The Spirit Hunter (PS series early signup)

Unread postby Divinegon2130 » Sat Jan 24, 2004 7:31 pm

Recently, two men named Mikhais Blackwell and Araguchi Razorfist have discovered a rather old map while cleaning up their shop, the Bladed Scale. This map pinpointed the locations of several artifacts. Upon further research, Mikhais and Araguchi came to a startling conclusion: The artifacts were in fact scrolls capable of summoning massive beasts of destruction.

Mikhais and Araguchi have made up their mind: They are going on a journey to claim the scrolls for Doma City and prevent them from falling into the hands of evildoers. However, they are aware of some of the dangers of trying to get these scrolls - the scrolls are hidden deep in the western part of the Shuman Mountains, and spirits of extreme skill and power guard the scrolls. Even with this, Araguchi wanted to go alone, but Mikhais ran across someone else with potential interest in helping.

With that in mind, Araguchi has grudgingly allowed Mikhais to place posters around Doma inviting people to come along and help them with their mission.

And that's where the rest of us come in. This RP will be run a bit differently than I usually do. I'll be taking a rather big pool of characters at this point in time. Then, for each of the first five major RPs, I'll be deciding an "adventuring party" from that group dependent on who is available at the time and perhaps factors from earlier segments.

I will be taking a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 characters for this entire series. I suggest a character that does not get much use in CI for this.

I have nothing else to say about this right now. If you have questions, feel free to ask me either in here or via AIM.

....oh, almost forgot. Sage is reserved a spot (he hopefully knows with what character) if he wants it.

Other than that, let's see some sign-ups.

I think I'll offer up Nezetta for this.

She'd likely go for multiple reasons, mainly because "She wants to escape those persuing her", but we all know that there's more to it than that, don't we?

I offer either Aaron or Rikk for this endeavor.

Aaron would go out of professional curiosity, Rikk out of a need for adventure and compulsive-heroism syndrome. I leave it up to you to decide which will go, as they both have points against them and points for them...

I'm in. *audience gasps*

I'd like to sign up with Karis, you may or may not have his sheet, but in the event that you don't (which is highly likely) I'll send it to you or something. Just hit me on AIM.

Okay, just writing this for the sake of attending to a couple of things.

Lorr: I'm still undecided on which one to take, but my preliminary choice is Rikkard. Expect a final decision later in the week.

AM: If Karis levelled up from the last time I had the sheet (which was when he was at level 3) then I don't have the recent version of the sheet. If that's the case (another likely) I'll wind up asking in a few days.

He didn't. So the sheet you have is correct, so long as he has 875/1500 EXP.

Er... on-board game, or chat?

If board, I'd like to throw in my lot, though it'll mean a little work making up a char sheet for someone other than Zail. Not that that would be too hard, anyways....

Hate to say this, and I know I missed it earlier, but...

....judging from my previous lack of consistent success with board RPs, this one will be chat.

Oh, nerflets.

Ah, well, you know where to find me if you change your mind.

Or don't you?

Wait, you don't.

Well... I'll keep a look out on this topic, just in case.

Well, I only have four people so far, and I still need more.

If you haven't already signed up, and want to be in this (and can make the times, which I shall discuss in a moment), but don't have a PS character available for it, feel free to make one. (Or PS-ize an existing freestyle character, if you so choose.)

As for times.... well, I plan to start this sometime early in March (I'll post a separate thread when it's time), and here's what my projected availability situation looks like for that, if it helps people to decide whether they can join or not; I'll keep this updated as I learn more. Note that this is not by any means the exact schedule I will be following for the RPs; this is only a guide to the times I'm capable of doing this. If you want to join the RP, it's advised that you be available for at least two of these time spans for a minimum of three hours each, though I will be able to handle it if you're only available for one.

Sundays: Between 5:00 PM and 11:30 PM.
Mondays: Out of the question, due to Tuesday morning class.
Tuesdays and Thursdays: Still unknown to this point, as during March I'm going to be renegotiating my hours for work study. I'll post something when I know for certain what's going on.
Wednesdays: Between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
Fridays: No longer available due to the D&D campaign's timing.
Saturdays: 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM (possible adjustment depending on when my roommate goes to sleep).

I'd be interested in joining this, if you don't mind. I could use either Idran or Greg, probably Greg given your "lack of CI" request. I'm available Wednesdays from 7-10 PM (assuming you do live in Eastern time zone) and all of your other time periods given, most likely including Tuesday and Thursday based on my lack of other plans on those days.

Okay, more details, now that I have some more interest.

First off, who we have so far:

Nezetta
Rikkard
Sarah
Karis
Greg
Rowan (Pervy's moogle)

There are still two, maybe three slots open for this currently. If you have a willing character and can make one or more of the time slots I have placed earlier, please do join.

Second, as I said before, I plan to start this sometime during the first two weeks of March.
