Room in our room at PAX!

Unread postby Spleen » Wed Jan 20, 2010 7:02 pm

I am very soon going to book a four-person room for PAX East for me, Darkknight, Christian, and one or more friends. It is currently (like, if I do this right now) $229.00 a night for the three nights we'll have the room. I know at Otakon it is customary to shove in as many people as the physical dimensions of the room can endure, so this is what we poor students are planning to do (and seeking to not get kicked out of the hotel by sheer panache and stealth). SO! If you are interested in joining this endeavor, please tell me and/or Christian (and order your passes very soon, they are apparently on the cusp of running out) and I'll figure out the whole crazy money thing.

He's going to put lye on the pillow mints.

Be on guard, Christian.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Seriously though, pillow mints? You people actually have that? I thought they only had that in movies.

Only the really nice hotels have it. Don't expect to see any at the frickin' Hilton.

A single tear was shed at this revelation. :(

A single salty, lye tasting tear.

Why wasn't this posted in the already-existing PAX topic, so we can consolidate our discussion on the matter? It's even stickied!

To be honest, I posted about getting a ticket bought through someone, but received no reply until I managed to get Idran to get me some tickets, and although I made a post about finding some place to stay (admittedly in my 'going to the Americas thread', I didn't get a response... I don't know why a new thread was made, but I thought local discussion was dead, more or less. :/

I wanted to make CERTAIN that people could AT A GLANCE tell that there was room, just in case someone's browsing the board but doesn't click on the topic. It's fairly important, and I didn't want to get it lost in the general population thread for PAX. What, are you concerned about the bottom thread on the forum that got knocked off to make room for this?

Uh, no, it's just redundant. That's all. No need to get defensive.

I'm not getting defensive! This shield and my force field are both entirely for show.
