Introduction: The History of the Two Worlds

Unread postby Endesu » Wed Mar 05, 2003 11:30 pm

(Written some time ago, edited slightly for postage purposes..)

- During the earlier years of Earth's existence, there existed 'with' it a separate but unified planet. This planet, formed and created in a separate plane of existence, shared with Earth the same atmosphere, formed after the same amount of developmental time.. with that, the same s hape..

More or less, this separate planet existed as a 'mirror world', or an exact copy. Whatever eason there was for two copies of one planet prototype was not provided by whatever Gods presided over the sequence of events.

As both of the worlds began to shift and reform within their respective planes, differences between the two began to form, due in part to the distinct location of each world. These differences caused different rates of growth to occur on each world.. not to mention make the foundation for radically different lifeforms.

- These very lifeforms, ranging from simple one-celled organisms to primative-minded beasts, grew, evolved, and adapted at a rate similar to that of the future inhabitants of Earth. Yet the mirror world's separate but similar ecosystem, along with its different rates of climate fluctuation drove a deeper gap between the respective futures of each world.

-During the time of dinosaurs on Earth, there emerged from the beasts on the mirror world, a highly evolved race of lizardmen. Following roughly the same route of adaptation and evolution that humanity took later on (flaunting the differences set by the planet's composition, almost) the lizardmen soon flourished across the face of their world, developing rudimentary tribes as they did so, before further establishing and developing a more advanced social structure, in addition to forming language, culture, and government over the years. Religion was soon to come.

- At the time humans had finally come into the foci of creation itself, the lizardmen on the mirror world had already entered into a competitive market system. The rapid development of their own culture had expanded the thirst for competition in any field open to them, and the desire to hawk various wares and food items was too great for some to resist. Their minds, too, improved with the rapidly shifting face of their society, forming a perfect equilibrium with their own bodies. They possessed great 'Sight Force' (Re: Psionic capability), but rather then consider it as an extension of their minds, they thought of it as but a boon from their caste of Gods. Religion itself had been developing silently, but strongly, and most, if not all of the lizardmen were devout polytheists.

-As humanity finally, successfully established itself across the face of Earth, the lizardmen were locked in an intense religious war. Despite the many developments that had previously unified the lizardmen, spread across the face of the planet, as they were, devotion to a specific God within the available caste became a common practice of many countries, and zealous belief drove the inhabitants of each 'nation' to war with the others. Disciples of each god battled incessantly, and for years this holy war of blood raged on.

-When the war had finally ended, only one major culture was left existing on the world, the rest annihilated in the bloody struggle. This culture was based within a city on the island of Carsha. This city was named after its God of choice, Kaidosia. The inhabitants naturally called themselves Kaidosians, and, eventually coming to the realization that their world was all but barren, they began to spread and flourish throughout the war-torn lands, seeking to rebuild where there was only but death. The planet was named by the Kaidosians themselves as Knossos.

-With the years passing by, the Kaidosians became steadily aware of a sister world to their own planet. While they were incapable of moving from their own world, they became curious of their apparently one-sided knowledge of their mirror bretheren..

*Nods*

More of an outline than an actual story.

Needs fleshing out, thenit would be good for a third person omniscient narrative.

Image Image Image Image Image ImageImage
