wh00t! Red is stupid kamikaze person!

Unread postby XIIIRedXIII » Fri Aug 02, 2002 1:27 pm

Red blinked lazily, her head screaming. It was total bedlam...the troll and two..walking armors?

This wasn't good....

Grumbling, she hauled herself over what was left of the counter and crouched behind the bar, dazed. She thought.

In terms of magic, she knew but Ninja skills. Throwing knives and shurikens didn't seem to affect the brute. Her demon blade had done little It's not at full power she mumbled. Trolls were undead.....

Trolls were undead?

A slow smile crossed her lips. Yes, it was risky, she thought, her vision clearing a bit.

For those skills gave her quite the command of fire...

And what better to fight fire than with fire, or a monster with another monster, for that matter?

Red had no idea what she was going to do about the armors -hopefully the other warriors could handle it, because on that point she was lost. But she knew if she just stayed back there, she was bound to be killed in the melee. And if she jumped in, she was bound to be killed in the melee. But there was something very wrong with these creatures in an inn, and she figured that she would do whatever she could, however miniscule, to get rid of the bastards.

She smiled. Her mother would be proud.

She stood up, grabbing an empty beer bottle and chucking it at the face of the Troll. She heard it shatter, but did not wait to see if the Troll had turned around -instead, she raised her palm and yelled--

"FLAME!!!"

The flames surged toward the creature's face. Red's tail began to burn more fiercely as her claws extended further, her teeth flashing.

"DON'T JUST IGNORE ME YOU UGLY BRUTE!!"

She jumped over the counter at him with certainly inhuman agility, grabbing his neck, and mauling at him with her teeth and claws. Red was done fighting with her human half -she allowed her tail to whip and scorch as she moved about, gouging at his eyes, tearing at his face.

Akai Kuu was fighting as the monster she half was.

((OOC: LMB, Red's going for the creature's eyes -you decide whether she manages to get one out. With her claws and fangs and such, she can cause a lot of damage -but if you think that she would pose no real threat to Gruul, feel free to try to chuck her against a wall:P And sorry for the long post^^;;; ))

Kotoki, noticing the suit of armour advancing on Jak, gave a small half-snarl and drew out her crossbow. She fired a bolt at the thing's back.

The elf gasped and immediately let his casting cease. He, too, preferred a strategic course of action. My spell was deflected....somehow.. Cleriden understood the nature of runes, but without studying the armor a little more closely, he was out of luck with ideas to counter them. So, some time bought for me may lend time for the others...

The mage picked up his satchel from the table, slung it over his shoulder and began to rummage through it, taking a few steps back from his incoming assailant. He withdrew a yellow powder, sprinkled it on the floor, and snapped his fingers.

A 6 foot tall, 5 foot wide wall of flame immediately rose from the floor between him and the enchanted armor. His eyes flicked back and forth across the room, seeking options.

------------------
(and now for viator...)

The dwarf would have been surprised, had he been in his right mind. Body took over, and as the table took flight towards him, the axe was brought down with a mighty chop, almost completely splitting the wood in two. Almost, as the axe was lodged within the table, sending the berserker to the floor. A twist and a roll later, Thadin was back on his feet, foaming at the mouth. To replace the speed he had gained by charging, he brought his body in low and brought his axe back, preparing for a horizontally arcing swing that would bring the blade to the troll's stomach.

(([edit] - didn't like the hit I was doing (took me forever to think of something else though)..
And Welcome back, Kotoki 'n Jak! *throws them both a tea party*))

Out of the corner of his eye Gruul saw a something flying towards his head. Without a thought one of his huge hands swept up to bat it away, that wasn't one of his better ideas. Flame exploded across his hand, he bellowed half in pain half in rage as the terrible sensation sliced across his arm. He whipped his head around and spied the person that had thrown that awful thing at him. He was about to roar once more when he felt a nudge to the side of his head, he ignored it until he felt the same terrible sensation on the side of his face.

Sputtering in pain he turned back to the little 'un that had cut him earlier, only to see her leaping through the air like a flying squirrel. The big troll stumbled back in surprise when she attached herself to his face and began to rake his thick skin with her claws. Just as he caught her about the neck with his still burning hand, one of her clawed hands slashed out and gouged into his eye. He roared in pain and pulled her off his face, preparing to throw her against the nearby wall.

A terrible pain ripped across his stomach, he looked down in amazement to see a gout of blood spewing from a long slash across his rounded belly. Acting purely on instinct his free hand swung up and caught the dwarf on the side of his head in a glancing blow, though it was enough to send the dwarf crashing through a nearby table. He turned his attention back to the one he was holding in his hand only to find she had bitten into his arm.

This was quickly turning out very badly.

The animated suits of armour broke into a charge at the same moment. They ignored the attacks brought against them as if they were not there at all. The crossbow bolt shattered against Rack's steel shoulder like glass. Conversely Frak charged through the intense heat from the wall is if it were nothing more than a slight breeze. They reached their intended targets at the same moment, both brining their giant swords down at the same time, intent on cleaving the mages into equal parts.

As all this was occurring, the great deal of fire and heat it was producing was already beginning to turn the place into a furnace. Many patrons ran from the establishment trying to escape the heat, and fighting, they realized now this was no mere brawl.

------

ooc: Sorry that took so long, thing kept coming up like me nearly breaking my hand and such and such. I it won't take this long to GM again.

A little note though, you may want to think about throwing around so much fire in a place made out of flammable materials like wood, filled with flammable objects like tables and people, and also containing large quantities of highly flammable liquids, IE booze.

What have I done? Leothe thought.
If a fire takes hold in here, it could burn down the inn!
Well, he'd just have to help douse the flames when all this was over.

The troll, large as it was, seemed fully occupied with various attackers, not to mention his own burning hand. Leothe wasn't needed there for the moment.

The armoured warriors, on the other hand, were unopposed save for Jak, and were poised to cut the mage down. They were already too close for him to him to risk throwing more concoctions at them.

Inventory: box of potions, plates, ale, table -

Seizing his makeshift barricade, Leothe charged at the knights, using the solid table as improvised shield and battering ram both.

With luck, he'd be able to knock them both down, or at least get them tangled up...

ooc: Just a note Kelne one Armour is going after Jak, the other is after Cleriden. Not both after Jak, so you'd be hitting one with the bench, not both.

Hazel eyes widened in amazement as the armor passed through the flames...and then the delicate brows drew together, as the elf took a split second to berate himself for such a stupid mistake - It's armor! No flesh beneath to hold it back..a mindless animation, nothing more - a mistake that he would soon pay for! As Frak's sword began its descent, Cleriden grabbed a nearby stool and brought it up as a makeshift shield. The heavy sword sliced through the chair like butter, and thusly bit into his shoulder, eliciting a pain-filled scream. The elf fell prone to the ground, eyes shut tightly, tearing up, the wind knocked from his lungs. He began to scramble blindly to get away from the flames and the lumbering tower of animated steel before him.

Jak, hearing the sound of shattering metal behind him, turned around to see what had happened.

And beheld his imminent demise, in the form of a downward moving sword.

Normally when fighting plate clad morons, Jak preferred to have a good couple of idiot fighters in front of him to get cut to pieces instead of him. Of course, this didn't mean that he hadn't been battered, cut and mangled occasionally, and thus he'd made it a priority to learn how to dodge the various chunks of metal and wood that would come this way, and thus, hopped back.

However, being a mage and all, Jak really didn't have the combat instincts that would have told him it would have been better to sidestep, which was displayed as the sword slashed downwards across his front, carving a trail of crimson red across his chest, the ground bellow him being splattered with blood.

He stumbled back, quite shocked by the injury. The nigh on overwhelming pain was another annoyance. Still, something Jak had learned right was that it was not a good idea to reel in pain and bandage your injuries. It was far better to do that after you'd blown your foe into tiny, tiny pieces.

So Jak continued his movement backwards, assuming the troll was taken care of, and began to cast another spell, intent on turning the armour into a pile of ash.

---

Kinval, meanwhile, sat in the corner, watching the havoc and drumming his fingers against the table. Nobody had taken notice of him, so he had no good reason to move. On the other hand, the fight wasn't proving entertaining. The disorder of it all made his stomach turn over, and he bemoaned the unrefined brutality of it all.

Kotoki's eyes widened, and she gasped and knocked Jak out of the way of the suit of armour. "Are you... oh, god..."

Meanwhile, Raile watched the scene with a look of mild concern on his face. He put his drink down and stood up. It was one thing to interfere in a fight, but people needed healing.

He looked over at Jak's wound and started to chant. "Cura."

That stings something fierce, said Thadin's intellect. Unfortunately, the Dwarf had balled his intellect into a tiny, dark little corner of his mind and therefore wasn't listening to it.

His instinct, which he was listening to, just kind of growled.

He rolled out of the ruins of the table, instantly into position for another attack. His intellect did however manage to push through the realization that the mages were in danger.

In a supreme (for a berserker) burst of thought his intellect shoved through the fact that if the mages up and died there would be a lot less fire for the troll. Trolls didn’t die without fire. Therefore mages were needed.

Turning and lifting the axe over his head. He sat forward to carve open the armor threating Cleriden.

Kinda looked up to see his prey quickly begin to burn in the dark night, egnighting the tared roofs of nearby building.
His eyes widened with shock, his rightful gil burning jioning the flames once again. He through his dark cloak back and raced toword the flames on all fours, he ran up the wall and cascaded in through a window.landing on his hind legs he saw his prize, his 1000,000 gil prize. The girl-thing the demon red.

Kinda reached behind his back and drew his axe.His axe that had slayed Dragons once, in the old place that was once called home.He held Ka-shami in his head sized fist like a man holds a pen.He reared back on his hindlegs his tail instinavely drawing a dagger. He lept his axe held back ready to cleave off reds head when a troll tumbled in his way.Ka-shami tore into his sholder and his clawed feet buried themselfs into its chest and back.Kinda pulled helplesly at the axe its old ruins being tainted by the trolls foul blood. The beast looked him in the eye.The troll had many wound upon its face the worst being it had only one eye.The troll opened its mouth to revile rows of sharp yellowing teath, a roar tore into kindas sensative ears, deafing him.His tail then plunged its blade into the trolls side twisting slowly to encorage pain.

Kinda never respected trolls strengh but hated them still they were the casue of much of his pain.

Kinda gave one last tug and the axe tore out of the beasts back,The force sent the cat-creature flying out his window again.
