Silvie begins to punch away large chunks of ice! It'll take a while, but she'll eventually get through to the cruisers...

Emmy rises above the wall- A good 12 feet high- And though she doesn't see anything on her sensors...She hears a motorcycle darting around the area. A loud one, probably modified to be able to support extra weight.

Enzo finds nothing unusual about the room, other than the fact it's full of old parts and junk.

Yeah, I think it's Ettezan, Emily sent, She's picked up another motorbike. Not that Emily was going to be content with that. She moved to interceptthe engine noise and perhaps get more information.

What the fuck? Freezing people alive? That didn't seem like the Ettezan Max and Lauren met up with at the mall. Wait, why should he care? She's a villain, right? This is the kind of thing villains do.

We've run into Ettezan a few times, but if this is her work, it's the first time she's blatantly endangered innocent lives. I think we should at least consider Enzo's idea that there might be another ice-powered super human out there. If nothing else, it's gonna be hard to get those cops unfrozen with a fight going on.

Casey, what's your status? We've got a situation down here.

Starting installation now. Casey replies. I'll need about an hour to finish and I can't exactly stop.

Emmy can see the bike speeding at an ice ramp- They've got about 3 minutes before arrival.

Enzo slipped open the chipslot tray on his wrist and slipped in his electric chip. Ettezan or not, they had incoming and whether or not he actually ended up zapping them, keeping himself cool and confident would be nice this time around. The change in his mental state as his suit colors shifted from dull blue and brown to black and bright light blue was much less dramatic than what Alexis seemed to go through: He wasn't a loud caricature of the same person, he was just... ok. Calm. They could handle this, they'd trained for it, and he wasn't going to shake apart when things got going. He was still intimidated that this person was fast and quiet and powerful enough to take out the entire police force, but he and his friends could handle it, probably.

He straightened up and headed out to where Silvie was trying to punch the trapped policemen to freedom. He performed a quick calculation and then spoke to his sister.

"Silvie, our hostile is going to show up before you can finish that. We don't know if the men outside the cars are alive, but I can see the men inside the cars still moving, and that layer of ice might be a better defense for them than we would be if we free them before the target shows... Hopefully they have enough air, anyway. Everyone get ready for a fight. I'm going to go check something."

He ran back inside, to check out the defunct Combat Walker. If it wasn't armed, then it wasn't and they'd do without it. If it was, then he had some work to do in the next two and a half minutes.

But we can't leave them in there! she shouted back. The guys in the cars are okay, but what about the others?! If they're still alive, they could die if we don't get 'em out!

Enzo inspected the area quickly, forming a plan as best as he could while answering Silvie. He... wasn't sure this was going to be safe for anyone involved, and it might already be too late, but he didn't disagree with Silvie. He just didn't hold out as much hope as she did right now, either. He simply hadn't considered until just now that one plan didn't necessarily preclude the other, so long as the power cell held up.

We can certainly try, but if we can't figure out how to do it in less than a few minutes time I'm not sure they're going make it as it is. ... This might work. Max, Emily. This mech has a working inferno gauntlet. I'm going to turn it on, I need you guys to lift it. I wanted to use it against the enemy, but maybe we can use it to save a few policemen's lives. Silvie, if it turns out to be too heavy for them I bet their thrust will be enough to let you pick it up and carry it over. Are you guys with me? We've got like two minutes to make this work if we're doing it.

This was crazy and the policemen would be in danger if they got them out alive and it was probably ill considered for other reasons too. Just now, it felt right anyway.

Alright, let's do it then, Emily sent decisively, We don't have much time. She'd wanted to set up a reception for Ettezan, but saving lives definitely took priority. Emily got herself into position, ready to lift as soon as Max was in ready.

Regardless of who their opponent is, Max can't argue that it needs to be a priority to end this situation quickly, so they can try to save those policemen's lives.

Wait, wait. Just because this thing is offline and missing legs doesn't mean it's completely dead. Let me see if I can't get this thing running.

Max flies up on top of the half-a-mech, and attempts to find a point of entry while using his pilot interface ability to connect with the mech and get it operational.

The point of entry on the Titan class Combat Walker, or at least the early models, is in the chest. Max's pilot interface easily gets the door to slide open, and the cockpit inside is not only clean as a whistle, but completely operational and undamaged, surprising given the rest of the course. As Max slides in, several of the Titan's operation systems begin to boot up at once.

Multi-tasking, just another benefit of the Wunderkind brain.

Once it's fully operational, Max can pilot it manually, or take direct control of it with his pilot UI and use it like it was his actual body.

Hell yeah. Max is totally digging this.

Now wasn't that a lot easier than trying to brute force it? Now it's a one-man job instead of three. This is why you've got pilots on your team.

Sam runs to the transport while Max gets the half-mech up and running. Hauling out his rifle and three magazines of incendiary rounds, he loads up one and attaches the other two at his waist on magnetic clips. Making for the exit without a word, he takes cover at the side, watching the walker and waiting for the others to get it outside.

Enzo had pretty much completely forgotten that Max and Emily could do that. It was in his design files on them, of course, but it was one thing to know that they could access and pilot anything that had powered moving parts... it was another to see it outside of sanctioned D52 vehicles. So, while Enzo wanted to admit how much easier that was than what he'd been planning, even if Max ended up walking on his giant Titan Class mecha hands, what he ended up saying was:

"Cooool."

He turned to the front of the room again, and pulled his cane from it's compartment on his left forearm. It extended to it's full length with a soft click, and the tip ignited with electric energy with a loud snap. He was going to have to thank Casey for doing that for him so quickly later on.

"Ok. We've still got most of three minutes before we're in combat. Max, do what you can for the policemen until the target gets here. If she keeps to that speed, when she hits the ramp she'll land somewhere around..."

He highlighted a section of ground where he projected maybe-Ettezan was likely to land in red.

"Let's stay out of that area and be ready to open up on her before she lands. That way we have her pinned down immediately, and maybe take her ride out of the fight before she even lands. Alexis, Sam, if either of you can get a clear shot on the bike before that it would be even better."

He stopped and waited to see if anyone wanted to interject, they'd made some improvements on his ideas so far and he'd love for them to keep on doing that.

I'm going to see if I can knock her into a spin while she's in the air, Emily sent, So no shooting at her until after that. Emily took up a spot on the ground lurking in the shadow of the APC. As she waited, she set about plotting Ettezan's trajectory and calculating the best moment to launch herself into the ice girl and turn what would otherwise be a controlled landing into a crash.

Wow, Max thinks to himself. That's pretty ballsy, Emmy.

Max sits in the cockpit and his senses relax a little as he becomes one with the mech. Any fool with limbs can learn to drive a mech, but this was something only Wunderkind could do. Besides, this is a pretty old model, and the controls are a little less... friendly than in the more current models Max had trained on.

Even though he's trained for this sort of thing, but it's kind of a weird sensation to not be able to feel your legs and yet be able to feel your legs at the same time. Of course he's been inside more traditional vehicles like cars and boats and helicopters, and nond of those have legs, but they aren't designed for them, either.

Being immobile sucks. Max attempts to push himself off the ground, but the mech's arms were never designed to lift the weight of its body. Not even just half its body. He's just wasting what little power this thing has left.

Hey, guys, there's no way I'm getting this thing off the ground. It could maybe drag itself around, but that would take a lot of energy, and a lot of energy it ain't got. This thing's only going to be useful inside the tower.

Although I think against an enemy with ice-based powers, it could be
very useful.

Emmy steels herself, as the bike rights itself towards the ramp, and guns.

She's ready, as the bike streaks towards the rain, hitting the ramp without difficulty, and accelerates.

She charges as it hits the air, and...

..Completely misses! Ettezan streaks past her, landing heavily and twisting, screeching to a stop right where Enzo predicted.

"Oh." She says, throwing off her helmet and reaching for the massive sword strapped to her back. "I should've known you little jerks would be here."

(Ettezan is on scene! She is currently in square L-10 and SOMEONE SHOULD UPDATE THE MAP TO REFLECT IT)

Spinning about as Ettezan leaps into the room, Sam waits for her to land before firing off a quick shot at her without a word.

Nothing fancy, just a straightforward attack for this one.

"Hang on, what are you here for if not us?" Emily called down from higher up in the building, where she'd wound up and was contemplating her next move. Clearly this wasn't another shopping expedition, if for no other reason that the place was basically a junk repository. The obvious answer was that Ettezan was here to disrupt the transmitter because... Well, who knew? It did seem a bit petty, but then, so had going after Ellastic.

With a quick flick of the wrist, Ettezan deflects the rifle shot and shoulders her blade all in one motion. "I'm just here to do a little shopping, but if you guys want to throw down, I'd be more than happy to make ice cubes out of you, starting with whoever just tried to shoot me in the leg."

Playtime is over. Max aims his big rusty mech-fist at Ettezan and lets loose a bigass flaming stream of fuel in her direction. She's pretty good at dodging, but even if he can't hit her, hopefully he can at least influence her movements.

Okay, guys, are we actually going to attempt some strategy this time? We're in an enclosed space, and I'm hoping I can use this thing to limit her movement even further. Let me know if you want me to try anything before she comes over here and destroys this thing.

And at the same time he was sending that message to his team, he sent another one to Ettezan through the mech's external speaker. "Are you telling us you'd put people's lives at serious risk just so you can steal some shit? Why the Hell strike tonight, the first night in years this place has actually had anyone guarding it? Couldn't you have just waited?"

Max had a point, she was most likely to attack Max next now that he'd fired on her, unless something prevented her. He could try his hand at that, at least. Enzo ran to a likely spot and fired an electric blast, channeled through his cattle-prod cane for a little boost, not at Ettezan but just next to her. Specifically, between her and Max. Maybe she'd jump into it. Maybe she'd jump away. Maybe she'd be caught off guard by Max and catch fire. Who could say?

(Moving to I11, firing diagonally towards square O5.)

Emily, rather than trying to be tricky, unslung her rifle and opened up on automatic. If Ettezan was going to try that deflection business, she'd have a hard time of it.

Bullets shred the left leg of Ettezan's pants as she's caught off guard. There's a smell of ozone and gasoline as the two elemental attacks graze her, electricity dancing on the cold water droplets clinging to her biking jacket.

"Oh, you little--!" She manages to shout before running for cover, leaping behind one of the large piles of junk.

(Ettezan has moved to K-17 and is taking cover behind the debris pile that's kind of overlapping the adjacent squares. Square L-10 and all adjacent squares are covered in burning fuel, and the flame thrower has enough fuel for 3 more shots.)

Alexis had been sort of out of it, maybe from boredom, or something else, but when her voice had been called, she shook her head.

I can't control the fire nearly enough to thaw out the cars... She saw the others get to work and frown. Truth be told, she didn't want to use that chip unless she had to. Instead she simple went over and began to try to break away bigger chunks of ice as delicately as she could... at least until Ettezan had shown up.

Okay, this time around, the chip would be useful.

She slid it in without a word, and as the air around her burst away from her suddenly heated frame, her hair turned red as if liquid poured up over it and her eyes took on the firey tone they had before. She grinned, cracking her knuckles and yelled out to the zombie hiding behind the junk.

"Don't think that piece of scrap is going to protect you!" She felt so damn good! She didn't give a shit about the company, about what they were doing. She just wanted to have some fun with the others, and give that snow bitch a good thrashing. Running towards the pile, she braced herself before jumping into a leap, hoping that the zombie wouldn't see her flying over her in time... if she did, she was confident she would have some use for the gun she'd recently gotten stored inside her left arm... In fact, she pulled it out in the air while still whirling, deciding that she'd put a distance between herself and Ettezan and just fire at her for now.

Enzo followed Ettezan's movements and tracked Alexis' jump. He did what he could to help his brothers and sisters adjust their aim so that they could fire on Ettezan without worrying about hitting Alexis instead. He slowly moved towards the back wall to get a better angle for those checks.

And while Alexis ran towards her, Silvie had another goal: the motorbike. Instead of dashing directly into the fray like some of her brothers and sisters, she instead ran towards the cycle and hefted it with both her hands, making it an unconventional - but effective - weapon.

Why did she do this? Two reasons: one, it gave Ettazen less cover.

Two: If she swung Alexis away, she could swing Ettazen right back.

While Silvie and Alexis charge at Ettazan, Sam lines up another shot, doing his best to shoot another round before needing to worry about the two of them getting in his line of fire. As soon as they draw near, he pulls away his rifle, even if he hasn't yet had a chance to shoot.

Staying where he is at P9

Well, so much for hanging back and shooting at her. On the other hand... The others really weren't getting in close as quickly as it initially seemed. With that in mind, Emily decided she had time for another burst of firepower. If she could keep Ettezan pinned down for the moment, keep her from bringing those ice powers into play, that would be good.

Alexis gets into position, and gets a glare from Ettezan, who with a flick of her wrist, throws a bit of ice at the fiery Wunderkind's boot, causing a thin layer of ice and frost to quickly gum the joint up. "Don't even think about, it, pipsqueek!"

Kid dashes in for a jump-kick, but is caught by Ettezan and thrown across the room, landing on her chest and sprawling with a loud CLANG against the metal floor. Ettezan takes the chance to jump back out of cover, and begins charging at the War-Walker!

(Alexis is Frost Footed, and can only move 5 squares until healed. She also takes 2 damage. OH NO. Kid is thrown across the room and is now at K-11, and Ettezan is charging the War-Walker, and is located at I-13.)

It's kind of an odd sensation to have a stream of fire shooting out of your wrist. Weird and uncomfortable. Good thing it's not Max's actual wrist.

As Max predicted, Ettezan is heading towards the biggest current threat: him. Max aims his second stream of fire for space between himself and Ettezan. She's agile enough that she'll probably avoid it, but he's not trying to hit her, just control her movement.

Okay, with this firewall here, I'm thinking she's probably either going to veer to the right or jump over it. Hopefully trying to avoid the fire will make it a little easier for you guys to hit her, or at least keep her corralled.

Also, just so you know, I've only got one shot of this stuff left. Assuming this thing doesn't get trashed in the next two seconds.

While this is going on, Max mentally searches the walker's functions to see if there's some kind of emergency pilot eject.

Oh what the HELL!? Alexis lit up a fire in each hand, her eyes narrowing. She wanted to scream something highly inappropriate after the zombie-bitch, but at the moment a klaxon-like voice in her head kept reminding her that 'oh hey, you've got frozen joints, you should do something about that'. God!

Wait, did she call her pipsqueak? Motherf...

She hurried after Ettezan, fires in her hand. Hopefully she wouldn't notice her as she vaulted over the rocks, again, to attempt to slam both hands into the uppity zombie.

Silvie's eyes widened when Attezen blew Alexis away, before they narrowed in fury. In just a moment, she dashed towards the other girl, bike still in her metallic grip.

"Hey!" she shouted, just as she neared her. "Why don't you pick on somebody your own size?!"

And with that she swung the bike at her like a giant club.

"My own-WUFF!"

Ettezan was cut short as her own bike was used as a club, knocking her skidding to the ground. For the moment, her attack was stalled, but she flourished her giant sword at Silvie and prepared again. "My own size, pipsqueek? Come back in a couple years and you can say that. And try to figure out how to get yourself dressed right, too! Underwear on the INSIDE."

Meanwhile, Max finds there is a pilot eject!

(Still waiting on actions, but there is banter! Alexis is trying to catch up to Ettezan and is located K-13 and then Silvie crits and knocks her a space up, to H-13. Silvie is currently at L-13.)

Though Sam has no banter, he does have an opportunity! Now that Silvie's given Ettezan some extra distance from herself, Sam takes the chance to take a shot at her, keeping crouched where he is and firing off a quick round of incendiary shots at her straight through the burning flames.

Taking advantage of Ettezan being momentarily on the back foot, Emily lined up a shot at her chest and fired.

"Yeah, terribly witty banter and all that, but seriously, fun as beating each other up is, why are you here?" she asked. The fight didn't look like cooling down any time soon regardless, but looking for answers couldn't hurt.

Enzo grimaced as people started to really mix it up with Ettezan, but he didn't run away this time. It was all he really knew how to do to quietly tweak his brothers and sisters performance once they got into melee proper. He might have joined them, but somehow he didn't think he'd come off of that altercation well. Confidence was one thing, but he remembered Alexis' broken jaw from a while back. He staid put for now, waiting to see where Ettezan moved next before doing so himself.

Alexis' eyes were burning hot as she closed in on Marceline the Vampire Queen, and the fire in her hands were growing in intensity.

"Suck on a fireball, ice-freak!" she yelled, 'though the threat of impeding balls of fire was probably relatively empty. She probably couldn't chuck them left and right, but you know what they say, in great times of stress we do miracles.

Otherwise she'd just run up and continue fighting. She'd only been caught off-guard right now, yeah, that was it.

Ettezan takes a shot to the leg, and is interrupted as her canvas pants shred from the shot, and light blue ichor begins to ooze out of the wound. She twirls her sword in hand, before throwing it into the air, speaking quietly. She's definitely up to something.

(Round ends without anyone moving more than stated previously! Ettezan's attack is interrupted from a successful shot from Emmy dealing 3 damage. Ettezan seems to be casting another spell, similar to Howling Blast, but they can't hear what she's saying)
