Any interest in a Shadowrun campaign?

Unread postby Adrin » Sat Mar 17, 2007 1:55 pm

I have found myself with a great deal of extra time on my hands.

Would anybody be interested in a Shadowrun campaign? And if so, what kind of charactrs would people play?

I may have to get a copy of the rulebook from Shaun after all, at this rate. I'm interested but don't actually know anything about the mechanics of it.

After looking in the rulebook, I'm potentially quite interested.

Also, you surprised? Gunwhore type. XP

I am interested, but have no idea how to get my hands on the rulebook unless someone points me in the right direction...

Fascinating.

KingOfDoma: What's the best way to get ahold of you?

The rest of you--Get ahold of the rulebook, run chargen.

Priority system, low power campaign; nothing with availability above 5 and no skills above 5 without serious backstory justification.

We're going to be playing in Ottawa, UCAS, 2056. (DAGRON NOT PRESIDENT)

Low-power meaning only that, or also the 300-point chargen limit as opposed to standard 400-point?

Sorry!

It would be an SR3 campaign, not an SR4 campaign. (Computer networks should not involve magic, kthxbye.)

Err...I only got the SR4 book in PDF form from Shaun. I'm assuming that's all he has.

...are there still assault rifles available at Availability Rating 5- in SR3?

Yes, you can get an FN-HAR or an AK-97. (Hell, you can get an AK-47 for a sack of corn...)

Note that you may have... problems carrying one of those around.

Right. Still not making Pistol Slinger #65535, though. XP

Assault rifle-toting Rambo #57329 is so much more creative, after all.

Oh, and I'm interested, but I don't know if I'm going to have time and don't have a copy of the rulebook, which seems like it might rule me out. The former might be more of a problem than the latter, ultimately...

Now, now, you're getting the details--the most important things--wrong. "Rambo" implies a high degree hugeness on top of using an assault rifle. This level of hugeness is contradictory to any level of potential "bishounen" that could be in a character. As that would be against my pro-bishounen stance, I obviously would not make Assault Rifle-Toting Rambo #57329.

In other news, I lack a copy of the SR3 rulebook.

I should be online tonight; if interested people IM me, that should work.

As for assault rifle bishounen--realize that there *are* recoil rules and I *will* be enforcing them.

Also, it will probably be play-by-forum, because my online time is often erratic. Is that okay with people, or would they prefer play-by-chat?
