The old man looked up at Elena and Carlae. "Solberg, yes that is me. You must be from Fort Emergence then?"
He stood slowly, taking a careful look at Elena. "Yes... I think I recognize you. From the Tower of Magi, after it was rebuilt... you studied there, yes?"

Keldorn quickly made his way across the square and to the building he had seen the women going in. Remembering that they were supposed to go to the second floor, he quickly found the stairs up and found himself greeted... not by a page, but by a giant lizard.
Being a native of Exile, Keldorn could recognize a Slithzerikai with no problem. But the page nearby seemed to be almost scared out of his wits by the presence of the hulking Slith. Indeed, the creature was nearly eight feet tall, and built in a manner that left no doubt in the mind: he was strong. Perhaps strong enough to beat both Genji and Keldorn in an armwrestling match, challenging both at the same time.
A large halbred rested next to him, and he was currently leaning against the wall with his tail wrapped around his legs. Like most slith warriors, he wore nothing but a loincloth and his armor, an impressive shirt of chainmail, and the massive wooden sheild by his feet completed the look. The Slith eyed Keldorn carefully, and then turned to look back at the page, it's reptilian eyes betraying no emotion.
The page, for his part, almost scrambled over to Keldorn and asked, "A-are you with th-the Exile mage a-and priestess, s-sir?"
If Keldorn wondered how he could be recognized so easily, he had only to compare his skin with that of the page, and remember everything he had heard about the surface, to recall that Exile's skin was ALWAYS horribly pale compared to their surface counterparts... Aparently this page was familiar with that fact as well.

Genji found himself to be a towering wedge of muscle moving through a swiftly gathering crowd of small, cloaked figures. He could see that most of the stalls were not selling anything interesting, at least nothing that he would find interesting. But several of them had alchemical items, which he recognized as useful for healing salves (even if he couldn't use them, he had often seen them on the shelves of his tribe's shamans, and passed them in the wild as well). One also had a strong smelling plant he had never seen before on sale. Finally, there were a number of odd looking rods, along with scrolls, potions, and crystals sitting on display in a both in a far corner. There might be something interesting there...
