Anyone interested in a light, goofy RP?

Unread postby la_chibi » Mon May 18, 2009 6:58 pm

Hey y'all!

This is something I've tossed for a bit, about doing a silly, light-hearted RP set in either Candyland or doing a mock-up of superheroes. System, if any, will likely be the Window.

A few details:

Candyland: King Candy is missing! As denizens of this confectionary world, it is up to YOU to find him! What is the scheming Lord Licorice up to? Are the Lollipop Woods still safe? And what about Chocolateland, on the horizon? This is based on the board game, with creative liberties taken here and there.

Supervillains, Inc.: As superpowers are becoming more common in the population, there are a rising number of those who don't necessarily want to be heroes, but just want to pay the bills. While officially all superheroes are required to be registered to the government, there are quite a few vigilantes out there. Also, while the government pays very well... government contracts for heroes are few and far between. Many superpowered individuals have thus turned to the private sector. And while being a villain isn't necessarily illegal, depending on what you do.... This is mostly a superpowered spoof, with most people being punchclock villains.

Supercandies: A strange and bizarre fusion of Supervillains and Candyland. Not recommended for anyone above 0 yrs of age.

Whichever gets the most interest will be fleshed out a bit more for board play.

Somehow the concept of punchclock supervillains makes me snicker madly. Thus, it gets my vote.

Well, I'm obviously far too serious a person to be interested in something like this.

ImageImageImage ....

...don't give me that look! >_<

Anyways, I am torn between bastardizing a game from my childhood, and superhero shenanigans =(

At least it sounds like you'll be happy either way! =(

And it's not 'bastardizing'! It's 'malappropriating'!

Sounds like fun either way. I'll vote for the villains, if only because the molasses swamp sounds like it'd be full of the restless uncandied.

I don't like the uncandied. ._.

Looks like the supervillains win the day!

I have to take care of finals and graduation stuff for school, but I'll make another thread for recruitment later. Hopefully, this will be up and running by the end of June.

Aww... I was kind of looking forward to reading about the bastardization or malappropriation of childhood memories. If it weren't closed, I would have voted for it on the spot.
