A rock and a hard place

Unread postby Kelne » Wed Oct 26, 2005 8:15 pm

Right. Since I've got a bit of time on my hands now, I'm thinking of running something tomorrow for whoever happens to be online and interested.

This is going to be a one-off "expendarpee", set in a village in the north of Riva. Residents, passers-through, all sorts of characters are welcome. Just don't get too attached to them, because they might not survive the day.

I'll be using a windows-style system, since it's pretty intuitive, and reasonably easy to apply bonuses and penalties to. No character sheets will be necessary, at any rate.

As far as background information goes, the village of Hatrick is a decent-sized one, with around thirty adult residents. They're a bit out of the way, living in the foothills of the mountains, but not completely isolated. They have had trouble with a local band of "dragoons" (read "glorified bandits") from time to time, but so far these have proven amenable to being bought off. Unfortunately, the government's reach simply doesn't extend as far out as Hatrick, so they've been pretty well stuck with the situation.

Kick-off time will be around 8pm eastern, assuming I get enough interest. Any questions, drop me a line or post in the thread.
Centuries of threats of "I'll turn you all to stone!" and "I'll knock you all down!" have caused Domans to develop an instinct to form small groups. For safety, I assure you. – Keir

I'm also expressing an interest in this as it seems to have been delayed due to circumstances. I'll cook something up and post it in my character thread when I get that far.

As Isao said, I've decided to delay things until sometime next week (looking at tuesday at present), as it looks like I haven't really left enough time for people to organise themselves or express an interest.
Centuries of threats of "I'll turn you all to stone!" and "I'll knock you all down!" have caused Domans to develop an instinct to form small groups. Ack. Apologies to all. Schedule changes at work mean I'll have to reschedule this for Thursday.
Centuries of threats of "I'll turn you all to stone!" and "I'll knock you all down!" have caused Domans to develop an instinct to form small groups. For safety, I assure you. – Keir
