Well, I plan on drawing some more, but I see the Daily Dinosaur Comic's style as a way of fully exploring the full potential of any given arrangement of characters within a single scene. I feel a lot of the stagnation in modern media, and comics in general stems from the linearity I hope to overcome with my four-dimensional take on any number of situations. In doing so, I transcend mainstream 'comics' and become something new and fresh; a sort of art-form that can only truly be captured by slight variation on a common theme-- the themes of what it is to be human, and the hardships that unite us all.

STORYTIME #7

Unread postby Capntastic » Thu Feb 16, 2006 9:38 pm

Image

One day, Ned rented a Minion from Kelne, to help him ensure quality of his mass produced clothing goods

Image

The minion was glad to help, and thusly was dubbed "Inspector #1"

Image

Thogh he was doing his best, he just could not keep up with Ned's speed, and was quickly overwhelmed.

Image

He enlisted the help of some of his buddies.

Image

Soon, all of Doma was under the careful scrutiny of the Inspectors.
Image

Kelne knew that vandalism was too petty a hustle for his stature, and set out to set things right. He powered up his sword!
Image

End sensed this, and was ready to fight! He too powered up.

Image

Kamos tried to power up but he left his Holoduke in his other beret.

For extended special materials, save this image and open it using Winamp. By combining music and art with 'post-humor' writing, I have created a multimedia platform that will unite all of the faculties of the human mind under one brightly colored circus tent of love.

Elaborate on this circus tent of love, I appear to be having difficulties getting it set up. <p><hr />

<span style="font-size:xx-small;">"Their rhetoric... You didn't put communists in his bed did you!" came Amber's indignant reply.

"Why not? All I had to do was open a gate to his bed and stick up a sign saying 'Hot virgin willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of international socialist fraternity.'"</span>

ISSUE TEN: REVENGE OF SPLEEN

Unread postby Capntastic » Thu Feb 23, 2006 1:19 am

Image

COMMENTARY: In this one I tried to really capture the contrast between Spleen's shoot first/ask questions later attitude with Milo's more laid-back contemplative approach to life problems. If you look closely, you can see an invention Milo has been working on that just may come into play at a later issue. The transition, I feel, works well at conveying the passage of time, and how it distorts how one percieves things.

ISSUE ELEVEN: THE QUEST CONTINUES

Unread postby Capntastic » Sun Feb 26, 2006 7:46 am

COMMENTARY: Will Milo's invention be enough to get the team out of this bind? Look carefully for the "Kameo" in which our friend Kamos imparts some wisdom unto the group. Also, during the shipping of the reels from editing, the last scene got exposed, and would have blown our budget to pieces re-shooting it.
