Ze Official FlameRaven Art Thread

Unread postby FlameRaven » Mon Dec 11, 2006 12:49 am

*hammers in sign*

Hello, peoples. This is sorta my introduction thread as well as my show-off-my-art-thread, because I'm lazy like that. Anyway, I'm FlameRaven, and while I met Kai and Archmage a number of months ago, I haven't come here to post much.

But, since I plan to start RPing here pretty soon, I figured I might as well start posting and getting to know the community a little better... and show off my art. Because that's really the thing I do more than RPing, even. ^^

That said, I'll simply start off by pointing in the direction of my deviantART gallery over here and my sketch journal here. Later I'll post up individual pieces.

Enjoy~

I just got around to looking at it and was thoroughly pleased.

You don't happen to do commissions, do you?

Ho-ly shit. I am thoroughly impressed.

...and jealous. You have an anime class?! <p>"DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DEFEAT US? OUR TREASURE MAY BE HEAVY, BUT WE ARE LIGHT AS WIND. ONLY MAGICS MAY HURT US, BUT ONLY WE KNOW WHICH ONES." --Omoikane, Digital Devil Saga 2</p>

Capntastic- yeah, I do commissions. ;)

The anime class turned out to be less exciting than it might have been. The teacher had a really heavy Japanese accent, and as a result didn't lecture very much. So we had to listen to our classmates discuss the anime instead... and considering over half the class didn't know anything about anime, it didn't turn out very well. <p>----

Eh, it's not so bad. The one textbook for the class is very interesting, and if nothing else, I got to spend 2 1/2 hours a week watching anime, and get credit for it. <p>----

Yer sig's a touch broke. Take the quotes out of the DA link, and yer good.

Oh, and I adore your clean, beautiful style. *hide* <p>

Aha. Thanks for letting me know. I'm still used to LJ and it's extremely quote-picky settings.

And thank you. ^^ <p>----

Shiny!

Unread postby FlameRaven » Sun Dec 31, 2006 3:00 am

And... a sketch! I have others to upload later, but for now, just a bit of random silliness...

This is what popped into my mind when I heard the title for the new Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows" ...

Image

Probably not terribly original, but I found it amusing, anyway.

(EDIT: Oh, and if you don't watch Bleach... yeah, 's a Hollow up there. Like I said, not that original...) <p>----

That's fine. Ichigo can just chop at its feet until it comes down to Harry's height, and then it'll be possible for the little wizard to help. <p>-------------------------

Well, what's Harry going to do, poke at it with his wand? Or would all those Defense Against the Dark Arts spells work against Hollows?

Actually, this picture ended in a conversation about what would win in a Dementor vs. Hollow fight when I showed it to a friend yesterday, and... that's territory I'm not sure I want to go into again. <p>----

Hollows get stronger, Dementors don't. Case closed.

And, I can't see this wonderful Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows image you've tried to display. <p>

I don't know anything about Bleach, but keep in mind, Chuck, a Patronus is apparantly the only thing that can stop a Dementor; nothing else works at all. <p>
