RedFox smiled, still not having gotten off his hands in the sitting position, and his tail flicked in a sort of wave. "Good morning. Slept well?"

(I am truly sorry, dearest GM, for not posting sooner. I will sincerely try henceforth.)

All they saw of Corantir was his form rushing outside into the woods screaming something about bugs and indigestion.

Miiam perked up his ears as Corantir streaked by. I guess troll cuisine disturbs his constitution....

Shina, staying close to Kilra as much as possible, was somewhat taken aghast by her friend's openness on the sexual level.

Sometimes, older girls can be so WEIRD.

"Fairly well yes..."

And then D and Kilra began to walk up...

"Though getting up was an... interesting experience. How about you?"

D looked at Shada

"It was, wasn't it?"

He grinned wider, and walked in a way that would walk around her if no obstruction was made

"But trust me, it's nothing compared to what happens most of the time in the shrine."

With this, he turned to Red.

"Right, Redman?"

RedFox smiled to Shada, "The grass was nearly unnaturally comfortable. I slept like a kit, thanks for asking."

RedFox was taken aside by Corantir's shouting for a moment, then blinked and realised he was being spoken to. From his lower position he looked up at D and earflicked.

"I'm sorry. What are you talking about, D?"

"I was just telling her how bad things usually are back at the shrine..."

"And it's not always my fault, even!"

Shina smirked, tail twitching.

"If things are bad there, why not move somewhere else?"

Tiredness makes for a lack of post!

Unread postby Besyanteo » Sat Mar 08, 2003 12:57 pm

She wasn't payying attention to D and his obnoxiousness anymore. She was looking at where the sound of Corantir's voice was. She deadpanned:

"... Ya know, if I didn't think he was some overly dramatic hack magician, I'd be tempted to go over and see if I could help."

Her poker face was on, as she walked off to find Miiam. As she was passing by Red though, she gave his shoulder a squeeze, and he would find her thoughts guarded.

RedFox was totally out of it, and growing increasingly impatient.

"If you're talking about lack of peace and damages on 'Lock's property, it's almost always your fault. Not always, but almost."

Shada squeezed his shoulder and he yipped, not sure why. He shrugged and walked off, annoyed now. His ears were folded back and his tail trailed behind him, on the ground. He still didn't realise that he was on all fours. He sighed as he arrived at the riverside, and lay down on his belly, tiredly. He let the flowing water soothe him as his thoughts wandered on other things he considered more important.

Miiam tossed his head. I hope everyone is ready. We should get moving before night fall. That's when the creepy crawlies come out you know.

RedFox politely responded telepathically to Miiam,

"The sooner, the better. Just give me some time to unwind, Miiam."

Kilra looked set to go, frowning slightly since D's pranking had been brought up. She shared Red's opinion, considering blowing up various parts of the Shrine a little extreme for a joke.

... Not to mention the time when D replaced a bag of Red's sugar with a volatile substitute... As if that wasn't enough, he had a large stash of it in a hut, which... one could say that, it went with a bang.

Thankfully, he didn't always do that...

"Um... Yeah, let's get going, now, okay?" he said, with a lot more energy than the previous day: "Don't want to waste any time, that's not a good sign."

"Well, if we're all ready, let's get going then!"

And with that, the drow set off, not looking back to see if anyone had begun to follow her.

D ran in the hut, grabbed the cloak and ran back out.

"Hey, Kilra, wait a moment!" he said, running to catch up with her, looking back at the others.

The nekojin hopped over to Kilra, trying to keep up.

"Hey, why are you running off without us? You're supposed to stay with the group. If you don't, we might get separated and never see you again!"

Not turning her head away from the path ahead, she smirked.

"No point in keeping with the main party if all they do is stand around. And besides, the rest will come running any second now."

6th page and onto Ordana!

Unread postby Nekogami » Tue Mar 11, 2003 8:38 am

Miiam chuckled at Kilra was he walked along. He thought of how full of fire she was. She was correct that the others would come but meanwhile he had a few questions. Kilra....what compels you to do good throughout the land?

w00tage! NINJA w00tage!

Unread postby Jak Snide » Tue Mar 11, 2003 9:05 am

Caught of guard by the question, Kilra slowed slightly, quickly resuming her normal pace. The question provoked thought in her. It was a rare occasion that she actually thought about the why of her actions, beyond the fact that they were for the cause of "goodness." Thinking about it now, the term seemed a little abstract.

Well, truthfully, I grew up reading into the tales of great heroes, and that's what drove me to become one. And if you have the ability to do so, isn't it the moral thing to do to help others in need?

She kept some things to herself. Often it was not the motivation to do good that led her into adventure, but the desire for adventure itself. Opportunities to do good usually presented themselves along the way.

Miiam nodded slowly. So you do good in order to help others and become a hero. I thinks that's honorable enough. So what will fill your heart when you become unable to venture? Will you be satisfied to stay static and do good from there?

Shada, not wanting to be left behind, dashed after Miiam and Kilra, slowing down to match their pace when she had caught up with them.

For the moment, she didn't have anything to say, and just walked along with them.

No sooner that Shada caught up with them had RedFox done so too. Strangely enough, he insists on walking on all fours, still.

"Hardly enough time to think... Ah well, I got more than enough last night, I should survive."

Kilra had taken her time before she replied. To her, the idea of being unable to go adventuring was an absurd idea.

Well, the notion hasn't actually bothered me before. I mean, I'll be fit for adventuring for a few hundred years at least, and with magic healing about, the only thing that could stop me is death itself.

She smiled to herself, a little amused at her own self confidence.

Miiam seemed a little saddened. My Kilra...Don't rely on magic for everything...And even the ancient oak getting on in years suffers. I don't want one day...for you to find yourself in a position of helplessness unprepared. He seemed to grow a little greyer. My strong drow...don't ever forget how strong you are insided and out. It'd hurt my spirit to think one day sadness would hurt you. He sped up his pace and walked a little ahead of them.

Red blinked again, and looked down to his hands which were now acting as front paws. He stopped for a moment, and then got up from the ground, brushing off some dirt from his hands. He then caught up the the group again, trying to look indifferent, though his ears were pointed back and his muzzle was redder than usual.

"Thanks..." He muttered to D.

GMing from D'iberville!

Unread postby Nekogami » Mon Mar 17, 2003 1:56 pm

They're journey was uneventful for the most part. A little rain made the grass wet and slippery as they traveled. Miiam warned them to be careful or they would arrive in Ordana with some embarrassing spot on their bottom.

They sky was still covered in a grey blanket and few birds bothered the sky. It was a dreary journey to Ordana but at last when they saw the buildings of the city they felt relieved.

Miiam paused outside the gate. You all head inside. I'll be waiting for you whenever you feel like continuing. They next city is Aegir City, the final civilization before Poppione's Barrow.

"I don't see where the challenge in the travelling is, though." he grumbled.

...

Then he turned to Kilra and grinned in a less silly and more mischievous way.

"Think we should make the best out of it, eehhh..." he added, grinning wider

This time, Kilra wasn't getting back at D. She was just plain overcome by her wanderlust.

And without another word, she dashed off towards the city, pausing a few steps on to pull her hood up, then running off again.
