Oleai had followed Kyrie out towards the others, mostly still gaping at the sights as they carried on. When Triya spoke about finding a place to stay, she piped up, "Our horses! Poor things, we left them!" Her hands balling up into fists, upset at the prospect of the horses being abandoned. "Will they be taken care of?" Clearly not the thing to be focusing on right now, but for the Plainsrunner it was just as vital as tracking Null.

At the mention of the horses being taken care of, Rasmus brightened up.

"I'll tell my family to take care've 'em!" Then, with a sly grin, added, "If you'll take care of me. Their food isn't free, and neither is mine."

As Rasmus proposes his deal, a draconic Skydock worker gently leads Spitter out of the cargo bay and over to Red, being sure to stay well clear of her beak area. Or really, anywhere in her general frontal cone. After detaching the security harness and reissuing any remaining Spitter-related gear to Red, the dockworker quickly makes his way off, again staying well clear of Spitter's front. A few more continue to load and unload the ship, as Biggs and the nameless girl occasionally make appearances to either sign paperwork or assist in the loading or unloading.

For the most part, the dock has quieted after the arrival of the ship, with only a few workers milling around, and a few significantly smaller ships-- Likely personal ships of some of the locals-- Arrive and depart. Though there are a few Clockwork around, identified like Calamity by their odd, clunky boots and gauntlets, along with their cloaks and coverings. A few dragons, as well, but not much else...Other than a human girl, maybe a little older than Stray (was?)

She's snooping around the cargo unloading areas, moving from dock to dock, taking a glance at the goods to be loaded into the ships as they arrive. Though human, her clothes aren't like anything the group's seen in Wells or any other human nation- A baggy black shirt with a cloak's hood attached, and a large pocket in the front that her hands are stuffed into. Her pants look like blue burlap, though thicker and not so scratchy, with metal studs and bits here and there. A couple locks of true-red hair dangle out from under the hood, in front of the girl's face.

The most notable things about her is her face. Standing out against a pale complexion is an odd black mask fitting perfectly around the orbit of her eyes, seemingly molded to the shape of her face to fit perfectly around her strangely vivid green eyes.

Though she's minding her own business for now, she does occasionally look over at the group...Or more accurately, the cargo they're standing next to.

Oleai tilted her head as Rasmus gave his counteroffer. Mouth a little agape before he finished his statement and she responded, "O.. Oh! Well, uhm, sure! I didn't bring much, but you're welcome to share my food if you can send a letter home or something." She nodded and gave a smile before being distracted by the docking ship.

Eyes panning over the crowd, stopping briefly on the out-of-place human girl, "There are so many strange things here! I want to see all of it! Like, look at her cloths? Isn't that silly?" Oleai hadn't seen enough of the world to know the girl's outfit would be out of place anywhere - not just here.

Kyrie stays out of the horse talk for now, not having much of a feeling on the matter either way. With a light smirk, she looks over towards the human Oleai's picked out, glancing her over with a low voice. "Just don't say that sort of thing loud enough for someone to hear, Oleai; some people wouldn't much enjoy being called 'silly'." She catches her eye for just a moment before the girl looks again away, her ears perking with curiosity. "Although...is it just me, or is she watching us?"

The girl begins to busy herself rooting around in a shipment to be sent out that's currently unwatched. Every now and then, she stops, looking back up to the group before going back to her rummaging.

Eventually she pulls something from it, clandestinely putting it into her jacket pocket, before she begins to walk towards the group. Slowly at first, keeping a cautious eye on them, before she passes, beginning to speed up. As she reaches the entrance to the docking area, she's almost in a full out run, occasionally looking back at the group.

Triya observed the rather blatant theft in front of several watching people with an expression of sheer disbelief at the thief's audacity.

"Sana, if you could bring her back?" she asked, waving a hand at the retreating girl.

"No, not going to happen," the djinn said, waggling a stern finger at her nominal master, "It just wouldn't be fair. Besides, the chase will do you good," she concluded in her best imitation of a wise elder.

"All right. Oleai?" Triya asked, turning her attention to the next person able to put a halt to her quarry's flight. Just in case the answer to that was also no, she did start to give chase, moving at a fairly respectable clip. She was less than confident. The girl had a bit of a head start, and no doubt knew the city better than she did. Still, she intended to make a serious attempt at catching her.

Oleai nodded to Kyrie, "Oh, I'm sorry. Hehehe, sometimes my thoughts just come out, you know!" She smiled, as Triya and Sana drew attention to the small thief.

She grinned, this was going to be fun. This would remind her of the shop, her second psuedo home. Thieves were always so fun to chase.

With a quick nod to Triya, "You got it! Get me a room, and some vegetable soup!" she called back as she broke away from the rest of the party. Before long, the long-legged Plainsrunner hit about half-stride and was gone from sight.

Through the dense dock areas, Oleai began to pick up speed. A blur with long ears and puffy tail, tambourine jangling loudly on her hip. "Heeey!" She called out toward the thief, "I'm new here this isn't really fair!" Though her voice was more amused than accusatory. No doubt drawing more than a little attention as she weaved through crowds. At one point leaping over a shipping crate and its carriers entirely to shortcut toward the running child.

"You're pretty fast!" She fired a compliment amidst a giggle, "Buuuuut~"

As they reach a straight-away, Oleai leaps a few feet into the air as her hands shoot forward; reaching her power past the girl to call a sharp gust of wind backward. Trying to run full speed into a gust of wind strong enough to topple someone should prove a challenge! Or at least Oleai hoped it would.

Oleai follows the girl through the crowded streets immediately outside the Skydocks. Countless Dragons in their humanoid form go about their business, ignoring the girl dodging between them and continue to do their business. The girl ducks down a street full of open air vendors of scrap and various devices. Despite the altitude and rainy weather, the city is extremely warm thanks to numerous steam vents jutting up along the streets, releasing hot, muggy air from below the city. Oleai has little trouble keeping up with the girl, thanks to her powerful Plainsrunner legs, though she has some issue as far as sheer size is concerned. Finally, she sets her magic to work, using her wind magic to blow the child back.

As the wind picks up, the girl leans into it, running even harder--If nothing else, this girl's stamina is incredible. But as she realizes she's not making any progress, she calls out loudly:

"El!"

For a moment, there's nothing. Then, from one of the flat rooftops overhead, another girl who's dressed remarkably similar to the first jumps down. She hits the ground, falling into a perfect summersault, before rolling to her feet, sprinting sideways across the street and snatching up whatever her twin had taken from the docks, then continuing to run into the nearby alleyway.

Meanwhile, the first twin just continues to run like mad against the wind.

Triya had started out behind and had lost some ground, what with the crowds. Still, she had managed to keep the pair in sight, and the wind gave her the opportunity to close the distance. As a result, she was in a position to see the hand-off and alter her course to give chase to this second child. The gap to the new child had shrunk considerably as she darted down the alley.

The alleyway, at least, held fewer people, allowing her to pick up the pace a bit. The kid was quick and agile, but then so was she, and her longer legs (if not as long as Oleai's) ought to give her a chance to close the distance. Unfortunately, her repertoire of spells was aimed towards self-defense or the binding or dismissal of supernatural entities, which was going to make bringing the chase to an end more difficult. Still, she was no slouch in the athletic department.

Oleai, in her excitement, didn't quite notice the handoff. She saw the other child, but was too focused on subduing the first to bother with the second.

Thankfully Triya was on her tail! Oleai continued to advance as she maintained her magic, to close the distance before trying to nab the little squirt by the collar and arm. "Hey! What do you think you're up to, huh?" She was still half-laughing at the excitement.

Triya: Triya follows the girl into the allway, and it is indeed rather abandoned. Luckily for Triya, it comes to a dead end! The girl looks at the stone wall blocking her path, then at Triya for a moment, before smiling politely.

"I'm sorry ya've had t' chase me sister an' I so far without nothin' to show for it, but we really gotta be gettin' back."

She dashes forward and, with a single bound, leaps onto a large crate at least a foot taller than her. She then hunches down, before springing up more than twice her body length, landing gracefully on rooftop above. She gives Triya a short wave, before disappearing over the lip.

Oleai: The original girl looks at Oleai flatly. "I'll have y'know, yer interferin' with matters'a global import!"

Up above, Kyrie waits in the shadows on the roof. After the appearance of the little thief, and Oleai's burst of speed afterwards, she'd told Stray to sit quiet for a bit and slipped off to the roofs herself, running alongside the street and keeping watch on the goings-on below, well-curious why this girl would have been so interested in keeping away from their number.

She watched below with amusement as Oleai enjoyed herself in the chase, careful to keep out of sight in her silent rooftop run when she spotted the second girl across the street darting down to take their loot. After the hand-off, she'd changed path, keeping along her and Triya and letting Oleai keep with the first. And after the stop, she waited, hearing just snatches of her bragging below. Readying herself to dart off again, she hadn't exactly expected the ultra-leap from the kid; that certainly took her well by surprise.

But holding her composure, she keeps quiet now, slipping up as the kid turns back from the edge. And once she's up and over, Kyrie speaks up, still keeping in the shadows.

"Interesting trick. Got some plainsrunner blood in you or something, kid?"

Kyrie: "Nah." The girl says. "Jus' really strong legs."

The girl shoots off along the rooftops, heading deeper into the city!

Meanwhile, Rasmus stands at the dock, staring in the direction the others dashed off toward with a mild frown etched into his features. Certainly, he may have been a highly capable almost-adult in many respects, but chasing a target in a crowded city was not his forte.

Rasmus glanced at the others still there at the dock. "So.. figure we should look for an inn?"

Oh, no. Triya was not standing for this. She might not be the leaper the girl was, but then she didn't need to be. All she needed to do was get a grip on the rooftop and haul herself up. Which she did, following the girl's example of using the crate as a stepping block.

Of course, by the time she'd hauled herself up, she'd lost ground again. There had to be a smarter way of going about this, she reflected, spotting both he girl and Kyrie in short order. If only she could figure out where the girl was going and head her off. Alas, that seemed unlikely, since she didn't know the city. Still, perhaps an opportunity would present itself. For now, she took up the chase again.

Oleai took a quick peek around, addressing any on-lookers quickly before dealing with the first runner, "Sorry for the scene, everyone! Ran off without finishing her work!" Assuming Oleai had hold of the girl at this point, her voice would lower as she begins to drag her back to the dock area where she believes most of her party was waiting.

"So what was that all about, huh? I'll have you know thieves and I don't get along and that would be an awful shame because I'm been told many times I'm a good person to get along with. Now c'mon." She nodded matter-of-factly, leaving her question there for the girl as she marched.

"You can just call me Oleai too, spygart sounds gross. Like some kind of secret custard. Now what was this about global stuff?"

Yup.

"I wonder if The Third Wish is still in business," Sana remarked thoughtfully at the mention of an inn, "It's been a while since I checked. Good accommodation, but definitely on the upmarket side. The story behind the name's pretty much what you'd expect. Let's go and see how the old place is getting on. Come along," she said decisively, leading the way confidently into the city, seemingly familiar with the various twists and turns of the streets. Well, somewhat. Sana did wind up giving a couple of obstructions an accusatory stare for their insolence in having been built in her path.

Continuing to lead the child back to the dock, Oleai question:

"So, what was that thing, huh? May as well tell me now! I got'cha fair and square. Well, I got'cha square anyway. OH HEY SANA!" They had finally gotten near enough to the docks to actually encounter the remaining party as they were led into the city. "Where's everyone else, huh? This girl was about to tell me a story. I caught 'er. Yup." She took a quick look around for her friend, "Where's Kyrie?" Still holding the child by the scruff and arm.

"Sana Pradi. My card," Sana announced, clicking her fingers and handing the girl a small card which had just popped into existence. It had a fancy border and provided both her name and an address somewhere in Partia.

"These are Oleai, Rasmus and Stray," she went on, indicating each in turn, "And Red, who seems to be hovering about. And yourself?"

"Me? I'm...Leavin'!"

The girl twists in a way that could probably be described as uncomfortable looking at best, whipping out her arm suddenly and bringing it down in a chopping motion onto Oleai's elbow--And Oleai quickly finds that she's lost the feeling in her hand, as if her entire arm's fallen asleep! The kid twists, whipping around again and spinning away from Oleai, before ducking once again into a nearby alleyway. "Later, Chumptopusses!"

"What kind of name is Lea~- AH!" Quickly grabbing her elbow to try and squeeze feeling back into it, Oleai is spun around by the sudden movement, losing the child momentarily. At least enough time for her to vanish into the alley.

"Oh! You!" Oleai fumed, rolling her shoulder as the numbness started to die down a little. "I'm not going to play nice!" She sounded somewhat less amused this time around! Starting to chase after the child once more - unless halted!

Back up top on the roofs, Kyrie chases after the other kid alongside Triya, scowling at her ridiculous speed and stamina. Not seeing any good way to run her down direct, and not eager to try pinning a kid on the run the next time she scrambles up a building, she decides a different tack to take.

Keeping her voice low, she gives Triya a quick glance. "Wide street coming up; don't think even she could jump it. You go left, I'll go right. I'll get ready to jump after her if she tries going down."

Nodding, Triya set off on the leftward tangent, determined to get into position to block the girl's path. She was pretty sure she ought to be able to block her escape. It wasn't exactly easy going, considering the frequent need to clamber up or down some obstruction. Not to mention the occasional hair-raising leap across a gap she could just barely clear. But after all this trouble, she wasn't going to abandon the chase.

The twins run deeper into the city, keeping pace with one another despite the uneven nature of the roofs they're running on. Every so often they're forced down by wider streets and alleys blocking their path, though they're not horribly slowed by it as they vault, spring, and bounce off of awnings, uneven bricks, and poles. Every so often, their paths cross and they hand off their stolen(?) prize...Sometimes. Other times, they exchange something else entirely. Others, they only make it appear as if they did. Finally, they stop using the rooftops, sticking only to the street level...Which might have worked out better for them from the start. They have no trouble getting through the thick crowds of dragons, dodging between them effortlessly. At times, it seems as if they're even slowing down to make sure they don't get too far away from their pursuers. They seem to even go out of their way to make a bigger show of their escape than it really needs to be, with the first sliding under a cart for absolutely no reason...

...Twice.

Finally, several minutes after the chase began, they stop, mirroring a simple wave, before breaking off in two different directions again; the first down yet another alleyway, and the second into a nearby building: "Greenskin's Machinery"

(Up to you if you've been chasing them this long, but I'd KIND OF LIKE TO GET EVERYONE IN ONE PLACE AGAIN. IF someone could help me out (Or just broom yourselves), that'd be nice.)

Kyrie stands at the corner nearby where the two have split off again, sighing and a bit exhausted (and slightly bruised) after the events of the last few minutes. Glaring at the two, she glances about to whoever else in their party happens to be nearby. "I'm starting to get the feeling they want us to chase them. Is anyone else starting to feel the same?"

"I think they have been since the beginning," Triya said, looking decidedly battered and fed up herself, "They were pretty open about the theft. I don't think we're going to catch them anyway, so we may as well stop and see what they do in response." It might well be that they'd simply stop toying with them and make good their escape, but at the moment, she felt she could live with that.

As it turned out, it wasn't long before Sana and those accompanying her on her quest for accommodation caught up, having taken a somewhat more direct, less obstacle-laden route. "No luck, eh?" Sana asked, sounding decidedly amused by the whole affair.

Red broke into a wide grin when Spitter was led out of the hold, and the bird in turn squawked happily and fluttered her wings at the sight of her elf, immediately barging towards her as much as she could. Spitter made the occasional sound of irritation and flicked her head back when the draconic dockworker, holding the leash they'd managed to hook onto to the seemingly randomly placed straps that made up some sort of harness around the razorbeak's abdomen, wouldn't quite keep up. The dockworker was able to keep from being dragged by spreading his own wings a bit to steady himself, but still could only pretend he was in control of the situation, and detached the leash with more than a little relief as Red darted up to wrap her arms around her razorbeak's neck and ruffle her feathers.

Spitter gave another merry squawk and nuzzled Red's hair with her beak. Despite both of them being decidedly undersized for their respective races, Red and Spitter looked perfectly proportioned next to each other. While Red started checking over the straps and loops of Spitter's harness, the bird's head craned back as she made soft noises that were not quite gulping, her gullet visibly bobbing. While one or two of the warily observant dockworkers paused to watch, thinking the beast was in distress, Red seemed totally unconcerned.

Content that no one had tampered with Spitter's saddle or rigging, Red skipped around to the front of the bird just as it dipped its head forward. She cupped her hands under Spitter's beak just in time for a regurgitated chunk of undigested pork to drop into her palms with a meaty smack. Red nuzzled Spitter's dangerously curved beak and offered a remarkably unsarcastic, "Thanks, sweetie. Guess they're not complete jerkbags if they fed you right." The razorbeak gave a gurgling squawk. "Well yeah, just not TOTAL."

Meanwhile, a bunch of stuff was happening that she didn't really care about, always given to sympathize with the troublemakers in any pursuit. Her entire reaction to those who took off after the thieves was to smirk at Rasmus with the comment, "Oh, you're that sort of bunch, huh?" She then tore a bite of Spitter's offering off with her teeth and chewed at it for a moment before she saw a customs agent and headed in his direction, waving her meat overhead for attention, so she could register her bird's presence with the locals so Kokoniel's aerial defenders wouldn't get all weird and shooty about her flying around unsupervised.

Oleai had rejoined the chase, of course! But as the road split and Kyrie (Whom she encountered during said chase) slowed to a halt - Oleai took that as a cue and slowed herself. Hands on her hips, it took only a few concentrated breaths before she had her air back. (Perhaps magically aided? Oh ho.)

She then nodded to Triya, "Okay! Well, Uhm.. lead on, then! Where do we go now, huh?"

"I don't know. You were the ones chasing them. What'd they steal, anyway?" Rasmus strolled along, elbow up in the air while he stretched. As running wasn't his strong suit and nobody had told him to hit anything yet, he barely seemed engaged with what was going on, even now.

"I have no idea," Triya said, "Just that they snatched it right under our noses," She sighed, looking balefully at the building one of the twins had run into.

"Well, I was going to suggest we stay here," Sana said, indicating the Greenskin's Machinery building, "Only I don't think it's an inn anymore. Still, it'll be interesting to see what they've done with the place." So saying, she sauntered inside, looking about with interest.

Triya shrugged, "One of them did go in there," she observed, apparently prepared to have a last look before letting the matter drop. Accordingly, she followed in Sana's wake.

Kyrie takes a look over the Greenskin's Machinery building as she follows behind Triya, glancing to Rasmus along the way. "That, and that they seemed to be really interested in getting away from us in particular after snatching it. Then again, suppose it could just be a couple of kids screwing with us for laughs." After a bit, she glances around in concern. "Did Stray come along with you, Rasmus?"

Red finished tying a series of color-coded identification ribbons to Spitter's harness just as passengers began to disembark at the next dock over. Among the mostly Wellsian arrivals was a detachment of Dragoons, and upon spotting them Red decided it was definitely time to get lost in the city proper. Spitter picked up on her wariness and its cause and both bird and elf turned away from the new arrivals, but their intent to slink away hit a bump when they saw what was behind them.

The funny-smelling, bandaged Nekana kitten who'd been Spitter's accidental playmate in the cargo hold was staying put as she'd been told, but while Red was bribing smooth-talking customs the rest of the hitchhikers from the ship had apparently wandered off.

Spitter and Red's heads cocked in unison as they looked at each other, Stray, then each other again. Red sighed and tromped towards her, signaling for Spitter to follow. "Okay squirt, which way did your grown-ups go?"
