Harry Potter V: Order of the Phoenix

Unread postby SDNess » Sun Jun 22, 2003 11:14 pm

I got mine on Saturday. I've only read 50 pages unfortunately because I have a chemistry final exam on Tuesday. But, I have a nice looonnnggg plane ride the day after that - 800 pages of Harry Potter and 3 Shonen Jump issues will do. :)

Why thank you for telling us.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be in the corner, beating myself in the head with a shovel because I spent my Barnes and Noble card buying the next Sabriel book instead of pre-ordering Harry Potter.

Hurrah.

I finished it yesterday. Image

Ought we to discuss the book in a generalized and *spoiler omitted* fashion? Or would that spoil things for those who still have not eternal blis... err... I mean, Harry Potter V.

Got mine at Wal-mart for 16 bucks at 7:30 AM while I was getting ready for graduation. o.O I went back to Wal-Mart, and they still had a HUGE stack of books.

I think it was Wal-Mart, it might be Albertsons, I dunno.
|---------|

Finished mine the day it came out. Loved it to little pieces. Cried so hard when *spoiler* happened.

Really? I thought the *spoiler* was a bit of a let down, although that may have been because I waited three years between books.

I liked the part where Voldemort set up his pastry shop, and Harry went to the dentist.

That chapter was ace.

But not the Dumbledore/McGonagall/Snape love triangle?

I thought that was the best part!

I don't know. I liked the bit where we found out that Ginny was a bondage freak.

Now, what I want to find out in the sixth book is where Cho, Hermione, and Fleur went off to in the last chapter.

I died as plant and rose to animal.
I died as animal and I was human.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?

And when I sacrifice my angel soul
I shall become what no mind ever concieved."

I liked the hot owl sex scene, myself.

And it was really funny when they went to Voldemort's hideout and found bootleg Matrix: Reloaded DVDs.

Of course, the funniest scene of all was when Harry's spell "accidentally" changed Hermione, Cho, and Ginny into rabid, insatiable lesbians.
_________________

Indeed! Hell Tonks does indeed rock, although I never thought ol' Tonks would have a demonic twin.
