You need a program called a ripper. Search download.com for an appropriate program. The one I use is called "SIMPLE." <p>

I often just use Windows Media Player to rip songs from CDs. Quick, easy, and no problematic downloads. Then again, that DOES make them into WMA files. They do play on most standard MP3 players, if that's why you're ripping it. Otherwise, oh well. ^_^; Sorry I wasn't of help. <p>

MusicMatch will also do it for you, and can rip directly to MP3 format. Being oldschool, myself, I use WINDAC32 to rip to wav, and a compressor to convert to mp3.
