Verios let out a sigh as he watched the now almost packed thieves guild bustling with activity. Being as how it was night most of the thieves were here still. But either way, he did not really care. He felt tired still and laid his head down on his arms glad he could still manage to sleep.......

So Ethra made her way into the forest. As she finished dispacthing the first wolf that had tried to attack her another thought came to mind.

So did you let Verios die?

Alyrra glanced about at the others, fingers rubbing over her quarterstaff gently. She wasn't sure of what to do, and watched the more experienced players, hoping to take a cue from them as to what had to be done.

Reht shrugged, waving Kite off. "Just let people know you're coming. Sorune and Men'drakk'ar are back at the campsite. I have my doubts as to Ethra's coming back. If you want in on this shindig, now's the time. We'll be making final arrangements soon. That's all."
He turned and began walking back to the campsite. When he arrived, he looked to Sorune for direction. After all, he was the boss. He didn't notice of Kite or Alyrra had followed.
"So, druid, what's the plan now? You're still in charge of this adventure. Do we wait for the Watchers? Or for Verios to make a move?"

Men'drakk'ar shifted slightly to face the others.

'We must do all we can to find Verios. We need not confront him - I do not believe we are ready for that. But at least if we know where he is we can keep an eye on him.'

Saori let out a sigh as she slowly opened her office door waving to the watcher who had been placed outside. "You may go now, I can handle just walking around the city."

The watcher looked at Saori but nodded, after all she was the boss right now. "Just be careful Ma'am."

Saori nodded back to him as she stepped outside onto the night streets, it was midnight real time and now was when the thieves would start acting up. She slowly began to patrol the streets waiting for a thief to show.

Verios walked silently along the road of a abandoned town, his spear clutched tightly in his right hand. The town was familiar, somehow... It was odd, but he knew he had been here before. He paused as he saw a group of figures fighting against a large hoard of skeletons. He continued his slow pace but paused when he saw a skeleton strike down one of the many players that were huddling together fighting the onslaught.

Normally, a skeleton was no problem at all. Even for the lower level players. But this one had taken down a... no.. not a player, a watcher! With a single blow from his sword no less! Verios then looked up to the sky, speeding up his pace as he began to run.

Overhead of the watchers was a large green shapeless form, he took note of it when the watcher was struck down. His body vanished normally, but small data fragments from his disappearing body had raised up into the form.

He now was in a sprint as he watcher three more watchers fall leaving only 4 left. He arrived into the hoard surrounding them slashing them aside with ease. His spear glowing red and cutting them like they were nothing. He made his way to the watchers and paused as he saw Saori leading them. He stepped back as she made eye contact with him and yelled something. He replied with a few words as he hacked away at some more skeletons.

The last 3 regular watchers attempted to cut a path forward, Saori pointing at them and yelling again. They paused but too late as 8 skeletons attacked them all at once disconnecting every last one of them. The fragments of data slowly raised to the form as it began to take shape, it shot out a blue line at Saori..................

Verios woke up in a heavy sweat looking about in a panic, he noticed his whereabouts and calmed down some breathing heavily.

"A dream.... It was a dream...?" He paused for the first time, questioning this power he was given. "I can dream... here?" He then shook his head slowly trying to get rid of the dream. "Why was Saori in it... and... he paused and placed a hand on his spear. "I mustn't think of such things..." He let out a sigh as he leaned on his arms once more....

"Well we are deciding what to do about Verios." Kite said as he walked. He had forgoten about making sure to make noise, so much that now he made only trace amounts of noise.

"Alright. Unless Ethra comes back, we need to ask any local thieves about the thieves guild. Perhaps one of those people we met in the cave was one. But I will be going, to keep an eye on Verios. Perhaps even try to convince him about a few things...." Sorune said this quietly. He was still full of doubt.

Reht listened to Sorune's plan, and nodded. "OK, here's the plan. I'll take Alyrra and try to get some leads from my friends in the thieves guild. Men'drakk'ar, take Kite and Ethra and see if you can get any information off the street. If anyone comes up with anything, we meet back at the main square in Regs in four hours. Any questions?"

Before Reht set off, he took Men'drakk'ar aside. "Be careful with those two. I'm not entirely sure we can rely on them. They're strong enough to cause trouble, that's why I'm sending them with you. I don't mean to make you play baby sitter, but just try to keep them out of trouble. I know some contacts deep in the guild, I'll be going to talk with them."

It was two hours later. Reht and Alyrra had spent considerable amount of time working their way through the innards of the Thieves Guild. Reht had pulled in favors left and right, and was now running very low on capitol to draw on. But he had made it to the office he had hoped to reach.
As the two of them sat waiting Reht leaned back in his chair and plunked his pipe between his teeth. It was empty, but Reht didn't seem to notice.
The waiting area was spare, and fairly large. Reht snorted. "All underworld kingpins are the same. Make you wait even though they don't have anything better to do." Reht shot his companion a glance. "Bet you didn't expect to have this much excitement your first day on, did you?"

Kite reached the log in platform and quickly said, "Regs."

He appeared in Regs and ran over to the street with the thieves guild. He calmly walked by the ally that connected to the guild. With one quick move Kite yanked himself into the ally and into the guild. He calmly walked up to the counter and ordered a beer.

"Only one," the bar tender asked.

"Sorry... I'm on a quest tonight," Kite replyed.

Kite picked up the beer and took a drink.

"Bar tender, I have a question." Kite said after putting down his beer.

"I might have an answer."

"Have you seen Verios around here latly?"

[OOC: I don't know how much control I can have so I'll let the GM post the Bar Tender's reply.]

Alyrra shook her head, cheeks slightly flushed and her eyes bright. "It's.... well, I'm not exactly glad about it, but... this is an experience." She couldn't manage the words, fingers clutching at the air in an effort to convey her meaning. "And it's interesting, at least. How often do you get called in on things like this?"

The tender motioned over to a table in the middle of the guild area where Verios sat, his arms folded spear leaning on the table....

Reht shrugged. "Not that often. I go where there's money, and there's rarely much, monitarily, to be said for quests of this scale. I admit I joined because Sorune was paying me. But now, this whole situation has me intrigued. What about you? You in this for fun? Profit? Random experience?"
