She was always fixated with flight, and being able to do so, she took to acrobatics in her archery, moving gracefully. However, she always longed for one thing: to leave the woods and travel the world. One night, she took off with her meager possessions, out to learn the things her parents ever taught her, the lesson of experiencing life.

Just a note:
She's a winged elf, correct? Most of the time, that means the wings grow out of her back (like faries)?

Then how is she going to wear a backpack without affecting her flying abilities? Especially one big enough to hold a bedroll (amongst other things)?

Wouldn't her long flowing hair get all tangled up in her wings?

And, if this is for Gaera...it's not going to work, without a lot of hammering. Making up species, locations, and the like for one character, with little knowledge of the world, not to mention our community itself just will not work.

Not on the map, there ain't. :(

Also: A winged elf could be an outworlder.

I forgot to mention the it is'nt a backpack in normal terms, it's really like a belt with a medium-sized bag attached to her waist. Therefore, it does'n affect her flying abilities. I'll change what she has too.

She probably is going to be an outworlder, since I know nothing about Gaera anyway.

Said belt would have to be counterbalanced like a saddlebag, mind. Otherwise she'd lean while flying, with tends to lead to spiralling out of control.

An offworlder sounds like a good call, unless you want to create some remote island somewhere. I really don't think that'll screw anything up, in all honesty, and it's as good a way as any to introduce something new to the world. There's no reason to have such an absurdly tight hold on what exists.

Also, no reason to pick the flight/weight mechanics around. In an era of magic, any carrying pouch could be enchanted to weigh practically nothing, so it's a minor detail and shouldn't be criticized so heavily. =P <p>
