Meanwhile miles away from the farm Blade the Lich was sitting on the ground in a mediative form,He was gathering his thoughts and energy,he thought about going to the farms to raid them, but he knew that William and the Bounty Hunters would be there,He then stood up and flew away to his Small Cottage near the Orc Camp.

Reckless

Postby I Alexander Ohsayu I » Sun Oct 13, 2002 7:32 pm

He ignored Tim's advice to go to the temples, instead deciding to stay and pillage the farm. He knew that his body could take care of itself and would repair itself quickly, thanks to his natural demonic regenerative properties. He quietly followed Tim down to the farms, scraping bits of dried blood off of his undershirt and coat as he did so.

IM: I wonder what that scent was earlier...

He quietly contemplated things to himself as he walked. Absent-mindedly, he brought his hand up to his chest and rubbed the numbness he felt. It had begun to subside and since he wasn't feeling any immediate pain, he figured he was only severely bruised and that his sternum was not broken. The gash in his stomach was now covered by a large, unsightly scab. It also hurt him somewhat to twist his torso left or right. He hadn't noticed it during battle; his battle-lust had overwhelmed his senses.

( Eh.. my character's a halfdemon so its like he's got a minor Regen spell going 24/7.. if that's ok with you guys, anyways. )

"There will be a shirt or something in there, so I can bandage my arm, and clean my sword."

Meanwhile a little closer to the farm.

Blade was useing his magic to build another room to his Cottage,Useing small blades that were about a meter thick he could chop up the logs and build the room,Unfortunatly the blades sometimes flew and hit people or places,One of the blades shot about 1 mile and hit the ground near Alexander.

What the hell?

Postby I Alexander Ohsayu I » Mon Oct 14, 2002 8:58 pm

He looked quizically at the blade that landed on the ground next to him.

IM: What the hell?

He then picked up the blade, careful not to cut his hands, and began to rotate. He began slowly at first, but slowly picked up speed until he was a whirling dervish. Suddenly, he stopped, using the incredible amount of momentum plus his own demonic strength to hurl the blade back where it came from.

(OOC: It's tempting to say the blade crashed back into the house and destroyed it, but I'll leave that up to Koneko. )

(OOC: Ok, I can do that... your character ran back to the city, so I'll just give him a leave of absence for "healing." After which, if things haven't changed, I'll GM control him.)

The flung blade impaled the block of wood that Blade was about to cut, flinging both the blade and dagger a considerable distance.

Which, incidentally, hit a particular dragoon on the head, striking against his helmet like a bell, who said (once his ears had stopped ringing) to his magerly and his theifly friends, "What the heck was that?"

William strode inside a small farmhouse; with a wooden floor, it was relatively empty except for some chairs, tables, and a couple of cupboards.

The stench of decay was overpowering, going throughout the farmhouse, into every nook and cranny.

He followed William in.

He followed William inside, an expression of disgust creeping over his expression. The odor was almost overpowering to his sensitive sense of smell. He had to breath through his mouth to keep from getting nauseous and began to examine the room.

OOC:yeah sure i don't see why not it isn't a closed RPG and it's freestyle.

Angel sat in the temple trying to gather his thoughts. His ribs were bandaged up and his strength depleted just from walking to the temple.

"Hm..." Angel aid as he watched the priest prepare for a prayer service later in the morning.

"Can i help you?" The Preist said as he walked up to Angel with a Merentha Bible in his hands.

"I'm sorry I don't believe in a God." Angel said as he turned his head.

"then what are you doing here?" The Preist said throwng a nasty look at Angel.

"This is the best place to get some peace and quiet." Angel said as he stared down the priest.

"It seems your hurt." The priest said as he broke eye conact with Angel and examined his bandaged ribs. "Let me get that for you, bring your side towards me."

Angel rolled turned towards the priest and exposed his side.

"So why didn't teh doctors just send me to you?" Angel said curiously as the priest laid his hands on ANgel's side.

"Because the doctors don't believe in hand healing, they don't know how it works so they cancel it as a possiblility." The priest said closing his eyes and focusing his energy.

Angel could feel the energy flow back into him, he could move areound freely without pain, he instantly gained his strength and could easily get up out of the pew.

"Hey thanks." Angel said as he looked to the priest collapse from the pain he had recieved from Angel.

Angel stepped over the preist and left the temple adn headed for a small farm land that lead directly into the woods were he would probably disappear from human towns for a long time.

The cupboards revealed a number of cups and plates, basically standard-issue clay dishes. One tea saucer near the back was skillfully painted black with a red insignia on it.

A red spiny creature, featured in a perspective view, and 5-pointed star-in-circle behind it.

Eyeing the teacup...

Postby I Alexander Ohsayu I » Wed Oct 16, 2002 6:52 pm

The insignia on that teacup stuck out like a sore thumb to the hanyou. He swiftly strode over to the tea saucer, his boots making a clicking noise as they impacted the floor each stride.

IM: That's definitely a demonic symbol...

He combined this evidence with the foul smell of decaying meat he noticed earlier and came to a swift conclusion; the farmers were making sacrifices to some demon. It seemed to make sense to him... why else would such powerful beings concern themselves with farmers?

"... Demons. " He spoke aloud, just so his companions would have some idea of what they were dealing with. "I think they are performing sacrifices to this demon..." He said this as he picked up the tea saucer, holding it in the air for everybody to see. He was fairly cautious in picking up this clayware, ready to use his own enormous willpower to reverse any possible demonic possession that might come over him...

Koneko

It's a tea saucer, but I won't mention that...

Postby Koneko » Wed Oct 16, 2002 7:14 pm

Nothing happened. Alexander wasn't possessed by any demon, nor fried to a crisp, or anything else.

Some of Tim's men arrived with wagons for the food. By the bloodstains on them and slight injuries, it looked as though they had had a similar struggle, but far less intense. In fact, judging by the proportion of blood to injury, the battle looked as though it had been somewhat one-sided.

(OOC: Is Vash the Stampede, Lord Shadow by any chance? Judging by the postrank I would say so... please ignore his last post.)

Tim strode inside the farmhouse, to see Alexander holding a tea saucer pained with the red insignia. Such a fragile thing couldn't have survived the combat intact; it couldn't be Alexander's, it must have been from here...

His eyes roved around him, from the dustless and stainless wood floor to the crudely made furniture.

IM: Where is that smell coming from?

Alexander was relieved that the saucer didn't harm him in any way. Now, he began to examine it. The creature amidst the summoning-star depicted on the saucer seemed to be a demon... but then again, he wasn't really sure why anybody would use a tea saucer as an instrument of destruction.

"Maybe there is some sort of secret passage or basement?" He thought aloud, looking to the ground. He began to use his nose, trying to sniff out where the scent of dead meat was the strongest, all the while tapping the floorboards with his feet for hollow noises.

The halfbreed stopped after a few minutes and frowned. He folded his arms and began to contemplate what could possibly be going on here. He looked down to the tea saucer he was still holding.

Grabbing it quickly from Alexander, he examined it thoroughly.

Inspecting the insignia, he said to himself quietly, "Cult of the Slayer? They were wiped out years ago... unless..."

Turning to the others, he said urgently, "We have to get out of here. Now."

Re: -.o

Postby Koneko » Thu Oct 17, 2002 10:37 pm

Unfortunately, something did. The light from the doorway (no windows) suddenly ceased to be, replaced by a complete blackness, and William crashed against an invisible wall of force.

Tim's gave a low curse. The previous battle had been a test, he hypothesized, to see if they were any threat to the cult.

IM: Illusionists, spacial mages, druids, energy wizards; what next?

Tim spoke to Alexander and William, "The Cult of the Slayer was a massive organization over fifteen years ago; a demonic cult, mostly consisting of mages, and this," he held up the painted saucer, and although it was pitch black, they could still see its outline, "was their symbol. The main army of Baron eventually sniffed them out, and we thought we had destroyed them."

Looking around in the blackness, he said, "Apparently we were wrong."

IM: How did this ever come to be?

In the fields, Tim's troops were busy harvesting the grains, and saw nothing out of the ordinary. The small farmhouse that the three had entered was, as far as they could see, still there.

"Darn invisible walls." William said.

"Now what? Another fight yay!" William said sarcasticly, "Well how do we leave?"

"Golem, where is my golem? Maybe I can summon it in here from outside." William thought.

"Golem hear my voice and RETURN!" William yelled hoping the Golem would apear before him.

Angel hot up and brushed himself off hoping they weren't aggressive.

Re: *cough* -_-

Postby Koneko » Fri Oct 18, 2002 3:35 pm

(OOC: Ehh... what? They are inside a building at the time... that made no sense, sorry. BTW, a note to Alexander: I will allow the demonic regeneration, at a slow rate (but still much faster than a human) for physical injuries only. This includes magic, actually, but astral, shadow, holy, etc. spells that don't directly attack the body but instead the spirit cannot be regenerated.)

The golem materialized inside the farmhouse, near William. However, William felt extremely drained, as the golem had actually materialized on top of solid objects; the instinctive removal of a wall at the same time as coming of the golem took an incredible amount of effort.

(William has expended his most MP and can't cast anything more than a couple really simple spells without using his own life force; Alexander's nearly out of TP, i.e. special techniques, and Tim's about at half TP and nearly out of MP as well. But the golem's here.)

The three felt an inertial sensation pressing them downward, as though they had been moving downward and had just stopped, or else had suddenly started moving upward.

There was still no light.

He winced visibly as he felt the strange sensation pulling down on him. He wasn't quite sure what to do... he had never encountered something like this before. His first thought was to look around and seek any means of escape from this room...

IM: There's gotta be a way out of here...

"Ow. Well now what?" William said.

Koneko

Re: ( Ack. )

Postby Koneko » Fri Oct 18, 2002 9:01 pm

(OOC: Well, I'm also counting your numerous double attacks as taking a lesser amount of TP...)

Tim contemplated the saucer. Surely, it was the way to get out of here. Thinking for a moment, he held the saucer high and said, "Tarin!" One word: open.

The insignia glowed red revealing a corridor beyond the door, and a gust of cold wind blew through the farmhouse.

A flicker of wavering light appeared in the distance, far beyond the entryway.

Re: ( Ack. )

Postby Geocsuppi » Fri Oct 18, 2002 9:23 pm

William stood up and looked down the corridor.

"I am going to assume that it will not be that easy to leave here. But if this is the only way to leave, so be it. Golem walk down the corridor." William said hoping that his golem wouldn't be killed by some stupid trap in the corridor.

Re: He watched the golem.

The golem approached the doorway, and walked through, rather anticlimaxically.

As the golem walked down the hallway, torches chained along the hallway burst into flames. Blue, magic flames. Large stones paving the floor, walls and ceiling were revealed, and wooden supports held everything up. Without a doubt, they were underground. Deep underground.

The golem walked unhindered, until it reached a door on the far side. Bright blue light peeped out of the cracks between boards in the massive wooden portal. A faint humming could be heard by the companions down the hall.

And he too, followed the Golem down the hallway, wary of the torches springing up out of nowhere. He didn't like this at all, so he was naturally on high alert to any unfamiliar scents or sounds.
