((Shouldn't be a major problem, Geoc. Just put a brief summary of your character, and I'll see if I can create an opening.))
End's lance penetrated the zombie's chest effortlessly, driving into the creature's heart.
Like a puppet bereft of its strings, the zombie collapsed.
End had no time to celebrate his victory, as a hand plunged deep into his own chest, closing icy fingers about his heart.
The triumphant grin of the old man before him filled End's dimming vision.
Then a blast of lightning slammed the old man away, sending him tumbling down the street.
As he gasped for breath, End could see the mage, arm dangling limply at his side, robes torn, and blood dripping from numerous cuts.
He was trembling with rage.
Another bolt leapt from his fingertips, hammering through a hastily erected barrier.
"You will pay for your interference with your life!" the old man screamed.
"You first," the mage snarled, intensifying the barrage.
Still shouting curses, the old man countered with a spear of ice, which pierced the mage's torso.
Unrelenting, the mage kept the lightning pouring from his fingertips, tearing great holes in the old man.
"You'll all pay," the old man whispered as he was torn apart, fragments scatteringto the winds.
With that, the mage collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

The holy energy tore into the zombie, driving it backwards.
By the time it had recovered, the guard had regained both his feet and his weapon.
By now, the zombie was not a pretty sight. Its flesh had been seared by the beam, and the hair had been burned off entirely.
Its axe stroke was parried by the guard, who countered and neatly removed its head, ending its quest for brains forever.
The lone remaining zombie, thus far undamaged, and too stupid to know when it was beaten, struck at the target it had been assigned, heedless of all else. Kyra barely managed to interpose her staff, staggering backwards as the zombie set itself up for another strike.
