Alexander, figuring he was still getting paid for all of this, decided to follow Tim around. He was a bit hungry now after all of that, and his stomach growled from time to time.

Thomas fully exited the farmhouse, to see Tim's minions harvesting the grain, bagging it and putting it on large wagons. They were nearly finished, and Thalakos was somewhere nearby. (OOC: Where is he, anyway?)

"Well, well well," he said surprisedly, "what have we here?"

Tim came up to him and began to explain their particular mission of refuge, while Thomas curled his beard interestedly.

(Tim's Minion B), the Mystic Knight, came up to Tim. Noting the arrival of the newcomer, he said nothing about it. Tim usually gave orders on a "need to know" basis; if there was anything he needed to know about this dragoon (Thomas), he would hear about it, he reasoned.

"Foodstuffs are packed, sir. Animals should arrive during the night, and the people will re-convene tomorrow morning to depart. Everything is taken care of."

Tim nodded and said, "Well done." He took off a gauntlet and a bracer and removed a small bag, presumably filled with gold, from the bracer, which he placed in (Tim's Minion B)'s hand. "Get yourself some rest." (Tim's Minion B) nodded and began to leave.

Tim turned to his Alexander, Angel, Thomas, and William. "The same goes for you."

He strode over to the men with wagons and began to give some orders.

Thomas turned to the other three. "I don't particularly feel like obeying him; to a bar perhaps?"

((OOC: As it is right now, you all have full run of the town, so to speak. The only direct objective at the moment is hunt down Blade (who is still existant) for a substantial bounty but this is totally optional. Also, Angel, you can do your subplot as long as you clear it with me via email; others may want to join him on his sidequest. Just remember; the wagons leave "the next day."))

Angel turned to Thomas after he remarked that they go to the bar.

"Bars are to depressing." Angel said walking off to the timber line of the woods. he mentally heard the creaking of a crossbow, he stood for a second and turned to teh group.

"Ok, bar sounds good." Angel said with a smile as he walked into town.

Angel entered a small buisness before going to the bar, which had several weapons and shields to buy. A few moments later, Angel exited the shop as the keeper looked confusingly around for his "prized" bow that was on the counter just a few moments ago.

"never underestimate a bounty hunter." Angel said as he fingured teh bowstring to see that it was tightly attacked the the recurve.

He entered the bar to already see some of teh tavern patrons already getting drunk.

After pawning some usless items to teh extremely incoherent drunks he walked up to teh bar and quickly ordered a mug of rum.

Grabbing the cool, watery side of the mug caused him to think back to teh battle that he particapated in, not more than a couple days before(my first post).

"Come to think of it." Angel said to himself looking at the floor. "the Orcs should be headed this way..."

Thomas entered the bar as well and ordered "something really really strong," as he called it.

Recieving a small cup filled with a soupy brown liquid, he quaffed in in one gulp, then promptly clutched his throat.

"Whoo..." he said hoarsely.

Angel chuckled politally as thomas grabbed his throat in pain.

"someone hasn't been around in a while." Angel said to hiumself as he further examined his bow.

his bow had wood which was covered in velvet (the stuff from deer horns) to keep it warm and have a better grip. a small notch was made into the middle of teh bow and help balance the arrow.

"Hm...I like this" Angel said with a smaile than slinging it around his back.

He walked over to several 'wanted' posters flung unorderly on the east wall. All teh crimanals were pretty tough looking and just another brute that could be taken with a simple arrow from a bow.

Angel noticed one that had more rewards on his head than anyone, his name was blade. Angel figured with all those rewards he's probably already dead and sat back down.

Thomas was still struggling, Angel sat next to him and ordered the strongest thing they had. The bartender looked at angel and passed him a small cup with soapy brown liquid in it.

Angel raised it up and gulped it down slowly...

(i'm gonna let teh DM decide wether Angel showed thomas up or became anopther victim of "the drink" keep in mind he's been around the block more than once ;))

Alexander, however, decided not to follow them all to the bar and was instead perched on the roof off the farmhouse. He was enjoying some well earned rest and some food he pilfered from the fields.

Angel soon realized what had made Thomas clutch at his throat. A strange piercing, and ultimately painful sensation assaulted the whole of his gullet, as if his throat were being repeatedly cut.

Thomas gave a smirk at Angel. "Little transparent pieces of something; cuts up your throat so the alcohol goes to the blood faster." Ordering a lesser drink, he gulped that down as well. "Heals pretty quickly though."

Angel got up and quickly sat back down after a rolling the ground session and threw his fist to the bar.

"Wow!" he said as his eyes widened in excitment. "Give me another one!"

The bartender handed him another of the same drink and Angel quickly fell to teh ground again clenching his throat.

"I love this stuff." Angel said getting up again and obviously becoming drunk and lively.

He exited teh abr with alittel stumble and worked his way back up to teh farmhouse...

(OOC: heh, wow, i'd say you lost inspiration)

angel made his way to the farm house and began to start a convesation with one of Tim's minions.

"Did you hear about this 'blade' guy?" Angel said sluring alittle. "Some big tough guy, my arrow is gonna meat his head and i'll drag his corpse into the sheriff's office and throw him on the floor."

Tim's minion seemed slightly discouraged by Angel's drunkenness and continued to work trying to ignore him.

"Oh, don't want to talk?" Angel said with a 'fightin' words' additude and stumbled alittle. "ok, than, don't expect me to help you out!"

Angel walked into the farmhouse and found a bed which was highly dusty and housed a few spiders. He layed down but kept his weapons close to his side.

Angel's eyes opened quickly as a creaking of a crossbow could be heard in the distance. Although he was drunker than a tavern patron he could still tell who it was...Touami.

"Shit, i can never get any sleep around here." Angel said grabbing his head in agravation...

(I think thta should leave you with something to act on)

(OOC: FYI, Blade is Lord Shadow's lich character that got put in limbo when he got banned. Though I don't particularly like him or his character, it makes a good side-quest and a final solution; as it stands, he is still at large.)

Tim turned momentarily from his supervising. One of the shadows was near; sensing assassins and their ilk was one of the first lessons of persons of his abilities.

A quick aura scan proved this hypothesis, and he went to investigate, giving his final order: to bring to loaded wagons to the south road of the city, very nearby to the farms themselves, and to guard them through the night.

He moved swiftly despite his heavy armor, and soon spotted a figure moving stealthily toward the farmhouse where, unknown to Tim, Angel resided.

"Halt!" his voice rang out "Who goes there?"

His hand on his sword, he muttered something inaudible under his breath, which knowing Tim was probably a spell. The shadows began to lengthen while the sun hung low on the horizon.

He had no followers with him. He needed none.

Angel loked out his wondow to see Tim and Touami staring each other down as he called out for a name.

"Idiot." Angel thought to himself as he pulled his bow out from around his neck. "If Touami knows your there you can't beat her."

Angel pulled back on the bow with an arrow stratigically placed on the string. he aimed high above Touami's head and angled it so if it missed it wouldn't hit Tim. He held his breath and let an arrow soar through the air.

The arrow came to a resting point in Touami's shoulder. She recoiled in pain as the arrow struck deep but unfortunatly did hit any important veins. knowing she was out numbered and caught off guard she ran off into the woods. The creaking of her crossbow could be heard seconds after she entered the woods...

Angel walked up to Tim and lowered his bow to his hip. Tim seemed obviously confused by Angel's presence.

"Watch out." Angel said as he gave Tim a serious look than turned towards the woods. "wait for it..."

A bolt flew inches from Angel's head and hit the ground behind him.

"Ok, she there." Angel said looking up in a tree than putting away his bow and wielding his shortsword. He dashed off towards the woods and disappeared into the underbrush in pursuit of Touami.

"Hold this for me." Angel yelled out of the woods as a bow came flying out of the brush and followed by a quiver of arrows. "they will just slow mwe down."

Heavy combat could be heard from the woods and injuries were obviously being inflicted by the screams of pain...

William was bored with the paper. Nothing of any interest ever happened in the town. William turned his head and looked outside, in time to see an arrow hit a woman in the shoulder. Other men were around her with weapons drawn. Why so many against one? This is unfair.

William quickly got up and ran outside to stop them from hunting her. He reached them rather quickly.

"Hey. Why are all of you going after her?" William yelled at them.

A five-pointed star in a circle appeared in the ground below Tim, with him in the center. As he began to chant in a strange language, the circle became readily apparent as it glowed red. A few nearly transparent whitish stubs (sort of mushroom-looking) began to appear on the ground within its radius.

Sorry about being confusing!))

A figure, ghostly, pale, white and translucent slid slowly out of the ground, the "mushroom-like" thing being the top of its head. Its eyes were pallid grey stones, and it hovered above the ground. It looked clad in a white bural shroud, and its face was horridly pale and disfigured. (OOC: Basically, typical ghosts.)

More soon followed the first, and began to glide toward the thicket where Angel and Tounami fought as Tim continued to chant, louder and more harshly, each word ringing out, though none could understand them.

Angel held Touami's blade back with his shortsword which wasn't anything speacil, just a metallic silver blade, stained red with years of blood and fighting.

A white figure was approaching the woods an dfloating silently through teh night and stood out brightly.

Angel shoke his head as he took another good look at it to see what he was seeing.

in his hesitation Touami's blade fell onto his shoulder causing a deep wound that bleed thickly as he feel to teh ground in pain. A balck edge filled the lining of his sight and creeped closer to teh middle untill he couldn't see anything but blackness and than passed out from bloodloss...

(OOC: 'course it's ok!)

More and more ghosts drifted from the ground enclosed by the circle (which is about 5-6' in diameter) and sped towards the thicket. Within the thicket, Tounami found herself surrounded by five or six of them, and that number rapidly increased. The ghosts circled her silently, slowly at first, but faster and faster. She felt her very life energy being drained from her, and unconsciously realized she would have to do something, and quickly.

She was surrounded by fifteen spectres before she could react beyond simple surprise.

Thalakos' sword ripped straight through the spectre, slicing it into a mist that gradually drifted away. But what constitution lacked, numbers more than made up for. Thalakos was within the unholy circle of ghosts now, and he felt a similar drain as did Tounami.

William ran at the ghosts. He did a little jump, he held his hands as if he were going to swing longsword at a couple of them. Then he did act like he swung the sword. Just before the imaginary sword would've hit the ghost, his real sword apeared in his hands.

William hit the ground with one knee centimeters above the ground, the other in front of him. His sword held on his right side. William launched him self at the ghost in front of him swinging the sword at it, this time when he landed he roled so that when he was back up he was in a battle ready stance facing the ghosts.

William's sword shattered all three of his target ghosts; wailing, they returned as wisps of cloud to the ground. As William had chosen not to recklessly throw himself within the circle of spirits, he felt none of the lifedrain that Thalakos, Tounami and Angel were feeling.

Thalakos' spinning attack also sent two similar ghosts packing, wailing as they returned to haunt another day.

At the edge of the clearing, Tim stopped chanting. His eyes opened and the circle of red light disappeared from under him. The ghosts stopped spewing from the ground; their numbers had stopped increasing.

Right away, there was a behavioral change in the spirits. Their circle broke, and they began to form new circles around the four, five encircling each of Tounami, William, Thalakos and Tim. Angel, being unconscious, was ignored. Thalakos' and Tounami's vision began to dim, and they felt a tangible heaviness weighing down on them. William began to feel these effects too as he was surrounded.

"Bloody hell..." Tim thought as five ghosts surrounded him too, "they're out of control!"

Realizing his magic wouldn't work against the undead, he reached down to his sword with much trepidation and drew it.

A bird had come into view from the North. As it came closer to the city, the castle lookouts saw what was taken to be a Celestial. They assumed that it was a messenger from the battlefield, and they were hoping for good news.

As it came still closer, they were shocked to see that its wings seemed to be on fire. Calls for water were quickly sounded to greet this Holy Messenger.

Raishiliah flew over the castle, muttering about dinner. She was grumpy from a six hour flight and a narrow escape from demons.

The lookoutmen called for (what they thought to be) the Celestial to come back. By Fortius, what was it doing?

She was extremely confused. Some places yelled for her to leave, she didn't even know them, and yet they were calling her? She decided to go to the town and get some food. She still had ashes in her mouth from angry mob of townspeople at the last village.

Raishiliah landed in the town square. Some of the townspeople made quite a commotion. They had hardly seen creatures with wings, flaming ones nonetheless.

"What year is this?" she inquired from a small child looking up to her in wonder.

The child looked quite startled as he replied, "911. How come you don't know that?"

"Great." she muttered. "Has anyone seen something about the size of a house that's bluish green and shoots lightning bolts now and then?"

One old lady shook her head and muttered, "Crazy girl..."

"I don't have time for this. Where's some food?" she demanded.

She was off to the inn in about a minute, her escort keeping at least six feet away from her.

Raishiliah made a commotion in the inn. She was hardly ordinary looking. She was pale as a ghost, (or paler) had pale green eyes, light orange hair, and (the strangest of all) a six-foot wingspan of flaming golden wings. She wore a white mage robe with a green cape and carried a knarled wooden staff with a shining rainbow jewel fastened on with two interlocking pieces of wood. They had elven runes on them.
Her robe and cape didn't catch fire, probably because they were fireproof.

"Has anyone got an exploring party? I'm looking for some sort of portal. They're as big as houses, bluish green and shoot lightning." she asked the innkeeper.

As she ate her meal, she found out about Tim's expedition. Afterwards, she got a running start and flew off to see if she could catch up with this 'party'.
