No time for arguing! Head for the showdown!

Unread postby Kai » Wed Jul 25, 2007 12:06 am

So. I mentioned to some people that Zea was going to go home.

That's right! The Netherworld! She's bringing some people to help her with research, explore a distant land, and possibly get drunk!

Post here if I talked to you about this and you're still interested. This'll be a board RP, and I haven't decided whether it'll be Philsys or freeform. I'm leaning toward freeform because it's faster and full of epic collaborative justice.

Repondez s'il vous plaît !

I'm interested, but my availability is terribly inconsistent. ... Times after 8 PM are least likely to see me needing to brb and afk and such. Some Fridays will be taken, others won't. Saturdays I'm normally running my Mossflower thing.

That's two, three if I drag James in later (which I will or he'll hate me/Zea forever).

Anyone else interested in hanging out in the Netherworld with a charmingly crazy necromancer?

It's been a while since Ship's been back home!

Let me know if PS Sheets will be needed and I'll draw one up for him.

It's possible for Zea to drag Fal into this were she to care. if nothing else, mind-reading hilarity for the win.

This sounds awesome.

If it's Philsys, I just hope it's a low-level game. Otherwise, hey.

You just know Cerene's up for the exploration of distant lands. Maybe not the research aspect, but hey.

One thing I wanted to mention! I don't really want to GM-GM something unless it becomes painfully necessary. So... this'll be more of the collab style where each of you are welcome (and expected) to take part in creating your character's path through this.

I'm sure most of you know what I mean, but it's generally been the norm (in my experience) to do the One GM: Many Players style. I love that style, but I don't want to do it right now.

Also, if you don't post for a few days and it's your turn, expect me to bug you mercilessly over AIM. Dead and dying RPs make the baby Buddha cry.

Okay, I'm putting up a thread. Once it's up, people should post entrances and all that good stuff. People who expressed interest here are welcome to join, but it's a large group. As a result, if you become inactive and lurk out you'll probably get left behind.

Anyway. *goes to start the thread*

So people. My computer is currently down and I don't expect access to a computer of my own for at least another week.

In the interest of things not stalling completely, would it be possible for someone else to broom us along? I know you guys are kind of relying on me for this sort of thing, but even if you're not used to doing it I would really appreciate a little help right now.

I think Shaun had something planned in a the near future of the thread, but had scads of things to take care of in meatspace. Charles and I have also talked about Things. Brian's not done with clusters until tomorrow, and Bes told me he doesn't have a whole lot planned for the immediate future.

So I guess this request is mainly going to out to Shaun and Charles. Shaun, if things are easing up for you I'd appreciate a hand. If that's not the case yet, it'd be awesome if Charles could pick up for me a bit here.

I'm still interested in this, yeah. I keep waiting for Charles to advance his part of things since it seems to be his 'turn'. Otherwise I'd have thrown in something like "and, x miles and y hours later, event Z occured! Go react to it now!"

The combo of the sudden month or so lack of posts is part of the reason I'm so slow right now, honestly. Its only recently that I've been checking the thread again to catch up. Still not sure what to make of the sudden Plague of Squirrels, and originally intended to have Solis comically wake up at the end of it. Eh. If it can start moving again at decent speed I would be infinitely pleased.

Definitely still interested. Though it seems the party will, given the option, completely bypass Chaz's plot. Silly characters and their priorities...

Yeah, well. I can't seem to get hold of Charles. So whatever.

If I don't hear from him in a day or two, we'll broom past all this and see if it helps us get back on track.

17 hour shift yesterday. And, in general, I needed a break.

I have a new idea for Z happening after X miles. I'm heading back to work right now, but tonight I'll get busy again. Glad to see there's still interest.

If you're going to be unreachable for days and you know beforehand that this is going to be the case (even if you've got a very good reason like the ones you mentioned), you need to let people know. Otherwise all we can think is that you don't give a damn and aren't around.

I hate to sound harsh, but I was ready to call off this RP because this span of plot has killed all pacing. Then I find out that your absence wasn't unexpected and you didn't say anything to warn us.

I have to say, for all your grand talk about wanting to "revive" RPGWW RP, I haven't seen you fulfilling absolutely minimal courtesy in this thread. Please don't do this to us again. If you're going to disappear please don't leave us hanging, particularly when you've offered to take charge of part of the plot.

We'll talk, Ash.

And anyways, I wanna broom, unless anyone's opposed. Gotta go to choir and compose the post, so... let's say seven hours max to get in one last post.

We're never opposed to brooming. We're opposed to the thread dying for days while people disappear without warning.

Just a thought.
