HALP!! movie!!

Okie, i think there are people over here likely to recognize this movie that i caught a glimpse of, so please help me.

it's a Japanese movie, i only caught the ending and i'll try to describe what i saw the best i can so you can, maybe, point out the movie's name.

there is this animated part (anime) where a boy sees a hello kitty-ish character (named Nyanta) using a machine to turn all the people he hates into "things he likes", namely Food (this on it's own was creepy).

The sequence ends and we're shown a boy in front of a computer (supposedly the "real" counter part of the boy in the anime part) all freakead out, so i didn't put attention to this part, but it quickly changes to a shot of a bomb hidden...somewhere, i missed some more details after that.

Then, another anime part comes up, this time the boy is crying for Nyanta to bring back the people who were turned into food, after a cutish dance, Nyanta brings back the people in a seemingly happy ending.

Once again, we're shown the real world where the kid is wondering if "everything" was just a dream, then there is a knock on the door, the boy (fearful) ask "who is there" it turns out to be Nyanta ( her voice claims so) and asks the boy to open up as he gets even more scared and blood starts slipping under the door. the movie ends there.

so, does it rings any bell?

okie! after some research i finally nailed some info.

it turns out it wasn't a movie at all, instead it is a short story part of a collection called "Prayer Beads" which contains 9 creepy unrelated stories.

What i saw is part of the 8th one and it's called "Cat's Paw".
