to hold himself back from screaming. Tileesha fed off of this pain, it seeped into her through the vines, it was absolutely intoxicating, as soon her giggling turned to pleasured moaning as she contorted and shook there, pure ecstasy flooding her senses, all snuggled up close to her toy.

The more Duile resisted, the more Tileesha enjoyed it.

Bunny stared back at him considering, but her animalisstick (I think this is the wrong spelling sorry) side was stirring, warning her about something.

"I. . .no. . ." she said seekingly. "I. . .I don't I just don't," she lowered her head. "I did before, but now I don't its a feeling inside I just. . .can't understand. But . .your different."

Bunny felt something grabbing at her heart, like something was smothering her inside. .perhaps she was wrong and it was the fact that she had been in the daemon town for so long.

Lisha knew that she was going to have to decide whether or not she was going to trust this person that looked like Duile pretty soon. The more she thought about it, though, the less she wanted to make the decision.

If this half-elf was really some kind of doppelganger, then he could lead the group straight into a trap. However, if he really was Duile, then distrusting him would only needlessly damage the group's already bad chances of survival.

Duile held up his arms in frustration. "Different? How in the hells can I be different? Are you sure you're not smelling all the crap that's gotten on me? Like all that zombie blood, giant mouth thing mucus and not to mention demon entrails from those... shapeshifters. Ya sure you're not just smelling that stuff?" asked the man who looked like Duile, sounded like Duile, and in some aspects... had traces of Duile's scent.

This stranger looked over at Astrynax, wondering why the mage hasn't spoken up during all of this.

Bunny backed up.

"Maybe. . .but. . .I don't know." She put her hands on her head and closed her eyes. "This place has been making me feel so strange," she rubbed her eyes. "Maybe I am still tired from when I called him." She said rubbing her forehead.

"Do I... smell... different?" Kilisha asked Bunny. "I mean... different in the... same way... as Duile?"

Kilisha had, after all, been covered in zombie blood, mucus, and demon entrails just as Coppermirth had. If that was the reason why the half-elf seemed different, then the succubus should seem different too.

Bunny leaned towards Kilisha and sniffed her. Threw the muggy smell of mucas and blood, the sent was true. Bunny's eyes widened, her large green eyes stared at Kilisha's.

"Ki li li you smell the same, even with all of that on you." Bunny turned towards Duile. "Then why. . .why do you seem difrent?"

Astrynax sniffed, his head clearing a bit, and he decided to throw his scanning powers on the 'half-elf'.

In the meantime, to keep his attention busy, he entered into the senseless prattle. "Such an argument... let's take a small break and get our bearings, hmmm...?"

As the shapeshifter continued in his attempts to persuade the others that he is infact the real deal, another presence was there... watching the "plan" unravel. The attempts to lead the group into a trap... was seemingly going to end in failure. The idea to give the 'shifter Coppermirth's shirt, could have only worked for so long... the presence realized that it had underestimated the Usagijin's nose. A failure it hoped to rectify.

This isn't working out quite so well Drakhurn... came a mental message of distress from the shapeshifting imposter.

No... I... I think I like where this change of plans is heading... you're no longer of use to me... Gabaggi... to us. Mayhaps you will be better at espionage in the next life. I'd say it was nice knowing you Gabaggi... but... it really wasn't. Try to die with some dignity though. replied the Presence as it turned away from the scene.

WHAT?!?! Drakhurn!!! Wait!!! NO!!! came a paniced cry, as the Duile Imposter turned around towards the darkness. A look of fear on it's face.

Farewell. was the only answer that came from within the shadowy fog.

It had failed in it's attempts to lure the intruders into an ambush... but in hindsight... this new plan works out much better.

All for the sake of the Ceremony. Nothing else matters.

Bunny felt a chill run down her back as she turned back to Dulie. She was sure of it, this was not her friend and a new sent was starting to rise.

She lifted the flute to her mouth and began to play her strange song again, only this time she steped infront of Duile and played to him.

As soon as Bunny began playing her song, Kilisha felt a definite threat rising from the Duile imposter. As a precaution, she drew her bow and readied an arrow.

Twists and Turns...

Unread postby Ash Fanrico » Wed Aug 11, 2004 7:31 pm

Gabbagi/Duile turned to the others, with a look of pure anger on his face. "That... BASTARD!!" it hissed, in a voice that definately wasn't the Half-Elf's, taking no notice of Bunny's playing.

Gabbagi knew what this meant... he had been left behind by those who he thought could be trusted. Betrayed. Gabbagi turned to the others, shedding his Duile Form as he did. The only remaining thing from the disguise was Duile's shirt.

Before them stood a dark red demonic humanoid creature with dark green pupiless eyes. Looking almost like a twisted mockery of a human being. Horns jutted out in various spots along his body, some even tearing through the Half-Elf's article of clothing. A row of these horns lined it's spinal column. It wore no pants, for it did not need them... as no distinctive sign of any type of gender could be seen. It didn't seem to be in any sort of threatening pose.

"Yes... you were right. I was planted here, planted here to lure you three into a trap. But it would seem like my SUPERIORS have other plans now... and I'm now considered expendable." said the creature that now stood before them.

"Problem is... I don't take kindly to being deemed useless fodder." said Gabbagi as he looked right at Bunny, who was still playing.

"I don't expect you all to forgive me for this... hell I'm pretty sure some of you would rather kill me instead... but I now I have no choice in the events surrounding us... and apparently no way to go back to my former commrades..." Gabbagi said as he let out a long sigh... as the next line of dialogue was hard to say "so... can I... help you... join you actually... in finding... your friend?" he asked, not sure of how the other three will take... half of expecting them to kill his now worthless ass as a response.

Gabbagi closed his eyes, not wanting to see who would attack first...

Bunny lowered her flute.

"You were forsaken. . .by. . your master?" She said tilting her head.

"Can you lead us to our friend?" she asked hopefully. She grinned broadly and smiled.

As the Duile imposter was changing to its demonic form, Kilisha had pointed her bow at it, expecting it to attack. She hadn't fired, though. After hearing it speak, she lowered her weapon, deciding that the creature didn't seem to be making a threat of itself.

"First of all... I would... appreciate it... if you would... stop wearing Duile's shirt," she said in reply.

He had thought as much. Seeing it in the flesh caused Asty to recoil in disgust slightly. He never did like demons or anything bearing demonic appearance... he could barely believe the rabbit girl actually wanted this thing to help them!

He refused to say anything, stepping away and folding his arms tightly against his body.

"Oh! This?" asked Gabbagi, pointing the only article of clothing he was wearing.

The Shapeshifter chuckled a bit as he looked at it, "Yeah sorry about that. I had almost forgotten about this thing. You see... this was taken from the half-elf and given to me... so I could possibly pass the rabbit-thing's nose. Guess that turned out to be quite a dumb idea huh?" asked Gabbagi as he took off the shirt carefully and handing it to Kilisha.

Are you expecting something?

Unread postby Endesu » Thu Sep 09, 2004 1:13 pm

Astrynax finally decided to speak, if only because he was so annoyed by the predicament. "Well, this is just fine and dandy. You two are putting your trust into something that had it in for us, actual motivation present or no."

"And as for you," the Mage pointed to what he had clearly panned as a monstrosity, "I don't care what reasons you have for 'joining us'. For all we know, this is just yet another elaborate trap planned by whatever idiot is heading this circus of villainous rejects."

"I... never said... that I trusted... him," said Kilisha. "But I do... think we... should let him... come with us."

She paused for long enough to close her pack and put it on her back again.

"Of course... we shouldn't... let him lead us... anywhere," she continued. "But we... should give him a chance... and let him... follow us."

Bunny smiled.

(I'm so lucky to have three of the most faithful RPers I've ever met. I know I'm probably not worth the time and effort, but I really do appreciate the patience you all have had with me. I really do. Time to get this story moving forward now dammit.)

Gabbagi spoke up, "I'm all for this course of action obviously. But, first thing's first... don't kid yourselves here... I wouldn't have revealed myself as I truelly am... if I weren't in such a pickle. They, those running this little show, figured I'd most likely be killed by you all at first glance. Guess they figured wrong again. But... I won't KID myself into expecting you all to trust me either. Specially after what I did. But I'd much rather die helping you all... then going onto the next life without getting my revenge on that bastard Drakhurn." said Gabbagi, who took that moment to assituate himself between Bunny and Kilisha.

"Let's get this show on the road people." he said, turning to the Usagijin.

"So I take it you're wanting us to first go find your Half-Elf friend?" asked the shapeshifting creature.

-Speaking of Half-Elves....

The vines tightened once more, sending several shocks of pain through the Half-Elve's body. It's not been a very comfortable situation... since it seems every time Duile took a breath, the vines took that moment to constrict harder around him. Driving their hated thorns further into his body. Which in the end only served to heighten Tileesha's arousal.

"Resist more darling... please." the demonic seductress whimpered, feeding off the pain and agony that she caused the Half-Blood.

Just a little more...

"So... So.... *groan* tell me... *erk*... what all this has to do... *hmmph*... with a coupla little brats?" asked Duile, still trying to block out the pain... and losing.

"Oh... does my little plaything want some... oohh... conversation? Will it weally ease the pwecious pain my pet?" asked Tileesha, still riding high off the intoxicating feeling.

"It's just that... *gerk*... I'm trying to... fig... ure... OUT... why... all this is... happening. Belvoken's an infamous place of story and legend. Why *grah* would those kids really want to come here? They can't... be... THAT... stupid. Can they?" asked the besieged Duile, as he hung there.

"Oh... that's just what we wanted you all believe." answered Tileesha, still hugging onto Duile amidst all of this.

"Hmm... really?" asked Duile, clearly interest... despite all that pain.

-Elsewhere...

Drakhurn made his way down the long-since abandoned roads. Headed for the very center of it all.

Yes Gabbagi... believe what you will. But you're only aiding my plans. Poor simple fool. Now nothing shall interupt... the Ceremony.

He looked at the decayed and mossy ruins of a once prosperous town. How much he hated to be here... oh how very much. Soon... it shouldn't matter... soon.

Though that still doesn't rule out that Mage. We still may yet have to deal with him. Oh yes...

(There... thanks guys for sticking around with probably the most lazy GM on the entire board.)

Bunny nodded.

"I am very worried about him," she said. "I wonder . . do you think we can find him," she said looking at the mage.

"I can sniff out an impostor, but we had to be close. I don't think I can find him with my nose. I am going to try and let him know we are looking for him.

"You all might want to cover your ears. . .this is going to be very loud. But at least he will know we are alive, and that might. . make him feel better. Don't you think so?"

Astrynax snorted a bit. "If you'd rather put your lives in the hands of something that admitted it would have taken the chance to kill us, go right ahead.

And as for you, I'll be walking directly behind you. Any suspicious moves will result in immediate pain. So keep your step in balance with those two."

Damned idiot half-elf. Getting himself lost in a city like this. For all I know, he's in league with these idiots, too. I'll destroy this entire town if that's what it takes to rid myself of these annoyances.

He sighed as he moved to apply a bit of pressure to both of his ears, the clogged air blocking off any potential noise that may come. This allowed him to keep his hands free and ready for any possible traitorous actions!

Bunny took a deep breath, put her flute to her lips and then quickly covered her long ears. She blew as hard as she could causing a high pitched ungodly sound to come from the flute.

The shrill sound rose up around her as her horn glowed softly.

Gotta get this fuckin' show on the road here... e_e

Unread postby Ash Fanrico » Sun Oct 03, 2004 11:41 pm

"What now?" asked Gabbagi as he turned towards the Usagijin.

The noise reverberated throughout the entire town, where once there was silence, only the loud shrill of the flute could be heard. It filled the skies with it's piercing noise. Even penetrating some of the more darker parts of the town.

Such as...

Tileesha's concentration was broken, as the new strange sound could be heard even in the darkness. She hissed while holding injured ears, turned towards the direction it was coming from... it's source. The sound was unbearable, but Duile (still chained up) had to take it. The Half-elf gritted his teeth from the pain registering on his elven ears, but he welcomed the demoness' distraction.

As the sound died down, Tileesha shook her head, the ringing was still quite present within her mind. "What the devils was that?" she asked, while turning back aound, and was met by a chain being swiftly brought around her neck.

Duile Coppermirth... was free.

Time seemed to pause around the two, as their eyes never left the others. The half-elf's ears had small trickles of blood flowing down towards his neck. The thorn covered vines were still constricted around most of Coppermirth's body. But despite the pain... his hold on the chain... was quite strong.

"How?" asked Tileesha, staring up at her new captor, the roles being obviously reversed.

"Drakhurn didn't search me completely. I always carry plenty of lock-picking items on my person. Now it's my turn to ask the questions. You're going to tell me the truth now, she-bitch... you're gonna tell me the truth about those kids!" ordered Duile, tightening his grip.

Back with the group....

"Holy Shit!!!!! You could've waited for me to hold my frikkin' ears!!!" growled Gabbagi, having been at "ground zero" of Bunny's flute playing. The ringing he experienced was deafening. It would pass... hopefully... as the shapeshifting demon shook his head furiously, trying to get said buzzing out of his head.

"I think that no matter where he is Dulie is probably doing the same thing."

Gabbagi only grumbled silent curses in reply as he turned his back on the Usagijin. The still present buzzing sound in his ears was becoming quite annoying. Luckily, shapeshifters had remedies for such problems.

Without word or warning, Gabbagi began to quietly metamorphose.

His height and mass began to sink... accordion into itself. When a shapechanger shifts its appearance... it is breaking down its genetic makeup and reforming it. Thus... gradually healing Gabbagi's damaged lobes.

When the amazing sight was over, where once there was a demonic creature, now stood... a short (even shorter than Bunny) elven-eared humanoid.

"Eh... short notice shape change. Something simple." he said, now looking up at the Usagijin, while stretching his back. His ears were now fine... the buzzing noise having been removed during the Shift.

"Alright... now that we're done alerting everything to our presence... *slight grin towards Bunny* shall we finally begin the search for your lost friend now... or would you like us to, strike up a big brass orchestra while we were at it?" asked the short elven-ish creature, in an obvious sarcastic manner.

Bunny's head tilted as she walked towards Gabbagi. SHe walked around him slowly and then grabed both of his ears. She tweeked them as she giggeled.

"Aww thats cute," she said moving his ears up and down. "Change into a fox, come on. . .do it." SHe said still pinching his ears. "Oh oh no change into a horse, Ansty might be tired." She looked at the mage. "YOu were hurt so badly before, if you rode on a horse you could save your energy for any battels ahead."

She huged Gabbagi. "Aww such a cute monster." She said hapily.

Once the noise had ceased, Astrynax withdrew the presse and simply watched the little monster do its bit. "How cute. I can imagine that this will only inconvenience us later on... it is bad enough that we're taking you along... worse yet that you react this way to a simple noise."

He adjusted himself slightly as he glared at the rabbitgirl. "I don't need any help from that thing."

IM:Just HAD to choose a more cute form didn't you?

Turning to the mage, from within Bunny's grasp, Gabbagi hissed "Yeah well I wouldn't want that psycho any closer to me than he already is thank you." added the shapeshifting demon.

"First you almost tear my ear drums to shreds, now you're trying to suffocate me." grumbled Gabbagi to Bunny.

-Back with Duile BTW...-

Duile stood there, with his former captor now in his grasp. The half-elf didn't know what the demonic suductress would do next. He probably should've ran out of this room, instead of try and take down this... "woman", what with all the pain he's been enduring.

"ANSWER ME!!! What is the truth behind all of this? Why did the kids come here? If not by choice then who took 'em here? Answer me she-bitch." ordered Duile, trying to sound stern and tough, despite the still lingering pain.

"Fine then... if you think... you've... figured it out... shit-blood. One word... Jonesy." she replied through baited gasps, yet still managing to grin.

Duile's eyes widened. Jonesy... that name sounded familiar. Coppermirth thought back to recent memory. He remembered getting up, because of that accursed positioning of that bed in that cheap-ass inn. Then finding out about the job being offered by DeMalo. Meeting the other three (well four if you included Devlin, that loud-mouth braggert warrior-type. But thankfully DeMalo had realized that the axe-wielder would have been a serious liability to the party and withdrew his name from the list), and DeMalo and his crew mates... what were their names again?

There was Barker... Tibbs... and...

The name came to him. The children's guardian. Jonesy had supposedly been lead here by the kids. Very quickly some of the puzzle pieces began to come together.

Jonesy obviously lied. Those two kids didn't want to come here, who would? Jonesy must've done something... something to get them to come along. Most likely he probably dragged them here in burlap sack or something...

"So their guardian was lying huh?" asked Duile.

"I don't see why it wasn't so obvious from the beginning. Such a lame falsehood to begin with. To be quite honest... Drakky and I were very surprised that it's gotten this far and nobody realized it was Jonesy all along!!!" hissed Tileesha, as Duile's grip was slightly loosening as the half-elf was becoming more and more lost in thought.

Before she could capitalize on this, Duile's hands once again tightened, bringing preasure back to her throat.

"But then what does Jonesy have to gain from all of this?" asked Duile.

"Piss off!" replied Tileesha as she spit in Duile's face. "I've told you enough."

Duile hardly flinched, and kept his eyes on Tileesha, despite the wad of saliva going down his cheek.

"What's the matter hell whore? I thought you enjoyed this kind of thing." growled Duile as he began to lift Tileesha, by the throat, with the chain. "I thought you got off on pain... guess it's not pleasureful when it's your own... you sick little BITCH!!"

Another pressence arrived then, it could be felt by even Coppermirth. Those red eyes appeared out the corner of the room. "I think that's enough, half-blood." It was Drakhurn, he had returned.

Duile couldn't react fast enough as he was thrown from Tileesha across the opposite end of the room, crashing hard upon a solid wall within the darkness. Drakhurn approached his seductive companion, taking no notice of the half-elf groaning to his feet.

"The plan failed... Gabbagi's not as good at subterfuge as originally hoped. No matter... if he's managed to stay alive... he'll probably try and help the Half-blood's compatriots find their lost partner." said the red eyes of Drakhurn as he helped Tileesha up.

The vine-wrapped harpy got to her feet, rubbing her neck from where Coppermirth had previously had chains wrapped around. "So then what's Plan B Drakky? We gonna kill him finally?" asked Tileesha, as she rested her head on what could be guessed as Drakhurn's shoulder.

"No... I have different plans for our pointy-eared friend." replied the darkness that was Drakhurn, as the two turned their eyes upon Duile as he slowly got to his feet.

(I don't know... I just... feel like I'm letting you three down these days. With work and college becoming more important these past few weeks... I've hardly been a responsible GM. But... I'm still determined to finish this. It's my first long-running RP in YEARS now and I don't want it to die on such a sour note. But... I just feel like I haven't had the time these days. So all i'm asking for... is... just... give me a few more days, I'll fine tune the rest of the story, and hopefully have something to show for sometime this upcoming Friday or Saturday... hopefully before then though. Cause I figure it's high-time I finally did something about this, and get it all done. So... give me a few more days to tweak the rest of the story and I'll hopefully have something ready by next Friday. OK? I'm probably asking for patience that's getting close to an end, but I want to give it at least one more try before throwing in the towel and calling it quits. Alright? That's all I'm asking for.)

Bunny stoped and looked up towards the darkened sky she.

"Frind Dulie," she said sadly. She looked at the shape shifter. "Do you not know where our frind is?" She asked with a sad smile.

(OOC: I would think that an RP should have a lower priority than college or work, so I'm not going to leave because of the slowness.)

The sudden change in Bunny's mood brought Kilisha down a little too.

"I'm sure... we'll find him," she sighed. "We... have to."

We might not find him alive, though, she thought to herself for a moment. She then frowned at the thought. No... he has to be alive.

But, despite what she told herself, the fear that they would find him... dead... wouldn't go away.
