Decided that putting it up for critique and advice would be the best idea, instead unleashing him upon an unsuspecting chat rp, which is always a mixed bag in itself. Try and guess which movie gave me the inspiration.

Name: Only wants to be known as Rogers.
Race: Human/Outworlder (Earth)
Age: 20
Height: 5', 4''
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Shortened Black Hair with some blue streaks in it
Occupation: Bard and a Samurai-in-Training
Appearance: Wears an Earth-made Black leather jacket, Blue Jeans, and has been able to get his hands on some more travel-smart boots since he arrived.
Scars, Tattoos, and other defining marks?: Has a scar on his left leg from an old bicycling accident back on "Home".
Items and Weapons: A rock guitar (he awoke with it), and a samurai blade.

------------
Background: Rogers was just a simple person, would spend his nights sitting in his basement, practicing on his guitar. His hopes were to become a guitar legend, like Jimmy Page, Willie Nelson, Slash, and Johnny Cash. Course... he'd been having these same wishes and hopes since he was fifteen. This dream wasn't materializing any time soon.

Disregarding the weather channel's warnings of a "freak electrical storm", since nothing bad ever happens in his town, Rogers drove on down the stretch of country rode that led to the more populated part of his town. Where the bar he was hoping to play at was located. Then something happened.

Rogers doesn't remember much after that... just that when he awoke up... he was in a field, no car in sight. Just him and his guitar.

Suspicious that he may have gotten a bit tanked the night before at the bar and simply wandered off, Rogers tried to find some help. Took him a while but he finally stumbled onto "civilization"...

In that town, it was then that he realized "He wasn't in Kansas anymore" (pun) as a great deal of the inhabitants (besides the obvious medieval look of this town) were elves, dwarves, and even some orcs.

Rogers is primarily concerned with getting home right now.

-Notes:
-Rogers is still learning how to speak the majority language of the people around him, which is Draconic (if memory serves me right).
-Rogers is what Gaerans know as a Bard, though he's considered... a bit "unorthodox".
-Rogers wields the katana blade, which he got from a short friendship with a samurai.
-----------

I know this probably sounds pretty goofy, hell it is in almost every right... but i'm just trying to make it a bit more fun for myself to rp again.

Hmmm...For one thing, it may help to know just where he ended up. It's more likely that he'd pick up Common, I believe, but that depends on where in Gaera he ended up. Also, I really hope you don't mean "Electric" guitar, because otherwise, this guy's going to be sounding pretty shitty without the other stuff he'd need.

He might choose to use a Spellsong instrument instead. They can be made to function much like normal instruments, and even be made to look like them. But they're delicate, and expensive. IM me if you're interested in more details.

About the Samurai that gave him the sword...

How exactly did they meet?
Why did a 'short friendship' cause the Samurai to give Rogers the sword?

Just curious and all.

Especially since Samurai's regard their katana and wakizashi as symbols of their nobility and honor.

Otherwise, I likes the character much, and he seems interesting and fun.
