RPGWW

This is a story set in the normal RPG World setting, only there are demons... playable characters that are demons. There will be a long, meandering plot, and a fierce war, that may be avoided if you play your cards right. I am looking for four to six players, judging on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to join, post your name, race, and other vital info in this thread. If your character is really bad, or you use terrible spelling and grammar, I may not allow you to play in this RP. If you sign up, you must play it all the way through. Welcome to RPGWW, and congratulations on your first attempt at an RP. My name is Spleen, and I really ought to have made this post the day I saw this topic, but am lazy and too busy playing Kingdom of Loathing.

The first point I ought to make is this: We don't RP in the RPG World (as in the comic) setting. We have our own world, Gaera. In fact, RPGWW is essentially a seperate entity from the RPG World comic - the only things linking the two are the name and a link from one to the other and another back. This doesn't mean, of course, that you can't set an RP in the RPGW universe if you really want to. Go right ahead. I was just making a sidenote.

Secondly, the only things you've given us that any sheds light at all on what this RP will entail are basically "you're all demons" and "there might be a war". Even if you're operating from a well-defined setting (and you aren't, really...all we know of the setting of RPG World is seen in the travels of hero and friends, and they don't go everywhere), we need more information. Where will our characters be starting from? What is their motivation? As demons, are they evil? Will you be using a system, or will this be freestyle?

And thirdly, you shouldn't have to compel the players with death threats to stay with your RP. If you're a good GM, and you're involving the players well, they'll stay. If you're not, and it's not moving, they'll get bored and stop trying.
