PARANOIA (in search of a player)

There has been much talk lately on the forums about PARANOIA, largely because both Zero and myself have recently purchased the main rulebook. It's also become fairly common knowledge that I've been running two games thereof offline, and if people want to see what it's all about, I can run a briefish scenario online as well.

This would be a chat-style RP, and http://www.paranoia-live.net has a Java-based client, called JParanoia, custom-made with PARANOIA in mind, and endorsed by Famous Game Designers. (Coincidentally, they also have an excellent FAQ section that provides a good base understanding of PARANOIA's setting and procedures.) However, should there be technical and/or personal issues with using JParanoia, AIM will suit just fine.

I'd be looking for four to six players for this (if there is enough interest, we can finagle a seventh). If you are one of these four to six (or seven), then please form a single-file line below this post, and report your times of availability for your service to The Computer. You will be then escorted into HPD&MC for testing. Have a nice day.

Oh hell yes I would be interested in this.

Starting on the 31st I get a new work/school schedule, so good nights for me would be Tuesday, Thursday, and weekend nights if I get word ahead of time to clear my schedule.

I am interested! My availability lays something like the following. Note that my job is to be a desk asshole at a residence hall at my lovely public state university, and while I will have my computer there and generally have the ability to use it, I will be distracted often by people asking for spare room keys and packages, plus there's the danger I'll actually be given an important, time-consuming task that will require 100% of my attention.

Sunday, pretty much all day (work on Sundays is scheduled on a weekly basis), minus some block of time when my friends and I may or may not be going to the gym.
Monday, 6-9 PM at work, 9:30 PM-1:00 AM barring excessive homework
Tuesday, basically after 3:30 PM, again barring excessive homework
Wednesdays are owed to my tabletop D&D 3.5 campaign, however I could POSSIBLY squeeze something in at night (I'd feel guilty because that would mean I'd get NO real work done that day)
Thursdays, 6-9 AM at work (come on, you know you want to keep me company with graveyard-shift RP), then 1:00-6:00 PM barring a nap and then about 8:30-1:00 AM barring any undone work or reading at all (most of my class pay their blackmail on Fridays)
Fridays, 2 PM till dawn (work on Fridays after 6 is scheduled on a weekly basis) unless my friends want to do something fun
Saturdays, pretty much all day (work on Saturdays is scheduled on a weekly basis)

Whoa whoa whoa whooooooa!

Which is to say, my schedule isn't really coherent enough to participate, but I will be requesting logs if the client allows for it.

Sure, depending on the times and my work schedule and such.

As with the rest of you, my schedule also becomes defined with the start of the new school term (i.e., on Monday), but it looks like Saturday and Tuesday nights will be the most conducive to this idea. I shall update this thread if this changes!

I must admit, though, I would like at least one more player. Any takers?

It sure does!

Hokay. So what does everyone think about Saturday, late afternoon/early evening? I'm thinking 5PMish, maybe. Mostly I'm not sure when 'saturday night' starts for Molo, so, Mr. Kidan, what times on Saturday work best for you?

Actually...I was meaning to post this: this quarter has given me an unexpectedly busy schedule, so I won't be able to do this anymore like I had thought earlier. Sorry, everyone...

No sweat, sir. Have a good quarter, then.

Anybody else? I'll run this with four players, but not three.
