All I remember hearing about is that there are apparently incendiary rounds for everything, the game got seriously fucking neutered in Australia, and it has black zombies in it which makes it racist. Because there's no way there would be black zombies if there was a zombieism (zombism?) outbreak in New Orleans.
Anime is kind of like fish in that it is better the less "fishy" it is.

Yeah there's no body part explodin' at all in the Australia version, and things just fall down and vanish when you crack their heads with a guitar.

And it's not like, y'know, black people weren't the FIRST ZOMBIES or anything. Forget hip-hop, jazz, rock and roll... if you want to know what part of black culture REALLY got co-opted by whitey, look no further than your friendly neighborhood animated corpse.

But those zombies sucked, man. They weren't even dead to begin with, and they didn't hunger for the flesh of the living! Nay, they be hardly zombies at all!

And an arquebus is barely a gun, and Pankration is barely mixed martial arts, and Swedish Chef is barely YOU.

Which is patently obvious to anyone who has emoticons turned off. Mmm, disable graphical smileys.
"You haven't told me what I'm looking for."
"Anything that might be of interest to Slitscan. Which is to say, anything that might be of interest to Slitscan's audience. Which is best visualized as a vicious, lazy, profoundly ignorant, perpetually hungry organism craving the warm god-flesh of the anointed. Personally I like to imagine something the size of a baby hippo, the color of a week-old boiled potato, that lives by itself, in the dark, in a double-wide on the outskirts of Topeka. It's covered with eyes and it sweats constantly. The sweat runs into those eyes and makes them sting. It has no mouth, Laney, no genitals, and can only express its mute extremes of murderous rage and infantile desire by changing the channels on a universal remote. Or by voting in presidential elections."

You know, I keep getting tempted to play this, as there are so few co-op multi-player games designed around actual co-op.

But I know I'd just end up being the panicing spaz that gets eaten to death in the first 10 minutes of the movie. =(

I recommend the L4D games, but you really must play it with people you know and can communicate with. Just getting a random group-up is bound to give you grief, and coordinated communications is difficult without speech, although the in-game stuff you can say is useful, if anyone'd ever bother listening. :P

Personally, I'd be the snotty, annoying guy with the strangest penchant for surviving everything the zombies have against me, only to die pathetically close to the ending, either because I turned good-guy, or because I was such a dick the audience wants pay-back.

I'm the slightly obnoxious wisecracker which gives me good longevity, but I almost certainly die before the end. For various reasons, I suspect that I die due to some semi-ironic non-zombie-related accident. I probably survive a massive zombie onslaught then trip and fall down the stairs.

I'm the vaguely ethnic guy who's neither black nor Asian so the director doesn't feel the need, consciously or subconsciously, to make a statement with my death or survival. So, it's actually a little difficult to predict, but I'm pretty sure I'm not far behind Chuck.

But I wear glasses, so I might actually survive a little longer than I would otherwise.

Are you kidding me? Either one of you gets zombified in the beginning, and then you make a weep-story out of it. You die in the very end, sacrificing yourself so the others can live.

Or you go crazy and try to live together with your zombified better half.

Obviously, this requires a zombie boyfriend/girlfriend subgame added to Left 4 Dead. *nod*
