:D There goes the plan to trade in your boat.

A bit of an explanation necessary, perhaps.

While this might in some way originate because of my evil nature (Image ) this is also a part of the plot. :] Please don't hate me for this.

This is fun. Also, I would like to wonder how we're going to pay for lunch.

How many berries = 1 American dollar? Leone only has about twenty-two dollars on him.

Heheh, and I come up with an equally creative solution. :P

And what makes you think I'll hate you for doing what GMs do?

Nick, sorry I didn't give your char time to respond, but I did bait him. (Like giving shineys to a fighter, heheh)

Since Buggy the Pirate had a price of about 10,000 Berries on his head in the manga (Trying to recall here), and most old west criminals had it in the hundreds or thousands, I'm guessing 1 berry = 1 cent or less than, since this is a Japanese comic, and they might want Berries to be like Yen.

The Nine better stand for Nine Billion Berries, because Hal and Raziel combined had to make a pretty gimungous bill.

Uhh, actually, Buggy has a prize on his head for a grand total of 3 million Belli (I'm using the name of the coin from the fantranslated manga), which is pretty much, although by far not as much as a dollar.

Luffy has a reward (at the moment) on 30,000,000 Belli on his head, which is the largest bounty for East Blue.

Let's assume it's one cent. :3

Well, It looks pretty much like Nami's ship she steals, except below deck is filled with barrels, some of which contain a crapload of books. Raziel's not very neat (like all of my atypical bumpkin Characters) so there might be some books he's been reading left out facedown. And as I said, not food.

Also: Never ever ever ever piss off a bumpkin. Since they have so many social lackings, they tend to be insane too.Image

Well, I'm letting this one slip.

I know you'll gladly show off your characters abilities, but while there is no system in this gamer, per se, there are still some loosely-set standards.

You don't DO something in your post against another character (in a conflict that is), you post what you PLAN to do, or what you execute, but the decision whether the attack hits or not is up to the GM.

Look at Nick's RP in the Gaera RPs for example, he's using a simple turn-based system and lets the player declare what they're going to do, he's the one who writes up what happens.

I know you might believe that it's a bit "Trying to prove myself better than players" when Mr Nine pulled a weapon, but I assure you that there IS a reason for his abilities, I'm just not going to tell why. Heck, I hadn't planned to let him show it yet, but...

In either case, back to the RP!

Image I sense a horrible foreboding regarding Thursday and "Obaa-san" What will happen?

I'm sorry that I didn't state the fact of how battle was handled, but in (and if) any future fights it will be done as Nick's RPs.

Frankly, I hadn't expected your character to be such a... how do you say... fight-happy? Insulting?

It probably seems that I'm picking on Raziel, but the reason he's the target for a lot of abuse is because he's CAUSING abuse in the very beginning. He's acting like a pig, so he's getting what he deserves.

As for him hitting Nine in the solar plexus... I stated above about the combat rules, didn't I? Oh well, let's assume that he got the air knocked out of him for a while, but please don't do posts like that again, not only are you making an assumption about how strong the character you're facing is, an assumption based on what you've seen so far (which may or may not be correct), but you're also leaving me with no room to improvise what happens. If you'd writting "Raziel swooped his hand up to smack away the kama, meanwhile shooting another hand at the man's unguarded chest, going for the solar-plexus", things might've turned out the same, might've gotten different, but at least I would've been able to do a follow up for you that made it a bit more interesting.

Also, finally, did I not state that this RP would not be so combat-oriented? I think the fact that Raziel's picking fights with everyone and asking to spar the whole time just doesn't play right with me and my image of the setting. Call it godmoding if you want, I call it GMing.

Firstly, Raziel asked to spar with Hal, not Mr. Nine. Secondly, the whole reason Raziel jumped in front of the advancing crew was to create a distraction until Leone found the ship. I don't recall being "disrespectful" to anyone, I recall turning an "Oh crap" situation into one that worked (Hence, the wallet jacking. I already stated that Raziel has no money.).

I know that's not what the whole disrepect thing was about. Hal bragged about his strength. Raziel decided "Hey, why don't I show what a good captain I am via combat?"

Yes, Raziel doesn't have very many social graces.

I've also never played in any of the forum's world's RPs, but what was he going to do? Unless he's a mass of mist, I hardly think it won't have an effect on him. I also never said he was knocked out. I said he got the wind knocked out of him, yes. Only the most pathetic person in the universe would get knocked out by an elbow to the solar plexus.

And what's all this "Pig" stuff?
pig
n.
(I'm guessing you're not being literal with this, so I'll skip the animal's definition.)

Informal. A person regarded as being piglike, greedy, or gross.
Offensive Slang. Used as a disparaging term for a police officer.
Slang. A member of the social or political establishment, especially one holding sexist or racist views.

I just recall Raziel doing amazingly unusual things without thinking about the consequences. How was he piglike, greedy, or gross? Mr. Nine made an unprovoked attack. I don't recall asking to spar with the resident "Tall, Dark, and Mysterious" Stereotype. It doesn't seem like I'm being the pig here, now does it?

bumpkin

\Bump"kin\, n. [The same word as bumkin, which Cotgrave defines thus: ``Bumkin, Fr. chicambault, the luffe-block, a long and thick piece of wood, whereunto the fore-sayle and sprit-sayle are fastened, when a ship goes by the winde.'' Hence, a clumsy man may easily have been compared to such a block of wood; cf. OD. boomken a little tree. See Boom a pole.] An awkward, heavy country fellow; a clown; a country lout. ``Bashful country bumpkins.'' --W. Irving.

That seems to be a bit more accurate description.

I dunno... since you're quoting here

Quote:

Personality: Raziel would most be at home by himself. He like freedom, and does whatever he wants. He is calm, and often acts as a mirror for someone else to see themselves. When he angers, It almost is as though he’s a whole different person then the calm, quiet, thoughtful person that his enemy saw a moment ago.

I'm terribly sorry if I missed this in the RP, but isn't he supposed to be a calm and collected person unless angered? And what's this with mirroring people, most of the interaction I've seen you've taken the point and told people what to do.

In what way have you mirrored people then? Just an example, because I can't really see it anywhere.

*shrugs* Not that it matters anymore, because the storyline is moving on. I'm sorry if you find this game disappointing, but you're free to leave if you cannot accept my way of GMing, I'm not used to bumpkin characters who act like Raziel does, see it as a fault from my side, but if I were you, I would try to remodel him a bit after your original description because if he keeps acting like he does, I know one crew who's going to go mutiny on his ass faster than he can say "Yo-Ho-Ho"

Damnit, I'm sorry man... I really don't know what to say, I've been reading through my latest post and...

Geez, I can't really give any good excuse for what I've been doing, from now on I'll begin anew, if there's something I get stuck up on, I'll mention it in the OOC and we might be able to talk it through there.

Umm... yeah, you might have noticed there have been no new post from me.

Reason? Windows needs to be reinstalled.

Yes, t´is true, I've recently rebuilt my computer and my harddrives, being generally grumpy bitches, decided they didn't like the change, so they went and overthrew the ruling government and replaced it with Anarchy.

In short, there won't be a post until I can do it tomorrow, at earliest... :<
