My ability to CI is severely hampered by my insane schedule. I never have any set days off (save for every third weekend), and I never work morning or evenings consistently. That being said, I DO get my schedule 3 weeks in advance, so if we're really committed to it, we can earmark a midday off week or morning shift for roleplay goodness.

I realize everyone has conflicting schedules for the most part, but I think we all need to consider touching base over AIM again.

Just to be clear here, I'm not saying the RP is bad (it's not), or that the GMing is bad (it's not), or that something's wrong with any of the characters (individually they're all pretty interesting). But something's just not apparently gelling well between all of our characters.

I don't think this'll be fixed unless we have some kinda brainstorming session together. =/

The problem with touching base with one another via instant messenger is that it's not likely to work for the whole group, all at the same time, for the same reasons that prevented this from being a chat based game. I don't see why people can't post about it to this thread. I suppose for the same reasons they're not posting to the RP, whatever those are.

If there's no interest left for this, it would be better for people to just tell me as much.

It's really bizzare. When I think about this logically, I really shouldn't be having the problems I have right now.

Aside from being unable to talk about a certain incident, Dan could talk to anyone really, if I made the effort. He could (try to) ask Annetta about her background. I could have him ask Leothe or Neb why they're going to Baron. I could have him ask Charles or Myrnal to speak privately about personal issues. I could even have him ask Kobakk how he's holding up. Same for Trevor, only about different things, obviously.

But for some reason, I don't 'feel' it unless I'm forcing it. Logically, there really isn't a lack of things I could be having my characters talk about. With most RP's, I read what's going on and a lightbulb goes off in my head for how my characters would want to respond/react. But I'm just not getting that vibe with this RP. I read what's going on and my brain just kinda goes "Meh".

And I just can't figure out what the problem is. The premise isn't bad. The characters aren't boring. But I still just get the "meh" response in my head. =/

The RP is moving slowly. Which makes it hard to get into it. Which makes it hard to post. Which makes the RP move slowly.

Charles: I'm not going to flame and rage and whine about it, I'm just going to say it: You haven't posted in 19 days. Whatever happens to the game, you're not in it anymore. If you haven't had time, then you don't need to be worrying about this game. If you have, then you apparently no longer care about the game and no one's going to tell you you should. Well, I'm not anyway.

As for the rest of you: I'm giving bringing life back to the RP one more shot, and if that fails then I'm going to cancel it. I'm also going to see if I can't offer your characters some better motivation. A GM post will be up soon. Here's hoping we can still have some fun with this thing.

Edit: Posted.

The alarm goes off at seven tomorrow, so I'm headed to bed, but I'll reply to Dave's post when I get up.

Sorry for the delays!

Ok, I'd like to bring this up again now that the party is split into two groups.

How would people feel about chat sessions for each of their sides? I've gotten us way behind, just generally being forgetful about posting or that others have posted and that I need to do so in return.

This is also due, in part, to the fact that the mystery third group is ready to join and I've failed them by not having the RP ready to meet them.

If you're good for this, post your availabilities?

Edit: Also, if anyone isn't feeling this anymore, I'd completely understand. I can make outs for your characters. Better ones than the one Chuck got, honest. No one's said anything about this, but I feel like I should put it out there.

Tuesday - Friday: I start getting ready for work around 3:00, and usually work til about midnight or a bit after, so probably not. =/

Saturday - Maybe if it's before 5:00pm est, but then I work from home. =/

Sunday/Monday - my weekend, as long as I know ahead of time I can probably make it for something.

I'm fine for Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as Saturdays (as long as it's only one of the three and not all of them).

Available for wednesdays and thursdays, work on the other days. If somebody needs to be cut to make scheduling work, I'm probably the logical choice.

I've talked with Shini, I still need to talk to Neb, but it sounds like our tentative setup is as so:

Dave, Neb and Ashley will run earlyish on Saturdays when possible

Shini and Kelne will run on Thursdays, and I'll talk to Dave about me NPCing Trevor for chat sessions.

I did indeed mean the 12th! That's fine.

The 19th, however, I can't, just to get it out of the way.

Neb has some extra hours at work tomorrow, so the Saturday session has been called off for this week.

Also: I'm going to be posting RP reminders here each week from now on. ... If I can remember to do so. Eh heheh.

I may have tabletop session next Saturday, but we'll see. If next week's tabletop session is just cancelled instead of rescheduled to Saturday I should be fine. I'll post when I know.

A bit belated: No session tomorrow. Ashley won't be available due to another game, and I've got work scheduled for the RP time. This isn't going to be a regular thing, it's just lately that I've been working Saturdays. Next week should work out.

As for reschedule, if everyone's free again soon, then sure.

If one more session gets cancelled, we might need to do something different. Another day, switch back to board, something.

Is the Saturday gang the only group with hardcore delays? If we're getting too far behind the others it might be a good idea to just go back to board. It was slow, but it wasn't "nothing for four weeks" slow.

I'm gonna have to agree at this point. Our schedules are just too limited to do this via Chat, I think. =/

Hate to cause more delay (at least if we were planning another chat session tomorrow), but I have a thing tomorrow. I didn't find out until about eleven this evening that I was actually going to be going, but as it turns out I'll likely be gone for the afternoon.

Kelne, what time are you available for one on one chat RP? I'd like to get things out of the way with Leothe soon and then see if I can't pull the RP out of the steaming pile of lazy it and I have been marinating in. >_>;
