Ben regarded Rick silently during his point about staying out of populated areas, then cocked his head to one side. "I can do
this, though."
The air around the party shimmered slightly and each member suddenly appeared - to all senses - to be dressed in simple, homespun clothing in coarse fabrics, held together with buckles. Any visibly mechanical part of Addanaya was made to look like unblemished skin, and most of their equipment was changed to look appropriate for a world with medieval technology. The illusion's ability to fool touch was strangely spotty - textures could be imitated, but not broad shapes; Rick's fedora, for instance, had changed to a wide-brimmed straw hat, and while every part of it felt like straw, if he concentrated hard enough while touching it he would discover that it was still, strictly-speaking, fedora-shaped. "I'll need you to remote-view some locals, Spadey," Ben said. "That way I can get the specifics down. This is probably a decent start, though. Of course, there was little I could do to mask the loveliness of our three lady companions..." he gave a broad wink.
