The Nekojin grunts when Daniel asks his question. He obviously doesn't feel like answer, but being under Dan's spear point does wonders for this kind of thing.
"We learned the shop keeper was moving a large part of her inventory... her store's goods would make us rich after being sold on the Black Market."
Leothe finds no weaponry on the Nekojin, aside from the Mace he was using to accost Daniel, nor anything else of especial interest. While he's searching, however, he hears a sudden breathe nearby... The elven woman is moving again! It's only been about two minutes... It seems Neb wasn't kidding about the short amount of time remaining.
She gasps, as from her perspective, the world changed fairly dramatically in the blink of an eye. Everyone has moved, and suddenly she has no allies to rely on. She channels her will into a spell without wasting time to think, still full of rushing adrenaline from a battle that, by her perception, never stopped or even slowed. Annetta tries to move to take her down before her spell can reach completion, but she just wasn't ready in time. The sky fill with falling swords, raining down on those gathered near her and the Nekojin: Annetta, Leothe, Kobakk and Dan. The Elven mage, now bleeding from the nose and looking haggard, begins to run without staying to watch the effectiveness of her spell.
Dan's luck continues to see him through, as well as his extensive training in self defense. The only one at a distance enough to appreciate the combined display of dodging and weapon deflection is Neb; Those few blades that make it through don't penetrate his armor, sliding off instead.
Unfortunately, Dan couldn't defend himself and his captured quarry. When the rain of swords is over, he may be frustrated to discover that the man is now a pincushion of blades, more than one in his head.
Leothe is taken through the side and through the leg, and pinned to the ground unconcious, slowly bleeding out. His lack of armor or expectation of attack made him an easy target. Kobakk's armor actually deflects a few blades, but eventually one of them found a chink in his shoulder, and another pierced his thigh. He quickly falls unconscious once more from pain and blood loss. Annetta is pinned to the ground by both shoulders, and is remarkably still concious. However, that doesn't change that it hurts like hell. If not for her armor she might be dead now.
Myrnal had only just walked up to stand within about five feet of Neb when this all happened.
