Insane in the Brain

Unread postby Kelne » Thu Feb 10, 2005 12:24 am

Mutewave was right - Decepticons did love to brag. Unfortunately, they tended to reserve it for before or after a fight. As the Crusher had indeed done. Still, there was always a way to prey on their innate superiority complex.

In this case... Havoc holstered his gun, and raised his voice to get some attention. "Alright, bozo. You and me. One-on-one. Winner takes all." He raised his fists and settled himself into something like a boxer's stance. With a bit of luck, the decepticon would be too busy laughing for a few critical seconds to give much thought to evasion. If not... Well, Havoc was ready and willing to dodge, run away, or otherwise avoid being pounded to scrap.

Funky Dope Maneuver

Unread postby FlamingDeth » Thu Feb 10, 2005 2:55 am

The Decepticon stopped dead in his tracks, and just stared.

"Y...you aren't actually serious are you?" he said, looking quite stunned. "I'm pulverizing you already. But if you insist..."

He began a slow trudge towards Havoc, grinning, clearly interested in the prospect of an unfair fight. He didn't have his opportunity, as a fairly bright purple blast slammed into his upper back. Before he could so much as make a noise, a fairly large sized girder hit him in the back of his head, sending him face first into the dirt, with a fair amount force...after all, he was quite top heavy.

It appeared that the Autobots were victorious. Well, if you count having an apparently dead teammate and making something of a ruckus a victory. Luckily, they were in between patrols - but they had to do something with this Decepticon before the next patrol.

"I'll buy that for a dollar!" Tar-Mach says, as he sets his girder on the ground and leans on it. He then looks to Havoc and says, "It's in the air! But only you have a name for it."

It's My Life

Unread postby Kelne » Fri Feb 11, 2005 6:06 am

As always, Havoc had next to no idea what Tar-Mach was talking about. It was a sensation he was becoming used to. For his part, he wasn't feeling particularly triumphant.

"We'd best see if there's anything we can do for Ojitron," he said, walking over to check their fallen comrade, "If not... If not, he can go back into stasis until we're rescued."

However far in the future that might be. At the moment, Havoc was none too certain that any of them would be leaving.

Tar-Mach nods, and sets to work on getting an idea how badly Ojitron has been damaged, and whether or not he was rebootable or simply salvage.

Superman is Dead

Unread postby FlamingDeth » Tue Feb 15, 2005 3:06 pm

The two Autobots examined their fallen comrade. The most obvious bit of damage was that he was missing an arm. No telling where that went off to. The connection to his legs was crushed, making it so that even if he was concious, he would be unable to move them, and as a result would also be unable to transform. Upon further examination, it seemed that one of his energy regulators was completely destroyed, as was his vocal computer. Aside from that, it seemed that it was mostly crunched armour. And half of his face being crushed in.

Needless to say, Ojitron couldn't be activated again without far better repair facilities than they had available.

"No love, no hope, no time," Tar-Mach says. "We can't get the red out, Chief. Maybe if we rustled up that there pick-up..."

With that, he goes to examine the Decepticon for parts that might be useful in salvaging Ojitron.

As Tar-mach turned towards the downed opponent, he saw Mutewave standing over him (the opponent; not himself). Her gun pointed at the defeated decepticon's head, and she wearing an inscrutable expression. She seemed rather self absorbed at the moment.

Tar-Mach seems quite content to ignore this moment of mental turmoil. After all, if she's hesitating, then having someone in the way won't matter!

Spare me the details

Unread postby Kelne » Tue Feb 22, 2005 4:33 am

Havoc sighed. It didn't look like they'd be able to do anything for Ojitron. Not with the meagre resources they had. The best they could do was put him in stasis for the duration.

He might even wind up in a new chassis. A development which would certainly lead to a bit of grumbling.

Seeing that Tar-Mach was at work on their fallen foe, he said, "Make sure you disable any power sources and pull the transmitters. We don't want any locator beacon going off."

It sounded cold to his ears. There wasn't much to be done about it, though.

Havoc remained standing by Ojitron for a few moments, then set about tidying up any signs of a fight and stowing their gear away. Odds were nobody would be searching here in particular, but it was best to be sure. Still, he couldn't escape the feeling he was just going through the motions.

Back on a Mission

Unread postby FlamingDeth » Wed Feb 23, 2005 12:24 am

Tar-Mach pulled out a few wires, hoping that they led to and from transmitters and power supplies. It was honestly hard to tell with this guy, as his construction was like none the Junkion had seen before. He did not, however, find any components that could be used to get Ojitron running again...the parts were just too different.

It didn't take much to clean up the area - the fight didn't last long, and all their equipment was fairly self-contained. However, there was no telling where Ojitron's missing parts were...that was worrisome.

A mission from god?

Unread postby Kelne » Wed Feb 23, 2005 6:22 am

Havoc checked his chronometer. They still had a while before they had to worry about the next patrol. He didn't like the idea of dividing their forces again, so soon after such a fight, but it wouldn't be for long. "I'm going to backtrack and make sure there aren't any traces of Ojitron's fight," he said, "They'll still wonder what happened to their friend here, but hopefully without any evidence, they'll log it as an unexplained mystery."

"We've got dead weight, matey," Tar-Mach says, motioning to the fallen decepticon. "What's the plan, eh wot?"

In spite of himself, Havoc smiled slightly. It wasn't a particularly cryptic phrase, but... "The sea hides a multitude of sins, Tar-Mach."

Mutwave slowly lowered her gun then, looking a little less shaken. "That's another thing... there's one particular underwater secret right next to us, and it should probably stay that way... I know the Aeon isn't worth much, but... it's the closest thign we have to a home base. I don't think we shoudl attract much more attention to it, or it's shores."

"Right you are, good buddy!" Tar-Mach answers, taking the decepticon by it's feet and starting to drag it into the lake.

Havoc nodded, "Any attention at all is bad attention," he said, transforming, "I'll be back shortly, and then we'll decide on our next move."

So saying, he set out to backtrack the decepticon's path, gather up any loose parts, and generally erase any signs of a fight.

Clean

Unread postby FlamingDeth » Sun Feb 27, 2005 8:51 pm

Tar-Mach noticed quite easily that the Decepticon was considerably larger than himself. He did make progress, though it was slow, and in doing so, he began uproot any plants that were in the way, move any rocks, and just generally make a shallow (yet easily visible) trench. He had to stop, though, when the Decepticon got jammed against a tree trunk, nearly damaging his memory unit.

Havoc cruised along quietly, his repulsors keeping him from coming in contact with the ground. The first logical place to search was obviously the last place that they had seen Ojitron. Sure enough, very close to the first tower, he managed to find what was probably the biggest give-away: his arm. He picked up various small components from around it, and began walking back to the 'camp', picking up what little bits he could. It was unlikely that he'd be able to find EVERYTHING, but he would certainly be able to pick up enough of the pieces that the rest wouldn't be very noticeable.

"Care to take a spin already, Julie?" Says Tar-Mach, looking at Mutewave and gesturing toward the Decepticon's hands.

She looked more than a little... annoyed at the Junkion's direct approach. Still, if they hadn't managed to find the Aeon after all these months (years?) maybe a little more scrap metal wouldn't be noticed. She sighed, and grabbed the tree by the base, unsheathed a two-meter reciprocating saw from her wrist, and started cutting it free.

"I'll try and set up a listening bug on him... if he starts echoing anything so much as the time of day, we'll need to rethink this disposal... and in any case, some old-fashioned camo should cover up this little landing strip of yours." She pushed the now severed tree aside, and tried to lift one of the Decepticon's arms. She did her best not to grunt.
