Proper usage of grammar would be nice. Capitalization is a plus. At least you can spell if not punctuate. Intelligence as well. This is not THAT much different from Ezboards.

Also: Ezboards offers helpful explantions on how to use their service at the main site. Come back educated, PLEASE.
---------------Celeste of Elvenhame ---------------

*cries* I've been yelled at. Now I shall run away.

Or......

I shall wonder why you still can't type more than a sentence at a time.

(I may take your place FD in telling the idiot newbies just how unwelcome idiocy and/or lack of intelligence is welcome here.)

See, I don't think it's just going to be you and FD telling the oh-so-charming spriteeditor that he's an unwelcome idiot, Celeste. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the majority of the communnity as a whole.

Or at least you, FD, and myself.

Also, Devil5, use spriteeditor as an example of what not to do. Him and Sicvic. And IceExplosive, or whatever that guy's name is.

Ohy yea, I suppose I should actually try to answer the guy's question... hmmm...

The reason your "sig" didn't work is probably because you didn't select the "ezCodes" radio button in the "Formatting:" section of the posting... window... thing. It should work fine if you do that next time.

To put it in your sig, though, you're gonna need to click on "My Control Center" at the the top of the forum'sfront page, just under "Image Join Live Chat!". You're gonna wanna look for My Account > Account Preferences > Use Custom Signature. Be sure once you actually put your sig ezCode in there that you click the "Use Custom Signature" checkbox and select the "ezCodes" radio button.

Oh, and a word of advice... don't expect to get much traffic on your website via that little sig of yours.

Image

Edited by: BrainWalker Image at: 6/3/04 10:16 pm

Of note (maybe), Spriteeditor was actually on RPGWW back in the day when we were still on Keenspace. Not that it excuses being dumb or anything.

Also, 2 things of note:

1) There's a "Testing" part of the forum. Go edit your code there until it is well done.
2) Under your name to the left, beside "ReplY", there's the button I worship daily. Its call "edit", and its really useful. (And BW, there's another post by Devil5 floating around, which is almost similar to this one. Delete?)

Edit: I am a fool who should learn to read before I type..... :(

I'd like to clean up that extra random topic, but they only let me do my thing in one forum. Probably because I never RP.

Image

Not that you ever knew me Banjooie. But anyhow, what exactly makes you people think you have the right to judge someone right off the joining? Even if they have terrible punctuation, grammer, or just plain speak jibberish. Sorry for being dumb, this is just my morals.

EDIT: I relieze I have been here before, but I'm not using it an excuse so you folks know.

okthen, spriteeditor, i not judge ya then.

I mena thess high-horsey ppl should kep to t'a corner, as this is publivc forum, ya' know? 'tis for every1!!! y should u judge ppl jus 'cause teh type wrond? its! UNFAIR!! mine think should be all hear!!

I may nor borfer to spell-chek or hace grammer good burt it's idea that counts rite?

(OOC: Do you have enough now, spriteeditor? How do you feel now? On a high horse? Or shall I continue?

Maybe CoE is a little hard-handed, but advices for good grammer and spelling should be respected at least. If you do not even have the courtesy to try and make your posts readable, why should others listen to you?

And to the rest: Sorry for the murder of the language, once again :(. And sorry about the outburst, but something about spriteeditor's quote ("Even if they have terrible punctuation, grammer, or just plain speak jibberish.") ticked me of.)

It's one thing to say:

"You really need to work on your grammer and punctuation. It's hard to understand you and take you seriously if you don't put more of an effort into it."

It's another thing to say:

"Come back educated, PLEASE"

There's a lot worse to be bothered getting upset with, folks. Lighten up.

FF, that wasn't being upset, that was outright contempt.
---------------Celeste of Elvenhame ---------------
