I would definitely be interested in this... seems different, and I remember seeing the thread before. ^^ I think I'll add a character sheet in a bit, when I'm more creative.

Great! To anyone who's interested, as noted in the original topic, keep these characters realistic. They can have 'abilities' but nothing along the lines of psionics, etc

Right, I have interest, but I have to read that original thread first. I'll do that ASAP.

Curse your Sweet Home and it's making me want to be in this.

Name:Chris Okely
age:15
Gender:Male
Height:5"4'
Weight:100 pounds, give or take.
Eye-color:Brown
Hair-color:Black
Abilities:Beyond minimal knowledge of guns and explosives-IE, knowing what not to do with them-and some knowledge of medeival weapons, none to really speak of.
Appearance:Clean, for the most part. His hair's...generally combed, and he's calm. But he's not a big guy. In fact, he seems more malnutritioned than anything else.

History

Sure, the kid seems normal enough. Of course, he was placed in a foster home after a roadside mugging, when both his parents were killed, and he had no real family to be had. He's pretty anxious to leave, though, as he's not the biggest of guys around and doesn't really care for the foster home.

Kay, yeah, it's skimpy right now. I'll probably add on to it later. But first character sheet, ho!

Bwee?

Unread postby SALSAlys » Mon Mar 01, 2004 1:08 pm

Actually mine kopii, this is before 9/11; fall of 1995.

But this prompts me to get my own character sheet out!

Name: Lisa Pham
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Height: 4'11"

Description: A small, slightly-built Korean girl. She has dark skin and short hair, short enough that it barely reaches the nape of her neck. Though she seems tiny, almost delicate, she's a constant blur of motion.

Background: She doesn't remember much of her family, really, as she had been six when removed by social workers. Though she doesn't recall her father, she does have somewhat hazy memories of her mother, as being a warm voice with welcoming arms. In addition, she has a small plush monkey which she usually keeps with her, and still sleeps with; a last gift from her parents. Anyone mocking the monkey will find themselves being summarily kicked and ignored.

Lys is correct. DW will edit his history or else. :(

Also: once I get one-two more people here, I will start up, renewed!

I shall now express interest in this, and shall edit this post later to contain character-y information.

[edit]

Name: Fuller Knox
Age: 12
Height: 4' 9"

Description: dark brown hair, light blue eyes, glasses that are larger than they robably need to be, and a fairly bland wardrobe.

Background: Fuller was raised by his father, as his mother died due to complications at his birth. However, his father blamed him for his mother's death, and barely tolerated his presence. As such, his father felt no shame in "punishing" the kid when he got "out of line" - this generally meant some form of physical pain, and was generally the result of his father percieving "weakness" from the child, and normally this "weakness" was merely any sort of expression of any emotion.

However, Fuller dealt with it as best he could, but when his father was put in prison and he was taken away by scial services at the age of 9, the damage had already been done. No matter the counseling given him, they could not get the boy to express any emotion at all. Originally, he refrained due to fear of his father. Now, it was simply a habit.

When he recieved an invitation to go to Childs Manor, he simply acccepted, with his usual lack of emotion.

Fuller is an intelligent boy, and is most often seen reading. His favourite authors are Samuel Beckett (in the original French, of course) and Tom Stoppard. He also shows great skill at logic games, and has an excellent memory. However, his lack of emotion is only skin deep - if placed in a situation where he has reason to fear for his life, he's likely to latch on to any figure around which could possibly be percieved as maternal, and will likely end up being a hinderance to those around him.
Image
Edited by: [url=http://pub30.ezboard.com/brpgww60462.showUserPublicProfile?gid=flamingdeth>FlamingDeth</A] at: 3/2/04 4:40 pm

Name: Sam Radcliffe
Age: 14 & ¾
Height: 5’8

Description: A tall, pale boy, with blue eyes and long, mousey-blonde hair. He isn’t the most active of kids, spending a lot of his time reading and writing rather than playing sports or doing other sorts of exercise, but he does enjoy long walks, so isn’t entirely unfit.

Background: Sam has been in and out of foster homes for the last six years. He came to America with his parents from England – they died in a car crash soon after arriving. Since he had no living relatives in Britain, he was put into the system and eventually began receiving foster care.

On the face of it, Sam is a pleasant boy, but he has been known for antisocial behaviour in the past – a tendency which has left him and previous foster families unhappy, causing attempts to home him to fail. This behaviour is more often than not directed at his carers, as, though he knows they are trying to help him, he has a deeply rooted resentment of their interference in what should have been the role of his parents.

I'll give these character sheets a lookover when I'm not as concerned with schoolwork.

But from the brief bit I've skimmed, looks fine. RP will be for 'go' in of a day or so.

Update.

Unread postby Endesu » Thu Sep 09, 2004 12:28 pm

OKAY.

Danger is not far off at this point!

I feel I should note that all of the characters (save Chris, lest DW contacts me) have four levels of 'health'. Blue, purple, orange, and red. These represent their levels of health after struggling with particularly troublesome attacks or traps. Blue is the topmost level of ability, purple is somewhat winded but still in good shape, orange is exhausted, and red is near collapse. If your character is in red and suffers an attack or trap, they are dead.

Now! There is a way to 'recharge' health. And that is to sit somewhere quiet and rest. For each two posts that go by from either other RPers or myself, one level of 'health' is restored. This may require a character to split off from the others, which means they may become lost. The mansion, after all, is fairly big! However, that is the risk associated with resting.

As far as traps and attacks go, they will come from random areas and items, depending upon where you enter and what you look at! Have a bad feeling? There's probably something there!

Note that it is possible to hide as well as to pick up items and use them against your stalker! However, there's no guarantee any of that will ever work. So do so at your own risk!

I assume that the colour coded health thing is based off something from the game?

A mind-boggling scenario! The characters aren't desiring to put themselves into a dangerous situation. :(

I'll finally do something tomorrow if no one's posted by then.

Takorou: Look here. It's a word used to refer to everyone: old, young, man, and woman. "Rou-nyaku-nan-nyo". But you would say "rou-nyaku-nan-nyo-nyo". Here's another one. In Italy, there's a region called Bologna. You would say, "Bologna-nyo". In Buddhism, there's a word called "nyorai", but you'd say "nyorai-nyo". Could you stop saying, "nyo"?
Dejiko: No-nyo. I don't plan to stop-nyo. Go somewhere else-nyo.
