Kilra slept peacefully, draping herself over D, long ago having become her pillow. Fortunately for the young man, tonight he wasn't on the end of any flailing limbs.

D didn't quite move... He was too tired.

... Not that he's going to grumble. Nope. Slowly, he went to sleep himself too...

Shada slept peacefully, blissfully unaware of the others as she dreamed... and she occasionally shifted or muttered as she slept, but nothing intelligible.

Shina's sleep was much like a cat's, much rolling and trying to find the right position ensued. When she finally stopped, the human/nekojin slowly descended into the realm of dreams...

They party awoke to the sounds of a tree being uprooted. The trolls were up with sun preparing improvements on Miiam's bridge and later the cabin. Miiam watched them fell a large oak and waited for the others.

During the night, Kilra had migrated to the floor, somehow not being awakened by rolling off the bed. Unfortunately for D, she'd taken the blanket with her, leaving the human without.

... Not that he realized before he woke up, and felt himself freezing cold...

"Brr... Uh... K-Kilra..." he muttered, trying to tug lightly at the blanket, most probably to no avail...

RedFox, being on the outside of the hut, woke up first. Even if a little slowly at first, the noise eventually nagged him enough to open his eyes to see what was going on. He got up, if on all fours, and stretched his arms, then his legs. Still on all fours, he padded over to where the noise was coming from, spotting Miiam.

"Hrrf..." He gave out a long yawn, and eventually found the ability to talk. "What's going on, Miiam?" His eyes were still half closed, as well as his ears still folded over behind his head, and he was still not entirely aware of his surroundings, as well as his own being. For this, he sat down on his haunches, on all fours, and looked up at Miiam, awaiting an answer.

Miiam looked down at Redfox. Ah, the trolls have decided to improve upon my bridge. And they're going to spruce up the cabin. It appears you are all welcome back here anytime.

All that D heard in return was a few muttered words of drow, and the blanket was indeed beyond his grasp, Kilra wrapped up comfortably in it on the floor.

D grinned. Nobody does that to him, not even Kilra. He grinned wider, and went into the cabin, coming back with the pitcher, hoping that he does not wake up Kilra. He carefully put some water on his hands, then splashed them upon... Certain parts of the covered Kilra's anatomy.

Still hoping that she did not wake up, he turned around and walked off again, holding the pitcher...

D grinned again, took out his clothes with him, and started dressing up outside the room. Of course, this DID meant that D went out wearing close to nothing, but hey, it's better than being caught once the joke was over, isn't it?

Shina yawned and sat up, stretching out.

"WHat a night...I dreamt I caught the world's biggest fishy..."

Her gaze shifted from side to side, and she grinned.

"Well, time for us to go! Whee!"

"That's..." RedFox yawned. "...nice... I never knew Trolls were so kind. it's nice to know, now." He looked around him a little and tapped his tail on the grassy floor idly, still on all fours, eventually looking back at Miiam. "I suppose the others should be waking up by now... Where are we off to today?"

Miiam nodded. Trolls are an excellent judge of character. No doubt if they met a rival they'd by custom have to subdue him by trollic means but that's the subject of a different adventure. And for you second question, we are not far from Ordana for a some supplies if you need it and finally civilization. From there we go to Aegir City and then to Saltwater. From here on out there will be no more sleepy in the forest, as far as I'm concerned.

Kilra woke up, feeling something a little odd down her body. Curiosity turned to shock and horror as she looked down at the blanket, noticing the wet spot, unaware of what it truly was.

She readied herself hastily, making sure to wrap her cloak around her tightly, and hoped the mark would dry before anyone had the chance to notice.

As the other's stirred and began making noise she slowly came awake, streatching as she did so. Shada sat up and looked over the rest of the loft, and after a moment she began to reassemble herself, as before she went to sleep each night she removed her various pieces of leather armour.

"no more sleepy...?" He shook his head, scratched at his ears with his foot, which was a hindpaw at the time, and asked again,

"I... I'm sorry, Miiam," He said with a chuckle, "I don't think i quite understood you properly... something about a forest...?"

We won't have to be sleeping in the woods anymore. Inns until you reach Poppione's Barrow. Then after that it's more roughing it.

D was just outside the door, waiting, having dressed up and taken his stuff outside the room.

"Hey, Kilra. Good morning..."

after a second or two, he added:

"Are you all right? You look kinda... nervous or something.", keeping himself from grinning or laughing loud.

"I don't know... You look like you're nervous about something. Like there's something you're hiding."

Whether or not Kilra realized what he did by now, D did not know...

Which she did. It may have been a little early in the morning, but Kilra wasn't dumb. And D had a reputation for these sort of things. And she knew she hadn't put that mark there herself. A look of annoyance washed across her face, then one of hurt, her eyes telling him she'd figured it out.

"Why do you do these things?" she whispered in a pained voice, before moving off, maintaining the act that she was actually upset. In reality, she was trying to figure out how to get back at him.

D grimaced, wondering how seriously she actually took it. While D had a reputation for being a prankster, Kilra had a reputation of being an actress...

However, pranking DOES annoy people. While that is quite the fun of it all, it's no fun when a bad reaction like that... D just thought that it can't last too long, in either case..

Shina, finally fully awake, bounded across the house looking for Kilra.

"Hey, you two shared a bed? That's unfair. Ya didn't do anything, right?"

The "catgirl" gave a sadistic grin and looked to Kilra, then to D, then back to Kilra.

Opportunity knocks!

Putting on her best disappointed face, she looked at Shina for a moment. Letting the act sink in first, she then spoke in a hushed tone.

"Well, actually we should have, truth tell. But D was a little....impatient, if you catch my drift. It's quite sad really, he's been having this problem for a while."

Not the one to be defeated, Kilra turned to D, eyes flooded with self induced tears, and wept into his shoulder in an completely over-dramatic way.

"I'm sorry, but I had to tell someone! Ever since one of Warlock's spells hit you funny you just haven't been the same! So many nights of disappointment!"

She continued to sob, although D could have sworn he heard a barely audible cackle somewhere amongst the faked sorrow.

Ow. That fuckin' hurt. Ah well. D played the last of the cards.

"... Is that what that mark is all about, then?" he said

"You've been..."

Okay, so that wasn't the best thing to do, but it was the only reply possible.

"You didn't even give me a chance to take my pants off!" she cried out in obviously faked sorrow.

Then she arced her head backwards, and began cackling, thoroughly amused by the past minute's events.

D laughed as well, probably surprisingly.

"I see you are learning, Kilra." he said, and patted her on the head.

"Besides, I'm sure from what I've seen, I haven't yet disappointed you once, have I?" he added, and winked

D nodded, then jumped on one leg, turning around so that he put himself exactly behind Kilra, his chest against her back. Hugging her, he tilted his head a little bit forward, and whispered, in a very low tone, audible only barely to Kilra, even with her elven ears:

"And if you're whining that bad about it, I promise you that next time we get the chance, we'll have loads of fun... If you want, that is..."

strange people!

Unread postby Besyanteo » Tue Mar 04, 2003 3:42 pm

Shada had descended into the main room juuust in time to catch D and Kilra commenting on one another's ability to 'perform'. She pointedly ignored them for the moment, a little extra color in her cheeks as she walked out the door.

She stopped by Red and smiled a little.

"Morning."

D's so romantic... Sometimes.

D replied by turning his head, and giving Kilra a small kiss at the top of the side of her neck, then saying:

"Well, I guess we should get moving, then, shouldn't we, sweet Kilra?" he said, with a rather different, calm tone which is not quite his usual.

"Well, yeah... It also looks like we scared wotsername off, too. Ah well." he added, grinning widely as he usually does, and followed Shada, wondering what her reaction to his appearing after that show would be.
