Ol' Vips had dug into these new "discoveries" with increased vigor, realizing that potentially any detail on the bodies of the men could hold a hidden gem of information that could lead them to this Val. To Vipsanius, however, the dealings of rival traders mattered little, he was more interested in what he could learn from this conflict. Whoever one was, to him, fairly irrelevant.
So when Dauphin called him again Vipsanius listened as well as he could, finding the man's slow manner of speech infuriatingly time-consuming, and several times he'd started a "Yes, b-" or "I th-" only to realize the man was still talking. INFURIATING!
Finally, with Dauphin having said his little pun (Which he certainly found amusing, yes, but he wasn't going to give him that) he nodded to himself.
"Aha, yes, you are quite right. Although it is a raven in this case but, mmm, we cannot be choosy. Let me begin by giving you an update on the men that I have exhumed for further studies, hah... well, they are all of void-origin, I would imagine... second or third generation overall, the pale hue of their skin does not tell, but bone-structure and musculature does hint. I have discovered several small fractures on some of the men from the falls and such, hinting at a weaker skeleton, myes..." he paced back and forth, "they are not, however, from the same company... or so I would deduct, which renders the question 'common denominator' relevant... I would assume monetary gains, naturally." he chuckled to himself.
"As for the state of the psyber raven..." Vipsanius uncharacteristically scratched at the back of his neck, which gave a wet, yet metallic sound, "I... might be able to recall its path, yes..."
[Tries to recall :O]
