Archibald Ancell

Archie hails from the nation of Baron, where he spent a fairly average childhood. Fascinated from a young age by the study of magic, and encouraged in this by his parents, he is particularly interested in the idea of transferring physical objects across planar boundaries, rather than merely energy.

An inveterate tinkerer, Archie has the potential to be either hailed as a genius, or decried as a madman who meddled with Forces Man Was Not Meant to Know Of. That or just muddle along in obscurity.

Personality-wise, Archie is a friendly enough person, if a little introverted. He's prone to day-dreaming, and doesn't quite share other peoples' sense of priorities. This can lead to considerable exasperation on his friends' parts.

While his parents are proud of him, they are a bit concerned by his apparent lack of direction. They therefore suggested he enroll in the MAC, in the hope that it would give him a good grounding for whatever he eventually decided to do with his life.

It's still a bit early to say how well this plan has worked, and while Archie excels at his studies at the academy, he's had to put quite some effort into mastering the basics of battlesuit combat. Although not skilled enough to hold his own in a fight, he can still provide arcane backup in partnership with a tek pilot.

Amelia Jamie McDougal

Daughter of the owners of a waste disposal company, Amelia Jamie McDougal is a peacekeeper.

What kind of peacekeeper, you may ask?

The highly zealotic kind.

You see, Amelia was born into a family that has one member who has the strangest habits of checking on her children every now and then. And her grandchildren. And her great grandchildren. And her great great grandchildren....You get the point. From the day she found she was related to an Archangel, Amelia always knew she was meant for something more than the family business (McDougal Waste Disposal! Your business is our business), and strived to do the right thing, so as to reflect well on both her and her matriarch. Even if it meant blatantly telling someone else they were wrong, and, if nessessary, taking corrective action.

She still has high regard for the law, of course- They are the keepers of the peace. But Amelia knows they could do better. That's why she joined MAC; To lend such a group her 'special touch' when dealing with matters. Of course, her 'special touch' usually ends up breaking things, even if by accident. Still, her great-great-great-great Ect. Grandmother is...Somewhat proud of her, even though she's constantly trying to get Amelia to find more peaceful ways to do the 'right thing'.

Unnaturally short yet quite loud, Amelia takes great offense to her stature. Some suspect that's another reason she joined MAC; it's hard to call someone short when they're stomping on you with a giant robot. She's also got quite a temper about other things. So much as insinuating that SHE of all people would do something generally considered wrong or bad may very well send her into a tirade about how she knows what she's doing and she's related to a Celestial and all that. However, these are prone to be cut short as Amelia has a bit of a problem- She's prone to start daydreaming at just about any time, thus preventing her from moving up in her classes at all whilst the problem persists. It's bad enough that at times, she doesn't even realise she's daydreaming, and thus will make a bit of a fool out of herself.

As far as Celestials go, however, she's...Rather obsessed with them. She believes she'll be one someday, herself- Don't bother with the details that it's highly unlikely, it'll happen anyway. She's gone as far as to design her Tek around them- The Seraph. Large but light, it's mostly white and blue with a pair of 'wings' on the back. Though they obviously don't actually work, they do assist with flight. Along with those, she decks it out with a coupld standard guns and...What she calls her "Seraph's touch.", although it's really just a customized standard sword with a bit of holy scripture carved into it.

Someday, though...Someday, she shall be the greatest warrior for peace and justice Gaera has ever known.

That is, if she can realise she's daydreaming and finish her homework.

Pat Copperhead

Name: Pat Copperhead (her first name's actually Patricia, but she goes by Pat)
Race: Human, Nekojin ancestry (black cat ears)
Class: Machinist

Pat may surprise people once they realize that this short and wiry 'boy' with freckles, curly orange hair, and a pair of 'adorable' black cat ears is actually a GIRL. It's certainly not as if Pat advertises the fact, or that she goes out of her way to dress femininely. On the contrary, she is so much of a tomboy that it's quite easy to forget that she ISN'T one of the boys, even when her gender is known. In fact, she even enhances the illusion with her own form of 'crossdressing', where she'll attend formal events in a suit or tux rather than a dress, claiming that it's more comfortable and mobile.

Besides enjoying messing with people's conceptions of gender in that fashion, she is an avid gamer— and has a tendency of interpreting life as just another game, where a save point is always just out of sight, and where things can be reset at any time. Growing up as a child, she spent much of her time in the local arcade or planted in front of a screen with a bunch of friends, and enjoyed playing make believe and battling at tree forts with the neighbourhood boys. She had a buoyant attitude and basically forced herself into being the leader of the 'good guys' in every game, leading her team on grand adventures against the forces of darkness and early bedtimes.

Of course, there was one game which she particularly enjoyed playing. As a starry-eyed mecha fanatic, Pat would repeatedly bully the boys into pretending they were inside the immense machines (as Pat was a die-hard mechanical junkie), running missions which would range anything from races with additional sound effects to sneaking into inflamed war zones in order to capture a cookie or an opponent's flag.

At first, her parents took her craze as being just that; a craze which would soon pass and be surpassed just like her pirate phase, where she refused to go anywhere without a pirate hat and a loud "YAR!" preceding her entry into a room. Much to their surprise, though, Pat's interest continued, and she eventually joined the MAC Academy.

An increased familiarity with the creations only served to sharpen her interest, especially with the purely mechanical robots. For her own personal 'bot, she designed it with her childish dreams in mind— and for the primary controller, she used a game controller, relying upon her long experience with games and her knowledge of her own mech in order to perform. She also modelled its abilities after her favoured fighting methods in games, tweaking up its agility and mobility so that it could perform martial-arts type movements, with lasers extending from various points to provide long-range strikes and simulate "very cool special combos!" While it has a bit of flying capacity, she uses it primarily to boost jumps.

Overall, she maintains a somewhat reckless attitude; one that's willing to gamble on risky odds and go for long shots in search of the next thrill.

As a few trivia notes, she is a horrible singer, and has been requested to stop singing in the shower. Even so, she nurses dreams of being a karaoke star. She is also a.... not very good cook, though she has an odd affinity for spicy food. Unfortunately, it's so spicy that most would consider it inedible.
