Philsys Question. AGAIN!

Unread postby Nekogami » Tue Jul 22, 2003 1:11 pm

One of my RPers, Kyle, has the skill Disarm, should I treat it as a non-damage dealing attack or a skill Vs stat thing? I've been treating it as the former.

Fencing skill VS. Stat, I think.

Or at least that seems to make sense to me o_o;

I'd say he has to make an attack roll first. Hit or miss, then roll a skill vs stat thing, and modify his roll by how much he succeeded/failed by. (If he missed by 3 points, -3. If he hit by 7 points, +7).

A skill vs stat combination (DEX/DEX/STR would most likely be the appropriate stat combo in this case) is what I'd use, or else Jak's method if I didn't have a problem with rolling a few extra dice. However, the skill vs. stat combo method will resolve things faster.
