Shek stepped in behind Ryo and Gean. "Yeah, its cold." He shivered, not really being used to it.

Well, this computer thing sounds like it would be a powerful machine to be able to hold the information of the world... Maybe it gets hot from being in use all the time, so it needs to be stored in a cold place?
~Makes sense to me.~
Only because its the only explanation you have.

Shek walked over one of the statues, and tapped it lightly with his foot. "Well, er, Dungeon Man." He said to Ryo, "Any likely traps in here? Or does anyone object if I take point...?"

Gean took a step towards the door and then pushed on it. It opened slowly with a loud creek. Gean let out a scream and then jumped back as a Skeleton fell at her feet.

"I. . .suppose. ..hes one of the many unlucky ones." She said backing away from the skeleton.

She looked at Shek and then smiled.

"You won't get any objections from me." She said with a scared laugh. She stared down at the skeleton and then bit her lower lip as her mind raced.

"I've never been in hear," She said. "Just outside of it." She said honestly. "I got scared the first time, cuz. . .well I may be a great Dream Chaser. . .but . .uh. . I kinda never did the whole explore the ruins thing."

She said.

Gean sighed and scracthed her head.

"Kinda weird but. . uh the outside of this place kinda feels . . .strange." She said with a laugh. "But. . I'm probably being paranoid.

Ryo shook his head. "No I shall lead this group if you don't mind." Ryo pushed the Skeleton aside with his ARM.

"One word of advice, unless its a door. Don't touch it." He then slowly stepped thorough the door and looked around carefully watching his step.

"And unless you plan on me not liking you either Shek call me by my name." He smirked and kept walking forward with caution.

Gean smiled at Shek.

"Don't let him get to ya." She said. Elbowing Shek in the rips. "He may act all tuff, but hes a nice guy."

"Kinda like you Rydar," Gean teased as she walked on. "You both are nice guys, but both of you are a bit gruff." She smiled at Rydar and went on.

She jumped over the Skeleton and walked behind Ryo.

"Ok, make a note Gean." She said to herself. "Don't touch anything unless you want to face the posiblity that you can die from it. Thanks Ryo." She said with a nervous laugh.

(description)

The next room is smaller than the first, upon entering you one door. However it is locked. Hanging from the ceiling you see chains. There are large metal balls in the ceiling corners. Each has a difrent color crystal. One crystal is blue, one is green, one is pink, and the other red. You can see by looking around that there is a lot of dust. You can see that the floor is tiled, unlike the other room witch was rock. The tiles underneath the metal balls have images on them. Under the blue crystal metal. ball, there is a moon. Underneath the red there is a sun. Underneath the pink, there is a moon. And underneath the green there is a sun.

Thick cabals run from the door to the metal balls.

In the center of the door there is a tile. It is dusty but you can make out the words if you were to read them.

(first puzzel. I won't give it away threw gean so you'll have to figure it out on you own. He he. puzzels are part of the game. I will however descripe what happens when you do an action, sometimes an action can give you clues.)

Ryo grimaced at the amount of dust in the room and walked over to the door. He blew off the dust and rubbed any more that was on it away with his hand. "Hmm...... What does this say....."

(What it says)

Sun and moon
Moon and sun.

One is true the other false, flow like always in the tide.
Sword and iron be your guide.

(end saying)

Next to The small slab Ryo sees a smudge of blood, it is dull as if it has been there for along time.

"So what's it say Ryo?" Gean asked as she stared a The door.

((@_@ This is so like this book I read a long time ago.))

Shek read the writing after Ryo had finished and half smiled.

"The moon is true and the suns a lie
And the sea is the dark side of the sky."

He sighed a bit, "Now if only words opened up rooms... Ryo, if you're so confident.. why don't you try this out?"

Rydar read the slab after Shek, hmm, he thought. 'red sun, blue moon, pink moon, green sun. " I wonder if the order as something to do with it?"

"he bent uder each ball and looked intensely at the moon and sun's under each of them and they all looked the same. Same moon, same sun. Perplexed, he turned to Gean "So what does this all mean?"

Reading the slab again he wonders some more. "Sun and moon
Moon and sun. One is true the other false, flow like always in the tide. Sword and iron be your guide."

"Does that mean one sun and one moon is false, or both suns are or both moons are...., dammit!"

"Ryo, do you trust this? I keep on thinking something about it is a trick."

"Thats enough hiding."

Kalin walked in through the door. He nodded.

"Been trailing you. Ryo knew I was there, but with only one small room to go into, it was kind of difficult to remain hiding."

He walked over to the inscription on the wall, read it, and scratched his head.

"I have no idea what we are supposed to do. If its any help, the moon is what causes the tide, both are mentioned in this poem."

Gean smiled as Kalin entered the room

"Great, glad to see you made it Kalin." She said. "I was hoping you would."

Gean put a hand on her chin and sighed.

"Ge this is tuff, don't you think so Rydar, Shek?" She said staring up. "To tell you the truth Ryo. I don't know anything about this place. Just where it is." She turned to the door to hide her sad expression.

"See," she said pretending to be happy. "I just sorta found my self hear a few years ago. Out in front of it. I don't know anything else than that. Nothing about who I was, or even who my parents were. Hell, I don't even know if my names Gean." She said with a fake happy voice.

She cleared her voice and then read the small sign to herself.

"Well maybe we have to do something with our swords? But. . what could the iron part be?"

Gean frowned at the door and then looked puzzled.

"And what the heck is a tide?"

(Ooc. I came up with an idea. Right now the group as a hole has 6000 gella total, (with ryo having more) If you at any time find that the riddels are to confusing, and you are stumped. You can buy a hint for 50 gella. But you can only buy three hints per puzzel. And you must all agree that you want to to that, not your chars, you. If you don't like this idea, we can forget it. Hope you guys are having fun with this so far. Cuz I am.)

Ryo placed a hand on his chin and smiled. "Ah the best part of dungeons is always the puzzles. The harder they are the better the prize inside..."

"Sun and Moon... hm... Well the moon effects the tides..... " Ryo glanced at the blue orb and kneeled down by the tile. "Hmm.... Interesting..." Ryo got back up and walked over to the door reading the clue over again.

Ryo then glanced at the blood. "Hmmp, some poor guy must have made a mistake." He reached down and wiped away the smudge with his thumb. "Give me a moment.... these puzzles were meant to keep people out so they can take time to solve."

(sight info. When ever someone looks at something there will be a discription)

As ryo looks at the blue orb. He sees that there is a small smuge of blood on it. He also sees that there is a line around the tile, it looks as if the tile is cabebel of moving.

(end discription)

(ooc. Any one who looks around during a puzzel will see new things. But since Ryo as the oly one to look at the blue orb, he is the only one who sees it. It is up to him to disclose what he saw. Thanks.)

OOC: my char looked at all the tiles earlier, so he knows the same thing. Anything else he should know about them?)

"Hey Ryo, what is a tide? If the moon affects it, what moon would affect it the most?"

He was clueless on the whole tide thing, it made no sense to him, he'd lived in the desert his whole life. "Good to see you Kalin, I was hoping you would join us."

"Tide is the movement of the water on the oceans edge. Every twelve hours the tide moves all of the way out and all the way in. Thus, at noon the water is very high, almost up to the dunes, but at the sixes, it is low, and you have a lot more shoreline. This has been proven to directly correlate with the positions of the moon."

Kalin paced around to the other side of the chamber, and looked up.

"I wonder if these chains do anything?"

(sorry. I forgot that Rydar saw them to. Yeah he saw the same thing. thanks for reminding me. If I ever forgget just let me know. )

(Chains)

As Kailn looks at the chains, he sees that there is a red substancse on them, it is caked in and dry. On one of the chains there apears to be barbs. Looking at the cealing Kailn also sees that the chaisn disapear into holes, and that some are logner than the others. Showing that the Chains are cabebel of moving threw the holes.

(end chain)

(SO far you guys are on the right track.)

"Blood, looks like. Maybe torture objects. Hey wait. These chains are iron right? Maybe thats the iron in the poem. Should we try pulling them? Or mayhaps someone should step on one of the moon tiles? We have to try something eventually."

" Maybe the blood is from someone who tried that Kalin. We should figure this out before we touch anything."

Rydar was nervous. He saw all this blood, and no bodies. It made him edgy about the room

Ryo looked about the room some more. "Well a full moon causes the largest waves..." He shrugged.

He walked over to the red orb and looked it over. Then moved on to the pink. "Hmm..... these are all oddly colored...."

He then walked over to the Green orb an examined it as well. "A shame I just can't bomb the door open. It probably wouldn't even crack it anyway...." He stood back upright and began to think again.

"Why the pink sun? I understand the red sun because sometimes its red at dawn and dusk, and you said that the tides are caused every 12 hours..... could there be a tide change at dawn and dusk?"

Rydar thought that maybe things were coming together.

"So it's more than likely the red orb we need to pull but what moon and what order?"

Gean sighed.

"Well what comes first?" She asked. "I wonder if . .. the pattern has anything to do with it?" She stared at the moon tile under the pink orb.

"Well, I guess one of us should just try it Kalin." Gean said looking at him. "Any takers?"

(Good deduction by all. But just to remind you. There are two sun tiles. One is under the red the other under green. The pink and the blue have the moons. Note. This is not an answer it is just a reminder. But you guys are really getting close. I will say your getting close if you are.)

Puzzle in the Temple~

Unread postby Ajil6 » Mon Feb 24, 2003 12:10 am

Shek leaned against the wall, watching the group. His eyes analyzing. His mind was far from the puzzle at hand, and more on, what to think of his companions.

Ryo: Ryo is rude, and too arrogant for his own good, unless a woman was around, and even then.

~He's just got to be compensating for something.~
Don't think rude thoughts about your companions.
~Well... he's a jerk!~
Right. But compared to what?
~Grr...~

Gean:
She's good natured, but definatly hiding something, the way she walks and acts is clear on it. She seems kind enough though.

Nothing to say about her?
~Not really.~

Kalin:
I don't know what to think.

Rydar:
He's arrogant, and just itching to fight something, whether it be Ryo, or something else.

Like Ryo, but a little more tolerable.
~Pretty much, yes.~

Conclusion: Shek was most likely doomed to be killed in a squad of people who were as inept at adventuring as he was, and Ryo's lack of patience only added to this.

He sighed silently, and watched his group members with half-interest.

You do realize, you should pay attention to what goes on around you, don't you?
~I don't see you trying to help me do that.~
Sadly, you're the only conversation I get.
~Shut up.~

The ceiling opens up, and the chains retract as a large pillar defends from the ceiling. It suddenly turns and rams into the door. Opening it.

Gean rubbed her arms as she entered the next room.

"Gosh. ..its even colder in hear."

(description)
In this room, the group sees that is plain. The floor is tiled. There is only one door. All around you it is cold. As cold as the desert nights.

As the last person steps threw the door. It slams shut with a loud boom.

Above you the ceiling is blue, and as you stare up you see that there is a large hole in the center.

As you stand there, you hear a faint sound, that slowly grows louder. As it dose water begins to fall from the hole. And fills the room with one foot of water.

As you stand in the water the rumbling gets louder and something very huge falls from the hole. On first glance it appears to be a turtle. Its large head rises and stares at the group.

It turns its head to Kalin and steps forward. Its nostril inhaling all around it.

(End description.)

Gean covered her mouth to keep from screaming as the beast lifted its head and let out a sigh, causing the water to ripple.

She gulped as the beast bowed its head at Kalin.

~Son of waters. Children of Filgaia.~ a voice fills your mind as the beast shakes its head. ~Dare you cross my path, dare you seek what shall not be found?~

It turns its head to the group.

~Seekers of power, die upon the tide. Seekers of Valor gain its strength. I shall led you my power if you be strong enough to prove your valor.~

The beast roars and the boss battles begin.

(This beast is known as a Medium. More precisely it is the medium of water. Known as Schturdark. I will chose who gets this medium. But don't worry eventually you will all have one. Though I think its a given who will get this one. I will explain more about this . . .if you win the battle. Hear is the hp stats and battle order.
Gean 150/150
Kalin 200/200
Ryo 210/210
Shek 200/200
Rydar 210/210

An explosion came straight out of the ground beneath Schturdark, engulfing his lower body.

"Well thats cool."
