(ooc: Lost this is a good post but don't forget that you need to post your reaction to the dream. Thanks. Ps. I am going to go ahead and make it morning. How you find the flyer is up to you. )
The morning came slowly, like it often did in the city. It seemed odd though, that the morning would come so slowly. Often times the city was so alive with people that it seemed that morning was always and forever, never ending and always there.
The wind blew threw the open window, waking May. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, which seemed to refuse to open. She didn't bother to look out the window on this slow morning, she often did but today, her mind was on other things.
If she had bothered to look, she might have noticed the sky, which seemed to be blocked by the thick clouds. There was more to the sky though, on this slow morning it seemed to just end. The clouds fell around the city, seemingly becoming a wall. Impassable, no way in . . . . no way out.
May walked threw the house in a daze; carefully stepping over her aunt’s outstretched hand. She had passed out again, this time; at least she was wearing cloths.
Walking threw the streets, the city was slowly crawling to life, but the people looked odd. There faces were quant, as if they had not slept. May felt the same way, tired, and not willing to really do anything.
Come to think of it, why was she out? School was out for a week while the plumbing was being redone, and she didn't have any where else she wanted to be.
She leaned against a bus sigh and stared at the schedule that had been posted on the pool.
She just wanted to do something; boredom was a common thing in the city.
Her eyes shifted slightly as something bright and neon caught her eyes.
It was taped sloppily to the side of a mail box, and it seemed to be torn. But it was still readable.
COME TO THE CARNIVAL OF SIGHTS. AMAZING THINGS TO BEE SEEN. SEE THE MAN WITH NO FEET, NO HANDS, AND NO EYES. SEE THE LIZARD BOY.
FREE FOR ALL THE FIRST DAY.
May crossed her arms and sighed as she ripped the flyer from the post box.
"Nothing else to do, so why not." She said as the bus pulled up behind her. She got on, nearly falling off thanks to a fat woman with five bags.
At least the slow morning was off to a small start.
(ooc. If you want you can find your flyer. Do not jump ahead though. Don't go strait to the tent once you get there; think about things you would do if you were at a carnival. Each of you can make up an event or game if you like.)
