=O Thought you all got rid of me, huh? Wrong! I'm back, and I've got a new story concept to pitch. I got the idea after watching War of the Worlds. It's pretty interesting, and I wanna see what you guys think. It's untitled right now.

Earth was disappearing. Literally. Over the past few months, cities everywhere, just... vanishing. L.A., Washington, New York, Tokyo, Paris, London, all gone. There were only a few large cities remaining on the planet, and most of the smaller cities and towns were in a state of panic, and nothing less. As the number of larger cities got smaller and smaller, tiny bands of survivors assembled themselves for a resistance. Whatever it was that was doing this to their planet, they were going to find it.

This is the story of just one of these resistance bands, and how they unravelled the mystery of what was happening to their homeland, and confronted it.

As you can see, there's very little detail here. I want the RPers to add the detail. We'll have a base to start with, and then just build from there. I'm off to make a character specifically for this RP.

I suppose registration is open right now. If there isn't enough support, though, I'll just leave it be.

P.S. RIP, "Islands of Ecestrim"... forever shall ye be missed...

Do you have a plot in mind? Part of the reason Ecestrim had problems was that it wasn't going anywhere. There was no clear goal. Are you going to be gamemastering it, or are the GMly duties going to be distributed to the players? <p>-------------------------

Kai: Well, you were right about Ecestrim. Thing is, everyone was so used to having the story thrown at them that they were hesitant to just go balls to the wind and try something new. Having three or four out of five people doing that isn't going to take anything anywhere.

As for this RP, though, well, I don't exactly have a plot in mind, per se, but there are a variety of things that could be happening. The supernatural, otherworldly beings, someone's secret world domination plan. We'll see who's interested in the idea first, and figure out what we're going to do with it before we begin the RP.

I intend to (for the most part) keep the same system that Ecestrim had going. If not for the ezHack problem, I'm sure we would've at least gotten out of the prison, and then there probably would've been a short standstill while we (the RPers) figured out which character's goals were priority, and such. Then we would've went on, etc. Hell, maybe the villains of our stories could've mixed. I don't know.

After seeing what happened last time, though (the random [and sometimes lengthy] pauses), I won't be hesitant to bring advancement with my hammer of justice. Only if everyone else is going to be so willing to live within a mold, though.

It could work! But I'm hesitent to apply, because as you probably noticed, sometimes I up and vanish unexpectantly for a month. <p>
