Bunny's eyes opened partly, but she felt so tired. She forced herself to sit up. The world was blurry around her, and she knew what had happened.

She heard Dullie talking, but couldn't understand him. Like always, the summoning had drained her, had taken from her very life for a few minuets.

(OOC: People REALLY should pay their internet bills on time.)

"I'm not... unconscious," said Kilisha.

She walked over to Astrynax and picked him up. He had finished off the demon that had been impersonating her brother, so she felt like she owed him.

Duile looked a bit astonished at Kilisha's display of strength. But then again, it didn't surprise him too much... she was a succubus after all.

"Ummm... uhhh... alright. You can carry him, I was perfectly capable of doing that... but hey... if you feel up to it then I guess I won't argue with it."he said, gesturing towards her and the fallen mage. The half-elf felt kinda stupid that she's having to do the work he should've done.

After having said that, Coppermirth walked over to the fallen usagijin. Duile could tell she was weakened by the whole summoning ordeal... so he figured she wouldn't be in the mood to refuse him carrying her for a while. Tying the spear-scythe to his pouch, and putting the strap to it over his shoulder, the half-elf kneeled down to pick up the young Bunny.

She wasn't that heavy at all, and Coppermirth soon was back up on his feet, holding the weakened usagijin in his arms.

"Think we should maybe find some place to rest and let these two recover?" he asked to the succubus.

Bunnies head fell onto Dullies shoulder and felt her eyes growing heavy.

"I'm sorry," she said softly. "I. . .I wanted to wait." She said falling asleep again.

Duile nodded, holding Bunny closer to himself as he started walking further into the fog. "Let's at least get out of this area... I can't stand the stench." commented the Half-Elf as he passed the succubus, holding his lighter load.

She was dreaming, she always did after she had called a aeon to come and help.

This time she was alone in the dark city. Surrounded by voices, each shouting at her, calling her the names her kind had called her.

Bunny shivered in her sleep.

Duile pondered on that question for a few minutes before replying, "Well... I don't know about your family, but my father doesn't turn into a demon. I'm pretty sure those were just attempts to trick us. Into what, I have no clue as of right now. So yeah... those were just demonic imposters." said the half-elf as he trudged onward.

(again, sorry for the delay... stuff to do outside the net)

After a couple of minutes of walking:
The fog cleared before them onto a spot that was of decent distance away from their previous battle. Duile surveyed the area, both with his eyes and his ears.

"This looks like a great place to stop for awhile. I can't smell the dead demons anymore, so that's an improvement." said the Half-Elf as he, while holding onto Bunny with one arm, let his pack and spear-scythe slide onto the ground at his feet.

Gently laying the weakened usagijin onto the ground, and propping her head up onto the comfort of his pack.

Turning to the succubus, Duile asked, "Need any help with the mage by any chance?" offering his assistance.

Bunny groaned as she opened her eyes. Her head was aching a bit. She rolled over onto her back and sat up. Her horn began to glow again.

She rubed her eyes and looked at the other two.

"What happened?" She asked softly.

Duile rushed over to the succubus' side, and helped her with her heavy load. "Not much Bunny." said Duile as he proceeded to lift the unconscious mage onto his shoulders.

IM:Shit! This guy ways more than he looks.

As soon as he got closer to the usagijin, Duile set the unconscious Astrynax onto the ground... as gently as he could manage. With Bunny awake, Duile took the makeshit pillow he had made for her (his pack), and used it instead for the magic user.

Taking a deep breath, the half-elf sat himself down onto the ground. "Any ideas why the magic user is out cold?" asked Duile.

"Poison... great... well let's just hope I have the right potions to counteract it." he said, taking off his jacket.

The half-elf carefully lifted up the mage's head, and removed the pack from under his unconscious teammate. With the pack out of the way, Coppermirth substituted his jacket for a makeshift pillow.

That done, Duile immediately went rummaging through his pack. There was the usual stuff, the sharpening flint, his father's knife, bandages, the bottle of cleaning water, and finally some herbal remedies and potions.

"Bunny... hold open his mouth." Duile ordered as he uncorked the bottle of poison counter-active.

"Now I don't know if this will work... but it may just do the trick if it does." said Duile as he shifted back towards the unconscious mage.

She giggled a bit.

"Don't go Antsy, I havn't't teased you enough yet."

"Thank you my dear." said Duile as he sprinkled some herbs into the elixir. Placing his thumb over the opening, the half-elf shook the concoction a little before letting it pour into the open mouth of Astrynax. Not too much of course, just enough to let it run it's course. Massaging Astrynax's throat forced the liquid down into his system.

"One for his health... and...," then proceeded to pour some on the dagger wound.

"one for his troubles." said Coppermirth as he put the cork back on and placed the potion back into his pack.

"Now... we just sit here and wait. Let it do it's thing, if it works AT ALL, and hope he's not too pissed when he wakes up." said the half-elf as he got up from where he was sitting.

IM:Very few people are happy when they wake up from that potion... tastes like shit, but it works... usually.

"But that doesn't help us any... we're gonna have to keep our eyes open in case any more wonderful townsfolk come." he said in his usual emotionless attitude, as he grabbed his spear-scythe.

"Hes not so bad." She said standing and looking up at the sky. She sighed heavily.

"I was hoping to save my Friend untill we really needed him." She said looking down. "But. . .I got mad."

She put her hands behind her back and made a circle in the dirt with her foot. "I bet you want me to go now, everyone always dose after that happens."

She said sadly.

"Now don't get all bent out of shape now Bunny, and don't put yourself down like that. I've been with types who've done worse things than summon a big creature in the middle of a fight. Hells... that's not even really a bad thing when you think of it. That thing turned out to be a good choice, as his attack gave the rest of us a needed opening to dispatch our enemies with. Besides, *walks over to her, and rubs the top of her head with his hand* you're a part of this team and it'd get pretty boring without ya. No offense to present company, but they ain't exactly rays of sunshine if ya know what I mean. So don't sweat it Bunny... ok?"said Duile, in a rather uncharacteristic show of optimism. A slight chuckle came from the Half-Elf as he watched the two interact. But he soon switched his attention back into the darkness within the fog.

Thoughts of his suspicions about the job still lingered. Are the two children still alive? If they ran into this kind of trouble, then they're most likely dead by now. But... DeMalo would probably die if they didn't at least get actual proof of the childrens' demise. If not, then he'd probably send more people to their deaths trying to find his lost loved ones.

But what drove these kids to come here? Why did they willingly enter if it was like this?

Duile looked back at the other three, people who were... in some way... just like him. Outcasts. He hoped that they'd all live long enough to find the answers they were sent to look for.

Suddenly, a shadowy figure breached the surrounding fog and hit straight into Duile while he had his head turned. Collapsing onto the ground, the smell of rotting flesh immediately came to his senses.

Zombies. More Zombies.

The noise alerted the other two as Coppermirth kicked his undead attacker off of him. Picking himself up, he raised his spear-scythe in defense. More zombies appeared from out of the mist. Not a large group, but still enough to cause problems for them.

"We have to keep 'em off Astrynax!" Duile ordered as he went into a fighting stance.

Battle!
Order of Initiative:
-Duile-
-Zombie 1 (Closest to Duile)-
-Bunny-
-Zombie 2 (Closest to Bunny and Kilisha)-
-Zombie 3 (2nd Closest to Duile)-
-Kilisha-
-Zombie 4 (2nd Closest to Bunny and Kilisha)-
-Zombie 5 (Closest to the KO'd Astrynax)-
-Battlefield Conditions: Protect the KO'd Astrynax from the zombies.

-Duile-
Raising his spear-scythe into the air, the Half-elf brought the curved blade down upon his closest attacker (Zombie 1).

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 18 *First Try @_@*)

The blade went deep into the top of the creature's skull, making a sickening sound, like the sound of stabbing a melon. Taking note of this, Coppermirth pulled down hard with all his might. The Scythe was literally ripped out of the creature's FACE, taking skull fragments and brain matter with it. The zombie's face was GONE, a big torn-up hole was where it's face should have been. Needless to say... the unfortunate monster was now dead... again.

-Zombie 1 (Closest to Duile)- *DEAD*

-Bunny-

(again, sorry... other stuff i had to do)

(GMing Action: d20 roll: 20 *O_O*)

Bunny's plan worked... too well to be exact. As her foot connected with the zombie's (#5's) legs, the force of the attack snapped the creature's legs clean off!!!

The beseiged zombie fell to the ground indeed, but was still alive, and now crawling towards the usagijin.

Zombie 2 (Closest to Kilisha)
With the usagijin tending to Astrynax, that left Kilisha alone against two enemies.

With the smaller prey gone, the closest of the two zombies headed towards the succubus instead. Rags hanging off it's limbs, the creature limped towards it's potential meal. She smelled different than the others, but they could still sense a spark of life in her.

Lunging forward without a second's hesitation, the zombie attacked.

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 12)

Slimey cold hands grasped the succubus' shoulders, catching her in a death grip. The zombie's sensed overflowed with anticipation. It slowly moved it's head forward for the kill.

Zombie 3 (2nd Closest to Duile)
Caring little that it's commrade was killed, the second zombie shambled it's way towards the half-elf. Coppermirth's smell excited the flesh eater, elven flesh always tasted good, even if it was only a half-blood.

Reaching forward with it's arms outstretched, the zombie made it's move. Falling forward at it's target, the zombie made a bid to grab the half-blood.

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 16 *getting too many high numbers 6_6*)

Grabbing onto the shirt of the elven-half, the zombie pulled itself and it's gaping mouth, towards Coppermirth's juggular.

Kilisha

(Your turn Seethe, got one zombie for ya to deal with.)

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 12)

Claws and skin made contact as the succubus' finers plunged into the rotting neck of the zombie. Kilisha could feel a slight, and small wiggling feeling as her fingers remained embedded in her attackers neck. The wriggling feeling was that of several maggots writhing around under the skin. But it hardly mattered now... as she was currently engaged in battle.

-Zombie 4 (2nd Closest to Kilisha)

As she stood there with her claws dug deep into her current opponent's neck, Kilisha was not quite out of danger yet. This became obvious as another zombie walked towards her.

As if it were coming to it's commrade's aid, the zombie limped over towards the succubus. Of course this was usual zombie tactics... one that really doesn't require the need for a thinking brain... more of an instinct kind of reaction than a true strategic tactic.

It was, as zombies usually do, attempting to overwhelm her as she was currently occupied. A simple thing really.

Hoping to take her by surprise, the zombie lurched forward at her backside....

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 3)

and ate dirt as it found itself face down on the ground. Again, zombies aren't too bright to begin with.

-Zombie 5 (Stumpy)

Crawling with it's hands, "Stumpy" advanded towards the usagijin. It seemd to not really take note of the fact that it no longer had legs. Not that a zombie would care though.

While it put the zombie at an extreme disadvantage, being on the ground n' all... it did allow for much better areas of attack. Leg flesh tastes just as good as the flesh surrounding brains.

Stumpy (yes its name's now Stumpy) reached towards Bunny's left leg, hoping to grab ahold of it and bite down as soon as possible...

(GMing Action: 15)

Success!!! Stumpy's cold dead hand latched around Bunny's calf muscle with an impressive death grip. It's wet and slimey hand felt cold, even against the usagijin's brown fur.

It had gotten ahold of her, anticipation was at it's peak... but now Stumpy would have to drag itself closer to get a bite in.

-Duile

"Get the fuck off me!!!" bellowed Duile as he fought with his undead attacker, as it tried desprately to take a bite into his neck.

With a free hand, which happened to be holding his trusty spear-scythe, Coppermirth swung it's scythe part upwards, towards the zombie's midsection.

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 13)

A wet stabbing sound and the blade was firmly planted in the undead creature's midsection. The blade's point jutting out of it's back.

It was enough force to keep the zombie from getting closer to his juggular... but it didn't help the fact that it was STILL clinging to him.

(OOC: again, apologies to the rpers for my lateness.)

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 18 *first try on the dice too* o_o)

History for the poor Usagijin repeated itself as her foot smashed into the rotting husk's head, crushing it upon impact. The old decayed skin giving way to the full force of the attack. The undead creature was dead (again) in a heartbeat. This was good and all... but the poor thing now had zombie ooze all over her foot.

-Zombie 2(in Kilisha's grasp)

The trapped flesh-eater lurched forward, trying to grab at it's captor, whom currently had it's neck in her grasp. It couldn't reach her...

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 15)

It's weak-boned legs gave away and the rotting carcass slipped down a bit towards the ground, but the succubus' hold still remained.

-Zombie 3(Currently getting it's stomach aerated by Duile)

The undead shell did not even notice it's new injury, it hardly notices anything except the smell of fresh food to devour. Right now the only thing keeping this zombie away from it's current potential meal was a very sharp and long scythe blade. A scythe blade which currently was embedded in it's midsection.

But this would not deter it, few things do when it comes to the undead. No, instead it did what most of it's unfortunate kind usually do... walk forward.

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 3)

Continuing forward only managed to shove the bladed object further into it's own body. Now it was just stuck there, reaching for the half-elf.

-Kilisha

As Kilisha thought about her next move, one thing was clear: she was NOT going to bite this thing. Hearing a thump beside her feet, she looked down and saw that a second zombie had landed there. She knew that she would need to rid herself of this first zombie quickly so that she wouldn't be up against two opponents at once. And so, she began tearing at the first zombie's throat.

(OOC: I apologize for the delay. I chose to take a small break from RPGWW and the net in general.)

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 13)

Rotted skin and decomposed organs were shredded as Kilisha tore into her captive' throat. More maggots covered her hand as she dug in.

But try as she might, the effects of the attack didn't seem to register upon her attacker.

"You gotta decapitate or dismember them Lisha! That's really the only way to stop 'em." bellowed Duile as he too was currently busy as well.

-Zombie 4 (At Kilisha's feet)

Spitting out dirt as it rose to it's feet, the zombie turned once again towards the succubus. It was now much closer than before.

It's mouth came down towards the succubus's right shoulder area...

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 10)

and got a mouthful of clothing! Surprised by this strange new taste, the zombie ripped off the piece in it's mouth. Chewing on it a bit before spitting out the cloth.

(The only problem with this is that I don't know what Kilisha is wearing, so the clothing damage is entirely up to the RPer.)

-Duile

Course fire always works too against zombies thought the Half-Elf as he held his current zombie attacker at bay.

IM:Having a conscious mage right now would be handy... but I guess I'll just have to make due.

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 19)

Pulling upwards with all his might, the half-elf's scythe blade began ripping through various organs and other decomposed innards of his frail adversary.

"Sorry to disappoint you... but I have better things to do than DIE!!!" yelled Duile as the scythe cleaved through and out of his enemies skull. Zombie blood went everywhere, as Coppermirth stood there, slightly drenched in blood n' ooze.

The NOW halves of the zombie split apart and the undead creature slumped to the ground. A rather gruesome display indeed, as bits and pieces of each vital part slid out onto the ground.

Bunny looked back and forth, not knowing what to do next. Her friends looked in trouble, but she couldn't leave the mages side. She knew if she did that would leave him open for an attack.

Bunny smiled and leapt forward a bit, but was still near the mage. She reached into her pouch and drew out a small dagger she hurled it at the zombie that was nearest to her, aiming for its back. She was hoping to get its attention.

(GMing Action: d20 roll: 19 *what's with these rolls lately?*)

Twirling in the air, the dagger flew towards the closest target, which happened to be the zombie currently in the grasp of Kilisha.

The attack got more than it's attention... it killed the damn thing, as the blade went right into the back of the creature's skull, stabbing the brain in the process.

The zombie slumped down in Kilisha's grasp and went limp. What little life there once was... was gone now. Maybe the poor soul would find peace now that it wasn't imprisoned in a shambling husk of a shell.

Seeing that the zombie in her grasp had died, Kilisha let it fall to the ground. She now only had to deal with the zombie that had taken a bite out of her shirt. She wasn't sure how she was going to decapitate or dismember it, but she knew that she would need to do something fast. So, holding her index and ring fingers straight, she turned to face the creature and gouged for its eyes, hoping that her long claws would make it to the monster's brain.

slime!!11

Unread postby Ash Fanrico » Wed May 19, 2004 1:52 am

(OOC: College is over now for a while, so I got some time finally to get back on track with this.)

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 15)

What could be described as a person's eyes exploded upon contact with the succubus' outstretched fingers as her hand shot foward at the zombie's face.

While not exactly working as planned, the move did now rob the zombie of sight.

-Zombie 4 (now blinded by Kilisha's current attack)

Confused by this new development, the blinded zombie began reaching out in the areas around it... franticly trying to find anything to grab onto and devour...

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 4)

but finding only air. But zombies are tenacious when food is near, so it kept searching.

-Duile-

The half elf had watched as the succubus blinded her opponent, and took the creature's sudden confusion to his advantage.

Rushing forward, spear-tip end pointing out, Duile lunges at the last zombie in this pack, trying to put a good sized hole where it's forehead is.

(GMing Action: d20 Roll: 15)

a spray of blood shot out of the zombie's neck as the spear cut into the ghoul's skin. Duile had acted too quickly, and as a result... didn't get what he wanted accomplished.

-Bunny-

(Your turn to hopefully end this Bunny)

Bunnys head lifted and her hands clenched into fists and she ran towards the Zombie and did a flip into the air she threw her foot out, aiming towards the zombie.

(atempting Leap Kick)

(GMing Action: d20 roll: Leap Kick: 17 Further Spear Damage: 17 *wonders how such a thing is possible*)

The force of the usagijin's attack impacted hard upon the zombie's chest, sending the shambling ghoul backwards, and off Duile's spear, further causing more neck area damage as the undead monster flew back. Blood from the creature's neck spurted all over the three fighters.

"Shit!" said Duile as he began wiping some of the blood off his face.

-Kilisha-

(Your turn Seethe, hopefully it will be the final blow and end this.)
