The small town of Crestwood, nesseled between the Middle mountain, a small town, filled with the hopes of many a Dream chaser.
Crest wood, often called the middle city, was host to many travelers. Amoung these were adventures known as Dream chasers.
Each holding out their hand, and hoping that destiny would give them a chance.
He had decided to rest hear before heading back out.
It had been bad enough that he let the Dream chasers escape, and escape with the very thing he was looking for. Or so he thought.
The man in black had made other plans. The Dream Chasers he had encountered were most likely just looking for random treasure.
He had to wait, for his comrad. As eh stepped into the small town of Crestwood, he could see that the town had been cleaned quickly of the sand. Something that made him laugh to himself.
He walked on, passing the many shops, and people. People rushing to buy, rushing to learn, rushing to forget.
He stopped and entered a small inn, and sat down in the corner, hidden from sight. Just waiting for his comrade.
And she did come.
He knew she was there, the moment she walked threw the door the place reacted. Her hair was long, flaxen, and shinny. Her eyes deep violet. The dress she wore, hung to her knees, revealing a pair of short brown boots.
The men in the saloon began to howl as she walked by. But upon her face, she wore a fixed gaze of harshness.
He did not look up at her when she addressed him.
"And?" She asked siting down across from him. His glass disappeared under his hat as he took a drink. This only caused her to glare harder at him.
"And what?" He said gruffly.
"Did you get it?"
"No, it wasn't there." He said flatly. She leaned back in her chair, her violet eyes narrowed.
"Well we didn't really think it would be there." She said as a man ran up to her holding out a drink. She took it and waved him off.
"No, but still, our machine are seldom wrong."
"But they arent exact either." She said after downing a shot of whisky. "It gives us a ruff estimate after all. For all we know it could be hear."
He shook his head.
"Preahaps its time to look into the old files again, see if we can dig anything new up."
She nodded.
"Yes, but keep it quiet," she said softly. "These backwards locals don't know anything more than just surviving. They couldn't possibly understand what we are doing."
She raised her glass to him, and a cruel cold smile formed on her lips.
"To the future."
He raised his and nodded. There wasn't anything for him to toast, they had yet to find the very thing they needed.
(just kinda a blurb. Please no one notice them yet.)
