Valentia, being safely behind several people and a duck, didn't want to ruin her cover by rushing full speed at Murray or Larry, and certainly didn't want to just run up and start hitting the giant rock with her piercing weapons. As such, she remain where she was, waiting until there was more of an opening.

(Delay action!)

And so Valentia executed her wise plan. By doing nothing.

(Ali'da!)

Looking around, Ali'da spotted what would look like... a giant golem.

She knew what this meant. Moving to her right, she started to concentrate on her muscles. In such a situation, overpowering a golem sounded like a ridiculous concept.

But what could she do?

(Strength!)

What more to say? The woman called into being an extra-strength time stop spell and summoned a great deal of exercise equipment.

Or maybe she just got really strong really quickly. You never can be completely sure with these things.

(Ali'da gets stronger and is on 15/20 TP. Kobakk!)

Kobakk marveled at the huge stone creature. It had been ... well, never since he'd fought something like that. It would be... an interesting challenge.

He readied his weapon, and lunged at the golem, screaming, "Give me a good fight!"

(Regular old attack.)

Large though it was, the interesting challenge was faster than Kobakk. And the screaming was a pretty nice giveaway, too. His swak buried itself in the dirt as the golem ponderously sidestepped.

(Miss. :( No hexboard change, and Vasquez's turn.)

Still a bit twitchy, slightly bloodsoaked, and just all-around freaked out, Vasquez just stands there, staring in the direction of Virgil in a slightly odd manner. Mainly because he seems to have stopped blinking altogether.

No, wait, there's...no, that was just one eye. Yep, not blinking.

It seemed that the Golem wasn't going to move any time soon. Valentia knew that there was a chance that defeating the summoner would get rid of the Golem. She also knew that as she was running towards it, the thing might very well clothsline her. However, she was willing to take the risk!

As such, she made every effort to run to the other side of Murray, and tried to stab him along the way.

(Attempting to get to the hex directly below Murray, accompanied by as much stabbing as possible.)

Valentia's bold dash was a noble effort! Really, it was. The ground almost blurred under her in this sudden motion, and her feet kicked up lots of dust.

Midway through her charge, she was suddenly aware that the large golem had taken a step to intercept her. As she had expected it to do so, she attempted to skirt around... right before it picked her up, hefted her over its head and threw her straight at Virgil.

Virgil was surprisingly quick to get his daggers out of the way when he saw the pirate fanatic tossed at him. Still, he was kicked backwards by the force of the impact... straight into Ali'da, who fell over.

The three of them lay on the ground. Meanwhile, Virgil and Valentia had bled on each other, and on Ali'da. Quite a lot.

(Golem tosses Valentia into Virgil, resulting in 10 and 11 subdual. Ali'da gets hit by them and takes 3 subdual. Valentia is on 7/66 HP and suffers -4/-4 AT/PA, Virgil is on 19/60 HP and Ali'da is on 57/60 HP. Any of them may get up without much of a problem. Incidentally, it's Ali's turn, and hexboard!)

And thus did Ali'da actually slowly stand up, rubbing her unnaturally whip-shaped arm with her normal one.

"Ooww... What are you... Hmph..."

With this, she looked at the annoying mage... And decided to try her hand at him. Running down, along the sides of the arena, she swung her whip arm, trying to get it past the golem and painfully lash that mage.

Hopefully.

Ali'da was more successful than her predecessor in this endeavor, easily ducking a golem fist and cracking her whip hand at the chaos mage. Unfortunately, he saw her coming from a mile away, raising his staff to block. The result of this? The shapeshifter had a "hand" coiled around the mage's quarterstaff, which she could do what she wanted with. By sheer coincidence, she was probably stronger than him now, should she try to disarm him.

(Ali'da is busy taking names, as she cleanly evades the golem and just misses hitting Murray. She can yank the whip now or whenever she wants before it's his turn again. Hexboard, and Kobakk's turn.)

Kobakk stared at the giant stone beast, his attack making him feel ... very small.

Someday... hopefully soon... I will know if I can live without my dark half.

Today is not that day.

His eyes went red, and then, turned a bloody crimson. His breath quickened, and any sense of civility and reason in him was laid dormant.

The orc let out a roar. He was now more animal than man...

(Berserk, and an attack on ... whoever this turn if allowed!)

Heart pounding, rage overwhelming, Kobakk went for the closest target: the golem right in front of him. With a mighty leap, he swung his swak over his head to cut the construct in twain. It raised its oversize arms to block...

In the end, Kobakk had been forced back to about where he was, ready to continue the attack. However, the golem now sported two lovely stumps, cut off at the elbows, for arms.

(Kobakk does a metric fuckton of damage to the golem. No hexboard change, Vasquez's turn.)

How much is that in Imperial?

Having been fairly exhausted from his various dashings, screamings, and whatnot, he sits where he is, eyes darting to and fro, breathing heavily as he watches for any that wish to "steal his crackers".

Things were not looking good, from Murray's perspective. Not only had three of his companions gotten themselves killed, the idiots! But also his precious golem was faring badly, and that complete dolt Larry was running away from a duck. He shouted across the arena.

"Larry, get your ass in gear, it's a fucking duck! A duck!"

The only response he got was a whimper, and his golem fell over... on top of Ali'da, pinning her and hurting like hell, but also yanking Murray off balance!

And then, it happened. Falchetta felt one of her arms being twisted behind her, locking into the secure and painful position usually inflicted by guards upon resisting criminals. Behind her was the steady face of Larry, and the one running from ducks had disappeared entirely.

There was still at least one more illusionist about.

(Ali'da gets fallen on by a golem, causing 23 damage, putting her at 34/60 including subdual, plus she's pinned and gets -4/-4 AT/PA. Falchetta gets armlocked, which makes Larry the only one she can target, and she gets the same AT/PA penalty. She'll also have to pass a check to spellcast. Hexboard, and it's Virgil's turn.)

Virgil, still bleeding like crazy, makes a mad dash at Murray (which may not even be possible), and through his haze of blood loss he once again exhibits the whirling death that he seems to be so fond of. However, should he not make it to Murray, the Golem would be just as good of a target, albeit for much heavier attacks.

(Not sure if I can make it to Murray- If I can, 6 slashes against Murray. If not, 6 chops against the Golem.)

Virgil's fluffy of strikes was the final nail in the prone golem's coffin, as the deep stabbing and rending deanimated it. Meanwhile, he bled a lot more.

Murray ran like hell again, leaving his staff with Ali'da. He tossed a chaos bolt at Kobakk, which tore into the orc, causing pain and giving the strong odor of skunk.

(Virgil kills the golem, mostly freeing Ali'da. 6 damage from bleeding, putting him at 13/60. Murray runs away again and gives Kobakk some chaos magic he won't forget for 54 damage. He's now at 41/95 HP. Hexboard, and Falchetta can go now.)

"Ahhahh! Lemme go, that's not fair!" Falchetta cried, all the while trying to squirm free of the grasp like the child she was.
